Also another great comic from the escapist. (possibly has been posted here before)

About 500 times, yes :P

Still good, though. Personally, I just hit the depression stage pretty much straight away. Sat at the end of my bed, feeling like someone had reached inside of me and pulled out my internal organs.

Is it possible to be in denial and depression stages at the same time?  I so am right now.

Actually, liking stuff like Highlander and Star Trek (Enterprise in this instance) is helping me some.

Just.... ignore everything stupid and crappy about the ips you like.  In the case of Highland, well, that pretty much just leaves the first movie.  With Enterprise, everything up to the series finale is in, the holodeck crap of future Riker is out.

That said, hardly my ideal fallback position here.

Hold the Line.

Hell me too but for the past 3 days ive been stuck in the anger stage, ****s getting fixed one way or another.

Reminds me of Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure
Billy:
Is Grim gonna be OK?

Mandy:
He'll be fine. He's going through the seven stages of grief. Shock.

Grim:
How could this happen?

Mandy:
Denial.

Grim:
It's a mistake. No way this can happen.

Mandy:
Bargaining.

Grim:
It's OK, it's OK, maybe I can fix it.

Mandy:
Fear.

Grim:
There's no way I can fix it!

Mandy:
Anger.

Grim:
I'm gonna pull Boogie's nose off and put it in a jar!

Mandy:
Despair.

Grim:
And when I'm done with Boogie, I'm coming for you little pukes!

Mandy:
He's stuck on anger.
Edit: fail spoiler tag is fail.

Casey made a comment: http://www.vg247.com...gle-player-dlc/

Too bad guys, we're basically got robbed of the experience. Casey stated he wanted the ending to be remembered and not forgotten. He sure delivered! This ending is like George Lucas would make a 7th Star Wars movie: the force is gone. The ending is that bad. I am astounded (and that is an experience in understatements) that he is so unwilling to listen to what 90% of the gamers think. The polls are almost unanimous in their opinions, 90%. That would hold in any statistical situation as far as elections are concerned. 90% are against the endings Casey, that is no joke. Why are you not listening?

The best thing is the first comment:

"Should I ever meet Casey Hudson I’ll be sure to kick him in the balls so that it’s a memorable experience for him."

I almost regret playing the mass effect series.  The reason I say almost is because it brought me my GF.  To see him say that feels like such a kick in the teeth. I was gonna try dragon age(even after the things I heard) but now bioware won't see another cent of my money

I still think Bioware is gonna come out of the box and hit us with something HUGE, and we'll all feel stupid. I would prefer to feel stupid rather than what I feel now... soul sucking depression.

Well. They (he?) wanted to upset some of the fanbase, which they did.

They wanted us to talk about the ending, which we are.

In fact, they managed to upset maybe 80% - 90% of fans, and paved the way for thousands of pages of unhappy comments. Bigger victory than hoped?

Shame it had to come at the expense of leaving some of us feeling bad enough to not want to play any of the games again. I'm not excited about the prospect of mid-story DLC. What's the point when you know the story ends the way it does? Hate to resort to sarcasm but the longer this goes on the worse it feels. That wasn't a controversial ending per se. It was controversially bad story-telling.

Why are we the stupid ones? If that was planned from the beginning it wasn't really effective in anything, besides making their customers angry.

Wow...I finished the game last week and have been fighting my xbox, my router, ea and origin to finally make it into the "big boy" room where we can really talk about the things that matter without being locked out or locked down. I think I'm just going to savor the moment and revel in my new found "freedom"....... "sigh".......its so clean and pretty and bright in here, and smells really good to.

I have been dying to tell someone.... the whole we created the reapers to kill you because organic synthetic conflict is inevitable is straight out f the Sarah Connor Chronicles. No one bought it then, in fact the inevitability of humanity constantly building their own destruction was probably the hardest to swallow pill for the fans of that show which of course then self destructed. Let's face it, sci-fi fans are to smart for the writers in many cases. Just look at all those people who actually learned klingon.

anyhow, I think I'll just find a quiet corner to sit in for a little bit

So Casey's reasoning for making the ending terrible is because it's memorable? Sure, if I go to a restaurant and have an amazing meal which ends up with the waiter taking a **** on my dessert, it's pretty damn memorable. That doesn't mean that it's good though. It was a terrible way to end the trilogy, just like taking a **** on your dessert is a terrible way to end a meal.

It's just spin. I wouldn't try to associate it with reasoning.

I feel dumb if all this handwringing was for nothing because this was some clever ploy to get us to react. It is Bioware. They have made us feel a great deal of emotion over the course of all 3 games. Them going over the top
by giving us an open ending making us feel true outrage so we can appreciate a victory even more? I can beleive it.

I have doubts, but I can beleive it.

I have to vent my anger and dissappointment as well...what the hell was that about ....!!! Mass effect universe is a SF space opera not a dystopian future type Syndicate world.
It is a world of hope and unity! ! What has Casey Hudson done! !! This should have a good feel factor ending. Sheppard survives and old machines and old VI go away to make way for this universe. There ja no need to destroy mass relays. !!
The galaxy is already crippled and destroyed and it will take years or generations to rebuild. !!!
Why putting it back into stone age! ! It doesn't deserve it as it has suffered enough! !
this is a first cycle that broke in millennia !! Only possible way to end it is to let then continue as they earned it! !! Not punish them.
From leaked stuff in November looks like it was meant to finish on more positive notes.
Jesus Casey its OK you don't want to make anymore games after Sheppard times.
But don't destroy our universe just so as you said in an interview " that players will talk about it ".this was bleak enough game the 3 rd one. But man give us hope and change that blasted ending please .....
upset mass effect fan.

But to take it this far is just plain stupid. They are literrally risking alienating BIOWARE FANS, not just ME Fans. Lets see how long EA keeps a studio that isn't producing money. <_<

Maybe, but there is such a thing as going too far. To me (if the game actually continues with a DLC) it won't repair the damage done. While I will probably like it, the love is gone. And that is a very very bad way of treating your fans.

As I stated in another post. How the in the world did anybody with a head on their shoulders think that an ending with so many plot holes was acceptable? I can't think of another story with so many plot holes created in the last minutes as this one.

I thought by now I would feel better but you guys are right that the longer this goes on the worse you feel cos I still feel sick to the stomache thinking about it and I can't stop thinking about it. My thoughts just lead back to ME.

On a side note: RetakeME is doing a great job raising money for a great cause, glad something positive is coming from all this negativeness.

I believe the damage is done. I don't see a DLC turning it all upside down. I'm sorry.

Btw, is there any other RPG franchises out there? Other dan DA I mean.

*EDIT:* I desperately need to feel that there is something good coming from someone... ME touched me in a way no game ever has. I'm hoping someone else can do the same.
