Does the amount of assets affect the ending at all in any real way? I maxed out the asset bar and basically got every asset I could, I think I had around 6k when all was done. What did that do? Nothing. There was still the annoying Reaper Child and the stupid destroy-all-synthetics-and-the-Mass-Relays ending.

a clip of you seeing someone in N7 armor catch a breath (of life or a dying breath who knows?)

This is the extract that I found on the mass effect wiki:
New True Ending All AlongEdit
A few hours ago an anonymous user who leaked the multiplayer DLC (just an hour earlier) has claimed that the ending fiasco was deliberate because of the game’s storyline being leaked. They changed it so they could have more time to prepare the real ending DLC.
It is called “The Truth”, and will be released in April or May… You will be able to continue your story if you picked any of the endings. Your decision during the sequence will have a big effect on the ending of The Truth. Also, The Truth adds two new sets of enemies, new classes, and multiplayer maps, including “Firebase Hive”, which is a small area of the last remaining Collector Ship included in the DLC, which, by the way, you should definitely bring Javik the Prothean along if you have them.

The following picture shows some of the leaked multiplayer classes and races. One race that isn’t shown is the Prothean Adept and Vanguard. This DLC also, enables the ability for owners of the preorder and From Ashes DLC to find their DLC weapons in reinforcement packs.

All of that content, and this might as well be labelled an expansion.

And it’s Free!

Frankly all of this sounds a little 'too good to be true'. :(

He's lied to us before.. Paragon says we give him a break, renegade says we keep the gun to his head till we see it..
I'm all for renegade.

With so much history with ME, though, the ambiguous, inconclusive ending at the end of a trilogy will always be remembered as a stain, no matter how they patch it up. It would be like going to a movie, getting some weird stuff at the end and then being told "Sorry, if you want to see the real ending, you've got to come back in a couple of months and cough up a few bucks."

I can understand them not wanting the ending leaked. I just think they've handled the whole thing poorly.

Kee'lah se'lai.

Exactly how I feel; I have a feeling the artistic integrity of the story will prove preserved, and that their actual vision for the whole thing doesn't end with this rubbish.  But so mishandled.  Just awful.

I will not be preordering any more BW / EA titles unless they come out and say, look, we tried something, seemed like a good idea at the time, it clearly wasn't, it won't happen again.  And that's just if any new / expanded content is free.  If it isn't, I'm done.

One of the hardest things for me to take, too, was that Shepard was alone at the end. She went through so much pain and struggle and held the weight of the world on her shoulders, and in the end she still didn't get even a small fraction of happiness like being with Kaidan, for example, who was miraculously transported to the Normandy even though she had him at her side in the end. They couldn't make it more clear that you cared about all of those friends for nothing, even though they made a big deal in the end rock em sock em speech about the bonds of friendship.

These are all the "16 endings" that we wanted, with they're multiple variables, that are defined by our actions, and that every player gets a different one... i feel as sad as I did when I finished this game...

I still can't believe why Bioware won't say something like "Guys. We hear you. We understand you think something is wrong. We're going to fix it. Give us time." Or even "Guys. We hear you, but this is how it is. We're not changing anything."

I just want some certainty, you know?

To quote the Joker: it's all... part of the plan.

In all seriousness though I guess they are in fact waiting until more people finish. Once everyone has had a chance to respond their feelings then we should hear something. Or maybe this was something they really didn't see coming and are trying to pick and choose their words carefully.

So I got some funny (dirty) audio from these forums wa back last year and I put it on YT. Long story short it attracted over a million views. I have now directed those who will now see the video to this thread and I hope more will now join our cause.

Please, guys, stay on topic. It's better create the separate thread for LI discussion.

Wellll.... it kind of ties in to the lack of closure / completeness of ME3, I think it's a valid topic as it ties in to the overall lack of any real endings.

Another note to newcomers: Check out the reviews linked in my signature; they're probably the best articulations so far of the problem at hand.

Alot of mainstream gaming sites are pouring scorn on us cause they depend heavily on ad revenue. That and the way publishers nowadays will refuse to give them early review copies if they give unfavourable ratings to their games. Remember the whole Gamespot fiasco with Kane & Lynch when they fired an employee who gave it a low score when Eidos had taken out a huge ad page on Gamespot?

As Kotaku has become quite popular they've also been indoctrinated by the tantalizing lure of ad revenue and 'gifts' from publishers. Hence the peculiar about face by Luke in insulting the petition.

Because the global release date is this week afaik. That means until recently the game wasn't even released everywhere, and I suppose that BioWare want to give everyone the chance to finish the game before directly and officially addressing the issue. That is assuming there is going to be any reaction other than what we've already seen.

What's important is that we keep the threads alive and people aware until BioWare does make a statement. Don't let it be forgotten. Hold the line.

Okay, I get that. But a statement like the ones I suggested wouldn't spoil anything for anyone, and would do something to dampen the outrage. Right now, they're just letting this get worse and worse for them. It's a terrible PR move.

I cant even end that quest because I choose the Paragon side and the damned bug ****ed it up!

What quest? The comicbook-quest?
This is a glimpse of the comic which you can find in the CE-edition of ME3, right?

Yes, but they are talking about Omega and Aria. And there is a quest to unity the Mercenarys under the command of Aria in ME3. ..

With all the links to negative stories on Kotaku and other sites all I can say is that these sites are either being paid by EA to run these stories or they are just journalists and not actual game fans. With the tweeted links to said negative stories by BW employees, the fomrer could well be true. If they were fans, they would understand how easy it was to fall in love with this series and its characters. THAT is why people are upset, how can they fail to see that? Kotoku is rubbish anyway but geez it annoys me.

I believe that we've missed out on one of the biggest points as of yet...

Mass Effect has always been a single-player game, there are those whom have no internet connection or any way to recieve DLC. If some is released, then I believe that the only way they could allow the ENTIRE populace to recieve it is to allow a non-digital version to be purchased. If any of you are familiar with The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles, Fallout 3 DLC, or both the Lost and Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony for GTA IV, you know what I mean. They were available to buy from stores and essentially it allowed the players who don't play the game online to recieve it.

Other than that, if this "The Truth" DLC is legit, or is even remotely legit (in the form that it extends the singleplayer/solves our ending problems) then I believe that things may be looking for us.
