So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Eh, I'm disappointed, but its not like we didn't expect it. Commander Shepered not sacraficing himself makes no sense, he needed to go down like a hero, and so he did. What I find more offensive is the bad presentation of the synthsis ending. Seriously? Ethertal green chipsets over all the models? Bloody hell Bioware, have a little more imagination.
And what is the point in EDI becoming more synthetic?

Personally I won't be buying any more DLC for ME3 unless they have an ending one (and it had better be a free one). Not out of protest really. But what's the point in, say, taking back Omega when everyone there is going to die from the relays blowing up?
How can they take back Omega, when the mass-relays are destroyed?
There is no reason to take Omega back (or rather imposible). Omega is just junk in space - nothing more.

easy when u finish the game it reverts u to a save just before the illusive mans base most likey for DLC
Why should someone buy it? When we know that the mass-relay will be destroyed, it would mean nothing for us players, because it would be meaningless to take it back.

Maybe, but there is such a thing as going too far. To me (if the game actually continues with a DLC) it won't repair the damage done. While I will probably like it, the love is gone. And that is a very very bad way of treating your fans.
Speaking of DLC, unless it's to offer us a better ending, I actually feel very little desire to play any. It was bad enough that once the credits and bit after was done to suddenly see my Shepard on the Normandy again, like nothing had happened. How could I possibly play any DLC knowing how the galaxy ends?
Given some of the twitter comments by Mike Gamble along the lines of "If you only knew what I know" and the like regarding the ending, and the ending shipped isn't the real ending, then why the shab didn't they ship the proper ending with the game?
Talk about major reputational damage.

What are your thoughts on the reaction to the game’s endings?
I didn’t want the game to be forgettable, and even right down to the
sort of polarizing reaction that the ends have had with people–debating
what the endings mean and what’s going to happen next, and what
situation are the characters left in. That to me is part of what’s
exciting about this story. There has always been a little bit of mystery
there and a little bit of interpretation, and it’s a story that people
can talk about after the fact.
seems that they are happy with our reaction on the ending at it is... no hope for changes...

I hope BioWare will directly adress this issue at some point. What Casey Hudson said is very vague and noncommital.
