Just saw this article on gamefront

www.gamefront.com/mass-effect-3-ending-hatred-5-reasons-the-fans-are-right/

and it's so full of win that I nearly shed a tear of joy.

The article pretty much summarizes my problems with the ending. The only thing I'd add is that we never learn what the future holds for the characters that survive.

Okay, if nothing changes, I will never play a BioWare game ever again (only if I pirated it :3)
They can't end this saga like this and if they are serious with this ending, they lost their friggin mind o_0

Ladies and gentlemen. Keep this up. Some media outlets are finally starting to see sense. With some luck this trend will continue. Public opinion is a major factor in these things.

To the people who have donated to the charity, and the people organising things here, kudos to you. Whatever the poorly researched articles at certain gaming media outlets may claim, we know that we're not just stomping our feet petulantly. And some other outside sources are taking note of that.

Continue to campaign for the ending Mass Effect deserves. Continue to be civil and logical in the face of whatever criticism is heaped on us by the aforementioned gaming media. And continue to support the outlets who show an understanding and willingness to research what they write about.

A response won't come soon, not before the game is officially launched worldwide. And even then not for a week or so after that. But keep up the pressure, all it takes is a little time every day to post your feelings, keep this alive and spread the word.

Why build up a binding to the characters if it doesn't matter in the end?

Been a few hours and once again updating on G4TV's poll on the ending. Some outlets have said it is just our "small" community that is opposed to the endings. Well G4 has a much larger audience and this is what they have polled:

Poll: Did you like Mass Effect 3's ending?
Not at all! - 83%
I did. It had the closure the series needed. - 2.5%
I'm not sure how to feel about the ending. - 6%
I haven't beaten it yet!!! - 8.5%

And also, I know reading Kotaku is bad for our health right now, but if you go into some of those articles, especially the last one by Luke and read the comments, you have many people placing support in our stand and actually turning a bit on the Kotaku writers. So the bloggers there may think we are "entitled" but they forget they are speaking to the gaming community and the community feels screwed.

Piracy isn't really the solution. But yeah, I'll risk the spoilers and wait for reviews and player feedback before I invest in another BW game. Or any EA game, for that matter.

I guess, i back to anger stage again. I think, the Casey Hudson interview to Digitaltrends was the last drop.

*wall of text*
Here is my story. It's about happy endings and real life.
I live in Russia. We had Parliament elections on December, 4 2011. There were a widesparead fraud in that poll (you can see a bunch of videos on youtube). So people were unsatisfied and started riots. We were peacefull and 100% Paragon. We want to do something good for our country. We united in groups, donated money and wrote petitions. Many thousands were working the observers on the President Election on March, 4 2012 and registred a bunch of frauds again.
And  guess what? Mr. Putin has won again and now will rule for another 12 years. On second day (March 5) people were arrested, one of my friends is in hospital with broken arm. We've lost. Yes, that's a real life ending. We've run out butterflies and rainbows a long time ago.
I was counting on Mass effect 3. I thought i can escape reality to the universe where choices matter - even for a short time. I think, that was kind of psychotherapy for me. But then Santa comes and turns out to be a Boogeyman.
Bioware. i... i trusted you.

I don't say grim ending is bad. Hell, i like Dostoevsky  and he wrote a pretty depressive books. But in the game about choices the ending must have choices, especialy  the ending of the trilogy like Mass Effect.
I saw theories about indoctrination and all. I don't believe it. I think, all endings are bad.  When i heard that Reapers moved the Citadel to Earth for no reason (seriously, WHY did they do that?!) i knew, that all that follows will be a one great plot hole. Unfortunatelly, i was right.

Sorry for mistakes, i am not friendly with English language.
I think i need more kittens to calm down.

By the way, my friend just finished the game. He is russian hacker. Angry russian hacker. I suggest Bioware to renew their security protocols.
:crying:

I'm so frustrated and disappointed that their official statement is that 'the endings are in a way fine'.
I'm with you guys standing firmly with the oppinion that the endings completely and utterly ruined the whole trilogy, but seeing stuff like this only make me think "It's over.".

I've decided to join the front. Got ME in 2009, got ME2 on release and of course ME3 as well. I've really gotten used to the characters and have always romanced Liara in the games, I was looking forward to seeing what happened at the end with our LIs, but in the end all we got is us separated from all the people we have grown to love through the years. That is the main reason why I didn't like the ending, by all means have one where your Shepard dies but BW should have made a flexible ending that matters. It seems that all the War Assets we gathered were not needed because the ending is the same in all cases, please I just want to have an ending where you can continues your relationship with your LI and an epilogue would be brilliant.

Sons of Earth! Of Omega! My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of varren and shattered shields when the Age of Men and Asari and all the other supercool species comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good ground, I bid you stand, Men of BioWare-Social!

Hold the line!
