The ending blew.  Bioware loves that the ending blew.  It's a sign that they've done their jobs as artists.  That's about where we are at right now.

To be fair, you can't undermine their artistic ability. One, they've sold games. Two, you bought them. And three, safe for the ending, no one is complaining about their writing ability. It's top notch. We all make mistakes.

Aw man. My friend just text me. He's about to start playing ME3 and he just told me he thinks that I must be overreacting to the ending and that it can't be THAT bad.

If the mind control theory turns out to be true, doesn't that mean that we purchased an unfinished product?

I am honestly confused by this theory and the above thought makes me think that it is just wishful thinking to try and make sense of a bad ending.

If you were sold a book with the last 20 pages missing and then sent them in the mail a month after finishing it would that even be legal?

I was very disappointed with the ending after enjoying the rest of the game, however I am certain I will download it or even purchase it if there is a new ending DLC.

But not letting passionate fans know there is something good on the horizon and providing them with a product missing a major component seems like a dangerous road to tread no?

to be clear, the ending DID surprise me... so much for artistic ability... i just wish their artistic ending could have surprised me in a positive way *sob*

Casey Hudson trying to justify the horrible endings. "They would have been forgettable after all.", "We did this to polarize."

Trying to appear all artistic - great. Now, that is just ignorant.
"Oh look, this steaming pile of *** is actually modern art. Just meant to polarize y'all trollolol."

That is their way of enacting damage control. I wouldn't read too far into it. Indirect, distancing... he's just defending himself as best he can at the moment, and his team. It's his job.

Yes it is that time again! Please remember ladies and gentlemen to please stay civil. Please do not troll, attack, or insult anyone up to and including Bioware/EA Employees and management. thank you for keeping it pretty damn civil for 1097 pages.

Hold the Line!

My friends have told me the same thing. And I said the same thing when people tried to warn me. Let them enjoy the incredible game up until the ending though :wizard:

Usual reminder (I know, broken record): Let's try to keep the Bioware bashing to a minimum. Let's keep things civil and cool so that we have more chance to be taken seriously. It'd be easy to get angry about all this, but let's just play it cool.

I don't fault the ending. There's nothing wrong with it. What bothers me is that your choices didn't seem to make any difference.

This is the final installment of Shepherd's storyline. This is where everything should come to a conclusion related to him and you get to see the ultimate end-result of all the choices you made across the 3 games. But none of that happened. You just get a stock ending with slightly different variations. Your previous choices, your paragon or renegade scores, don't seem to matter at all.

I have a hard time believing this is what Bioware wanted to finish the franchise with. At least in ME2 we were constantly reminded that ME3 was coming so hang on to your save. But Bioware made it a point to say that this is the end of Shepherd. So you should see what all your choices you made accomplished. But you don't.

The whole thing is very strange...thats why I feel like something is being overlooked.

Yes that would mean BioWare/EA rippes us off. But it still would be better than current situation.

- Most of us have to fix our mistakes.
- I only cited the ending in my complaint so we appear to have no disagreements here.
- I actually can undermine the artistic value of a terrible ending.
- Yes they already have my money.  But I feel ripped off and will give them no more on future products.
- I am complaining about the writing ability of those responsible for the ending.
