Did you read about the theory that everything beyond getting knocked out by the reaper laser in the ending was just a dream/hallucination as the reapers were trying to indoctrinate Shepard? There's several things that points to this, and choosing the "destroy" ending where you get to see Shepard live is the "real" one where he breaks loose from their attempt of mind control and awakes next to the Citadel beam.

Since hearing about this, it feels more and more legitimate. The vagueness of twitter comments make me more convinced this is the case.

I just hope that a real ending is given to us for free with an explanation (although I would still pay)

That is true. First when they appeared, I thouht "oh my god.. they captured her and now something big will happen".

Well, you could set her free but that was it all..

I must say they could get much more out of all the things from Part 1 and part 2. They really could make a playtime 3 times or more as long as it is and still there would be much more possible - including a good ending...

ME is really good, but I must say from that what they have built up with part 1 and 2 they could have done much more then this.

Yeah.  I will beglad the story doesn't actually suck if the ID or similar theory is true; but if they stand by this whole fiasco as good business pratice, I will never preorder another EA title again, and seriously consider dropping all EA games completely.

Fans don't need to "prove" themselves worthy of being treated well by the companies they support with their money.  Companies need to earn customers' trust.  And BW / EA gonna have to work pretty hard to earn back my trust after this nonsense.  It starts with clear, spinless and BS-free communication.

Regardless of motivations or people interpretations of the reasoning behind the childsplay contributions (go go over zealous and scandalous press).

In a lot of situations companies often match amounts put forward for charities at the end of their drive.

It'd be a really great move to see Bioware or especially EA do that. That'd be some fantastic positive press right there in my opinion and even if there are no DLC endings planned it'd be a really great show of faith and positivity.

Also that amount of money to EA is a pittance and they'd get a tax break for it anyway

I think if they don't fix it, the whole Mass Effect franchise will suffer from it. And eventually, future additions to the series!

Agreed.  Casey Hudson said that he wanted to do more in the Mass Effect universe and with the endings given to us it's hard to see how that's even possible.

This would be interesting. But then there should be either a good and complex alternative (so you wake up and make a real end) or they should go this way from earlier and make a 4th part where shepard then wakes up from his "dream" or how you want to call it and then finally stops the reapers ^^
