well...
so I have just finished playing ME3 - did all side-missions etc. and I still got shown that i am only 50% ready?....strange and my "true military strength" remained under 4000 (about 3600) - the other indicator (readiness i think it is called...don't want to load a savegame to look that up now...still trying to get over the ending...feeling numb and all that...i can't even muster anger ATM, just frustration and resignation/hopelessnes) was just below 6000 - and yeah, it was an imported savegame of my last and "perfect" playthrough of ME1 and ME2 (did everything like i should...well in hindsight, I should have blown the collector base to hell, but with the info at that time, keeping it was IMHO the best option, as I "liked" TIM in ME2...well i respected his motives - like is wrong, but I thought him a necessary evil, not just for Sheppard, but for Humanity, as the Salarians have the STG, the Asari have their commando units and the Turians have the strongest military, so humanity needed something to counter that IMHO...so yeah, I threw him a bone with the base...who knew he would turn crazy (bad writing as it is IMHO)...but yeah, i got everything else right and in ME3 even got geth and quarians to do the peace thing, so i should have been 100% ready IMHO and had over 4000 assets....)...i had plenty of credits/resources (i admit, i cheated those, as scanning goes on my wits, same for not having money in a singleplayer game...in an MMO i can understand that, as you should have to "work" for getting your stuff....strange....but ok....
so that poses the question: can you get the whole galaxy to be at 100% (or will that be stuck at 50% even with that?) without any multiplayer? (i do not like multiplayer!)
what bothers me though, is that i thought i would feel something when reaching the end - but the thing is, i don't...i felt something when anderson died, but i did not feel anything when i had to chose the end - you can only choose several different kinds of "bad"...some are worse then others of course:
IMHO destroy is utter bull - because you lose the relays (stranding the sword and shield fleets (and therefore 90% or so of the galaxy's military forces - thus leaving every species virtually defenseless and potentially killing thousands of people (a ravaged earth can't sustain that many IMHO - and even if it could, then at least quarians and turians are doomed because we sure as hell did not store a lot of food for them!)
control is too much of a gamble (you can not assure that the reapers wont free themselves in the future and restart killing everybody - and with sheppard as their main-computer, they would be more driven then before and a lot more intelligent, too) even more so, as you loose your only real advantage you had in ME3 against the reapers, a working mass-relay-network - without those, they could just pick you off like they did the protheans and all the others before them!
and lastly (which i chose, even if I don't like it much either):
merge...that is like indoctrination (who knows what the nanites (those particles making anyone part machine) do to you and if you are yourself afterwards...)
so, i support having other endings even more strongly because that kills it for me...
greetings LAX
ps: one thing though: the green glowing eyes and nanite-tatoos in the merge ending look kind a cool...

(on EDI especially...what i find strange is that Joker is not "fixed" by the nanites...)
