Honestly, (and I'm sure this is the same for everyone else) everything up to the white light and the platform was absolutely amazing. London felt truly besieged by the reapers, everything was desperate, Shepard was nearly dead. Even if Bioware changed it to just one ending of Shepard destroys the reapers, but the relays remain active, it would still be a much better ending. I would also like something similar to Fallout New Vegas endings where we get to know what happened to each of the different civilizations and characters we have come to love.

I dont know if this was asked before .. there is a lot to read. But if you took the ending ignoring the 3 choices and put it into black and white and showed it to another person who completed the game do you think they could tell you what choice you made from the footage alone?

Shepherd doesn't die in all the endings.  If you max out military strength (5000+) you see an image of him breathing if you destroy the reapers.  Dunno about the Synergy or Control options though.

Exactly. Even if they keep the endings, I just want more of an explanation of what happened. It shouldn't be left up to the gamer's mind. If we were given more of a choice into how it ended, sure. But being giving three choices that end in similar results - explain what effects those choices had on the galaxy except different colors. Even in the merge ending, all we get to see if EDI and Joker happy. What effects did our choice have on everyone else that we had been fighting for. I know Mass Effect was Shepard's story, but we also care about the people around him/her.
