Reassured by the indoctrination theory I just determined I'd play ME3 as long as it takes me to unlock a new, real ending.

I'm sounding quite desperate, am I?

Nah, that's just the indoctrination speaking through you ;)

If you feel it is insulting please explain it so, say otherwise I.E. saying they have insulted us or retweeted insults, can spark something we do not want to happen I.E. trolling, flamewars, and eventually thread closure.

Hold the Line!

I thought that was obvious. NOT saying anything is to me insulting as well. We discuss this in uncounted threads and comments and Bioware does not give a straight comment. What's this about?

I am just asking to not fly off the handle and say they are insulting us, when they are ju.... let me put it this way, do NOT take the next couple of lines I have to say personally:

Calling you an idiot for your opinion and simply ignoring you when you talk are both insults YES. However, one is a direct insult while the other is implied, are both reprhensible? YES! Will both evoe the same response? No. If I walk up to you and call you an idiot chances are I'm getting hurt. If I sit there and ignore you chances are I wont. So that equals to:

I BW calls us idiots directly, or is said to have without proper fact checking, the forums explode...or implode theyve already exploded.

If they stay silent, while yes it is rather hurtful :crying:, the forums stay alive, people keep a cool head, or discussions go on and don't get locked.

Regardless, if you want to continue lets keep going in messages please, it's getting off topic

Quote: "Regarding the From Ashes DLC, Hudson thinks fans are starting to see "common sense". "Initially, it was spun in a direction that suggested that we had taken the lore out of Mass Effect 3," he said. "Now the people who actually have played Mass Effect 3 and the DLC they know that that's not true."

Excueeezee me? 'Not True?" Have you been listening at all? Complaints are about the game not having a complete and fulfilling ending (something you promised). Instead we got three different colors of the same ending. Shepard dies, Relays are gone (as are the solar systems, because you (BW) stated (very clearly) that a destroyed relay station would destroy a solar system it was in), Joker with my selected crew (and LI) magically appears in another system. And oh yeah, shepard acted against everything that have already been established over all the games. And no choices over what ending you want is possible (such as. Hey kid, shut down the frakkin reapers already because you obviously have no clue) How about that? ... Here is the down to the metal deal. You promised a fulfilling ending for everyone... everyone! Well sir, I am not fulfilled... what I see is a game that is not finished at all. What I see is a game that ends in the mind of a dying Shepard.. That is not conclusion (and no, that gasp of air clip is not conclusion either). That is what I am mad about. I am mad, because I bought a game with *no* ending, even though this was promised. What is the point to read a book where the ending is ripped out? Please, answer me that one. Because you're not making any sense at all.

Usual reminder: Let's make sure to keep this civil and keep the Bioware bashing to a minimum. Even with the articles coming out against the charity drive let's not get off course and turn this ugly. Stay cool and civil!

That Poll is mind blowing..

Did someone hack the ME facebook page.

Some of those options are crazy, or is that just how facebook polls work? Anyone can add their own answer?

Im sorry but I have been monitering several twitter feeds at one time, and I may have missed the tweets, please link me to where they have insulted us or retweeted something insulting about us, please make sure it is from a bioware emplyee not from a moderator or someone else who chooses to donate their time to Bioware.

On more than a few occasions, they have been quick to delete the tweets.

Screen grabs....I want proof before I inform the masses....

Right, let's say to me they are quite impolite by not answerin. That better?

Still I feel deeply disappointed by the end and the absence of any consequences of my choices.

I really don't see them changing a thing....At the end of the day Mass effect is theirs. If they deem their ending acceptable then it will stay, we can't force them to change anything if they are unwilling. If they are so adamant on keeping this ending let them..they're just digging their own graves by alienating fans, and being dismissive jerks. I'm going to be honest and say I never once thought what we were doing here was going to change the ending, but it felt good. (the charity)

No, we can't force them to change the ending. We cannot demand a new ending. What we can do is give our honest feedback and plead with Bioware. The choice of words by all of these media outlets is so ridiculous. "Large group of fans asking Bioware for alternative ending" would be an unbiased and honest title for an article. "Vocal fans DEMAND new ending from Bioware" is just asking for flames. If I have a history of donating to charities, and a charity sends me a letter asking for donations, are they DEMANDING I pay them? What ENTITLES them to plead with me?

The company has in the past been so proud about its fan reputation, to the point of telling us we helped co-create the game. And yet the second the title is released, it ceases to be "giving feedback" and becomes "forcing". When fan reaction for ME2 asked for a Tali/Garrus romance, Bioware listened to those who supported them for years and added it in. I don't recall massive gaming sites writing articles along the lines of "Idiotic Entitled Fans Force Bioware to Submit to Their Demand and Add New Romances: Why This Will Destroy Art Forever" As others have said, the comparison to a work of art is ludicrous. From the very onset, before ME1's release, we were told it was our story. That sentiment was only repeated towards the release of ME3. You can't tell millions that it's their story and then suddenly be taken aback when they react to the fact that they've had control taken away. As it's been said, Mass Effect was written by a shuffling group of old/new writers. Mass Effect is a video game, and it's always had DLC. So, you can pay money to have new additions to the story, but when that addition happens to be at the end, it's an infringement on creativity.

Finally, I'd to respond to the vague allegations that Bioware answer its fans here will somehow "lead us down a dark path" as so many sites are claiming. Ignoring what your fanbase wants and doing what you think is best gets us stories like The Phantom Menace. Releasing when you've pissed your fanbase off and having the humility to change your story gets us Sherlock Holmes.

Well said!
