So we can't get the ending we want after all?

This is the best ending I've seen anyone come up with for ME3. It gets my vote! Please make it happen, Bioware!

This crap ending simply ended. Even the worst endings leave you knowing where the greater galaxy stands.
This is like a movie about the end of the world where the main character dies, and immediately ends on intercontinental transportation being decimated. What about the people?

BW had a poll up with one of the oll remarks - ending ruined at all: That particular result went through the roof - then BW immediately took it down.
BW IS running scared!
They took it down becaue people were voting "potato", in other words they allowed custom answers

Actually if you looked at the url it wasn't going to the official Mass Effect facebook page. IE; someone set up a fake with a poll, and people took the bait.
EDIT: Or I could just be mistaken and someone messed up when they set up the poll

Just for a laugh here are the options people created.
Obviously it was a good thing they took it down, that kind of response doesn't really help us sadly but I am sure it gets the point across.
Pretty sure that was on the main site? If it wasn't why would they have taken it down?

Here to me is what gets to the heart of the issue, and I have a hard time believing even people who say they liked the ending would raise their hand to.
Raise your hand if the only thing you expected to see was were the reapers losing, and concerns about the greater galaxy.
Who seriously prior to playing this game predicted or would have guessed an ending that didn't tell you what happened to your squad mates, nothing, and as much as I enjoy joker being on my crew, he doesn't Cary the same weight as even my least used squad member
I expected the 3 endings we got, no lie....but i expected another 2 maybe 3 at least....one where i didn't try hard enough, p-oed too many fokls and the reapers reaped me...one where i tried my darndest and took it to the reapers and saved the galaxy, and one where the galaxy was left in shambles, there were many sacrafices but we pulled through (not all of us) but we got the job done

The are very few forms of pure art in the world. If you are an artist and you create something for yourself or others that was not intended to be SOLD to an audience, then yeah, that's art. Books, movies, TV shows, plays, games... not so much. Don't get me wrong here, I have no intention of belittling his work, but even Shakespeare was a commercial hack; he had to pander to his audience (most notably the Queen) or they would not have paid him. Once you charge an audience money for your creation, it becomes a commercial product. It is no longer purely "art" and your customers have every right to complain if they are presented with an unsatisfactory product.
And that's not even getting into the false advertising issues...
So don't let the naysayers make you lose heart. Hold the line!

So... all those people saying we're wrong to do the Child's Play thing? That we're using a charity for our own ends? Don't care. I mean, not at all. At the end of the day, the worst thing that happens is that we're called jerks... and tens of thousands of dollars go to children in need.
I call that a win, even if I get called names.
The altruism of charity is debatable anyway. Reason being a
little thing called “tax write-off.” So, in that sense, charity is always for a
personal end, even if you aren’t conscious of it. But charity allows money to
be given to those who need it, point enough. Frankly, I’ve read some of the
griping, it isn’t a very good spin-job.

My friend (who is also a big ME Fan and is disappointed with the endings) just came back home after 2 weeks off to work. Just want to show him what's going on right now - he will join us regardeless but I want to give him all the sources and facts.

I have a question.
Karpyshyn was the creator, so mother and father of ME, right?
Why would they send him to the Star Wars team while the dev. of ME2?
Isn't it like seperating parents from their child, so they have to raise another one instead?
I know, he isn't working anymore for BW as far as i know.
Just asking.
Drew is an accomplished writer, not only of his own works, but numerous novels for the Star Wars expanded universe, including a very good "Darth Bane" novel series.
To have such a big SW-related name aboard TOR is quite a reasonable decision.
He's recently left BW to pursue his own writing, as far as I know.

Bioware has seen nothing yet. I can't wait till the Asian countries are done with their playthrough of Mass Effect 3. Their reaction to the ending will probably make our reactions seem tame. Although my friend who works in PR did say something very interesting about Mass Effect 3's ending, it could be that the actual ending was purposely withheld from the disk to be released as a patch to everyone after the game has completed its worldwide release to create hype and a new experience and also to prevent piracy.imelik wrote...
What ever the reason is that they deleted the poll, it shows that what we are doing is working.
And they seem to be worried.
So my comrades from all the fleets, WE WILL HOLD THE LINE !
Well, that might be the case yeah, but that also means i wont be pre-ordering any more Bioware games because when i buy a game in want it to have an ending. Not someething that makes no sense and then wait few months until they see fit to give me what i already paid for and they had promised. Bad move Bioware.
And yeah, we could do with some new blood and show Bioware that we really mean business. Because apparently they still havent realized it.
