I believe that we've missed out on one of the biggest points as of yet...

Mass Effect has always been a single-player game, there are those whom have no internet connection or any way to recieve DLC. If some is released, then I believe that the only way they could allow the ENTIRE populace to recieve it is to allow a non-digital version to be purchased. If any of you are familiar with The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles, Fallout 3 DLC, or both the Lost and Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony for GTA IV, you know what I mean. They were available to buy from stores and essentially it allowed the players who don't play the game online to recieve it.

Other than that, if this "The Truth" DLC is legit, or is even remotely legit (in the form that it extends the singleplayer/solves our ending problems) then I believe that things may be looking for us.

It wouldn't necessarily need to by a physical expansion/DLC. Look at ME2 - LotSB and Arrival are cannon. And they're only available through download.

Does the amount of assets affect the ending at all in any real way? I maxed out the asset bar and basically got every asset I could, I think I had around 6k when all was done. What did that do? Nothing. There was still the annoying Reaper Child and the stupid destroy-all-synthetics-and-the-Mass-Relays ending.

a clip of you seeing someone in N7 armor catch a breath (of life or a dying breath who knows?)

Shepard taking a breath ( surrounded by rubble/concrete ? )
@4:34 listen to the sound, that has to be a Reaper
None of the scenes past Harbinger's beam hitting you happened :

Maybe the sound is metal buckling?

I've been listening to "Leaving Earth" from the soundtrack ever since i saw the ending.

Hold the Line

A Future for the Krogan over here. I find it actually inspires a little bit of hope in me, it's nice. As much as I hold the writing staff kinda questionably right now, it's nice to see the composing team knocked it out of the park if I say so myself.

Hold the line, for the children! And the futures...

I still can't believe why Bioware won't say something like "Guys. We hear you. We understand you think something is wrong. We're going to fix it. Give us time." Or even "Guys. We hear you, but this is how it is. We're not changing anything."

I just want some certainty, you know?

That's my thinking too - I want to know if it's all still worth caring about, or if I should just call it another should-have-been-great and move on (possibly to rewatch Serenity, for ironies sake)

It's Clint Mansell.  Good luck getting rid of it, his tunes are viral :D.  And with good reason.  Look up / listen to what else he's done, you'll probably recogize 'em.  (side note, MOON IS A BRILLIANT MOVIE GO WATCH IT NOW)

One of the hardest things for me to take, too, was that Shepard was alone at the end. She went through so much pain and struggle and held the weight of the world on her shoulders, and in the end she still didn't get even a small fraction of happiness like being with Kaidan, for example, who was miraculously transported to the Normandy even though she had him at her side in the end. They couldn't make it more clear that you cared about all of those friends for nothing, even though they made a big deal in the end rock em sock em speech about the bonds of friendship.

ther are two seemingly conflicting thuths here.  Perhaps her body is alnoe, but the spirit of every scentient being in the galaxy is with her.
The second truth is that, unless you are legion, you live and exist within a singular carbon based shell of meat and bone. all your thoughts and hopes, everything, are isolated from everyone else as we each live in our very own self determined world, with a point of view that is unique unto ourselves. It cannot be communicated through neural linkage or telepathy. We are, in the end, most certainly, always and unequivicably
alone.

A funny poll EA posted earlier and left create your own option for those that missed it :P

Obviously it was a good idea it was taken down as the options people made got a little out of hand.

This is meant to give people a laugh when they are a little down :)

Regular reminder (no one's partaking in this now, so go you!): let's make sure to keep the Bioware bashing to a minimum. Let's keep this civil and cool. Remember, the folks at Bioware are human beings like us, so let's treat them with civility.

Again, no one seems to be doing this now but I figured this should pop up every few pages as a reminder.

Because the global release date is this week afaik. That means until recently the game wasn't even released everywhere, and I suppose that BioWare want to give everyone the chance to finish the game before directly and officially addressing the issue. That is assuming there is going to be any reaction other than what we've already seen.

What's important is that we keep the threads alive and people aware until BioWare does make a statement. Don't let it be forgotten. Hold the line.

Okay, I get that. But a statement like the ones I suggested wouldn't spoil anything for anyone, and would do something to dampen the outrage. Right now, they're just letting this get worse and worse for them. It's a terrible PR move.

It's true. But if they acknowledged publicly that there is going to be DLC and that the ending is going to be changed, it's possible that many players would cancel their orders, return their copies, etc. until the actual ending was released. Many wouldn't go ahead and pay the price for a game the developer has admitted to being incomplete.

As for the bad press... Before I actually saw the ending I didn't believe it could be that bad to justify the reaction. Mostly because I was enjoying the game very much until the ending slapped me in the face and left me in a state of borderline depression for two days.

And this gives me hope at the same time. Because assuming there is nothing else to it, BioWare could just flat out say that this entire campaign is pointless and that the ending stands. But if there is still something incoming which we don't know about, they can't tell us before others have seen the current ending for themselves; it would pretty much discredit a yet unsold product.

People, keep on track! The occasional mention of LI is OK, but not whole discussions on it! Not here!

Really interesting insights to that aspect of the game, but we need to keep this focused :)
