Food for thought. If there is really a DLC with the real end coming, I don´t think the joke is on us. I think the joke will be on all those people saying that the end was just fine, perfectly fine with the series etc.

And that right there is why I would have the biggest grin on my face!

Considering the number of people who have been trying to pass this off as art or "we're smarter than you", that really would have almost made all of this as worth it.

I know I would die a happy woman...

Just passed the game. My god the ending sucked. It took everything I liked about Mass Effect, threw it all way and gives me 3 mediocre choices at best. 16 endings? More like 1 ending with very slight differences.
Sorry Bioware but it just flat out sucked.

I actually kinda liked Mordin's death. I thought he went out as a true hero. Thane too, he didn't have long left and he chose to go out with a bang. Wasn't that big a fan of Miranda's, though. I thought she had a whole lot more to contribute to the war effort.

Thane hit me hard, for so many reason. Mordin was more of a NO, NO NO NO moment. :crying:

I will admit I bawled uncontrollably when Mordin broke out in song.

Thane...did not die.  I still refuse to admit it.

Holy buckets... 38k? I only contributed $10 (what I would have spent on DLC), but damn that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Hold the line!

Mordin's and Thane's deaths were quite heroic.  Idk how Miranda went though because I warned her about Kai Leng and talked her dad down.  Was really pleased with her character development but rather annoyed at the overall lack of ME2 characters in the game.

All I have to say is... Cynical Brit FTW.

Pretty decent take on "entitlement" that people *coughColinMoriartycough* are tossing around. Kinda goes to show how deeply in the pockets of EA and other large corporations these people are.

As some already wrote, as well as I am, even if they give us something this is highly problematic if they release the actual end of the game after the inital release via DLC. That's just strange

That was mordin's, right?? Talking about Kirrahe's speech?

Damn it. I laughed for a moment, until I remembered how mordin died and the galaxy followed behind...

Shame on you Bioware...

still makes me tear up thinking of my favorite crazy scientist. At least we know "He gets the job done"

i dont know how anyone could of pulled a renegade death for him!!! i went to find it on youtube and got 2 seconds and in and said nope cant watch!!!

The lack of communication towards us on the forums is truely unprofessional and unacceptable from a big company such as Bioware.

It's verry likely that alot of bioware employes are suffering from this aswell. Thats why it's important for us to be civil and honest. Let's hope there is a second line at bioware HQ.

Great point, someone must have been disapopinted with the ending.  Such a "polarizing" <_< ending must have had the same effect on some of the devs.

Hi all - just got home from work. Probably already posted, but just saw this:

Forbes - Why Fans Are So Angry About the Mass Effect 3 Ending

I had to pretty much run screaming, hair on fire, from the Kotaku comments area this morning. Man, sharks in the water over there.

I'll try to check the last few pages & get caught up. Not so easy to do on this thread!

Its getting acknowledged at least.  If only they would comment  :?

That's hooey.  They're trawling (origin of "trolling," by the way) for more positive answers - they know the sentiment here, so they're saying, ok, let's ask on Twitter and if we get an overwhelmingly positive response, it'll prove this was a smart move!

Oh well.  As that fails to materialize, and as new release territories continue to have the same reaction we did, maybe it will finally sink in and they'll get their craniums outta the beachfront.

How does the PC version of the game look in terms of modding possibilities? If bioware decides that it's already sold enough games and doesn't care what we think of them, maybe some clever people can do something better.

Can someone explain this "leak resulted in cut content" theory?

The script for the game ending was leaked in november. Supposedly Bioware decided to rewrite it to keep it a surprise. But EA didn't give them the time since the game was already pushed back. So everyone's hoping this is a "placeholder" ending and they're still working on the "The Truth".

If this is the case, SOME WARNING about selling us an unfinished game would have been the right thing to do.  They really need to step up and acknowlege that.  Nice precedent - we're offended we screwed up and let our content get leaked (whose responsibility is security?), so we're going to cut out the end of the game without telling you, jerk you around for a few months with coy tweets, then maybe release it later.  Or not.  We're not telling you.  Thanks for the cash!

No.

Still sounds like wishful thinking. Why would EA sign off on a rewrite? Why would Bioware not do a better job of creating an obvious cliffhanger? Why would EA sign off on this ending, they should've/would've known there'd be opposition to this ending.

Another tidbit for thought. If I double posted sorry.

Here's what Amazon is selling ME3 for.  Besides the cost, note the reviews.

both were brilliant executed, especially the fight with leng, afterwards i had to pause the game and jump around just to loose all the assambled energy, a brilliant game... till the last 10 minutes or so...

Exactly. I think they tried too hard to have a different, unexpected ending and blew it. I don't think they're evil. I think they delivered a fantastic game that had one overwhelming, crippling, franchise-ending, mistake built in. I just hope they fix it and will hold the line until they do.

I was just thinking, if there is a DLC coming out, The Truth, how much detail will go into it? I'm just saying I always buy the strategy (cheat) guides. The way it's presented in that book is that this is it. I'm not saying I want another guide or anything, I just never thought about what the ending would entail. Do we talk more, shoot more, is there another epilogue type chapter? Would make me irritated that (the ending of the game) would not be in it.

EDIT:  What I mean is it's not like normal DLC if it's true.

she did, she lived in my playthrough, and you get her as an asset where it says she leads a group of people taking down cerberus targets and stuff
