Yeah, why Vin Diesel?
Gotta tweet Chuck Norris.

Vin Diesel is actually a huge geek. Video Games, RPGs, he plays em all.

How 'bout Will Wheaton?

you mean the guy about whom they originally created the usenet newsthread " wesley_crusher.die.die.die" ???

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just right click in origin on game and than "repair"

The 13.8GB appear for short time, than it,s 10GB

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt that will change the endingImage IPB

Its still fairly intriguing. Maybe all Bioware REALLY needs to do is a release a patch that contains a specific code that activites the rest of the campaign/DLC/Whatever?

I gotta admit, this is what indoctrination must feel like. Not wanting to think about any of this, but having it crawl and whisper in your brain with everything you do and see.

Agreed!

Chuck Norris would make the god child materialize and then make it roundhouse kick itself.

Why?

So, tell me, guys... aren't the Bioware folks usually around in the forums? Do they usually comment here following a major release? Because, boy, they sure aren't here right now...

Yeah, non-disclosure agreements which can cause you to ruin your career have that effect... more evidence they might have something up their sleeves ;P

Considering how much fire the BW guys/girls came under when DA2 hit the shelves (and twenty minutes later the cesspit), I can imagine them taking some small precautions...You know small things like keeping quiet, changing their name and moving to a country Mass Effect 3 wasn't released in....

Well, as I mentioned earlier, and this is completely unqualified and out of left field, the mind flips stuff you see

http://cogsci.stacke...ed-by-your-eyes

Could be related to the fact your mind is flipping it because you're not actually seeing it through your eyes.

Didn't see this yet, but hard to keep up when you fall a few pages behind lol. Rock paper Shotgun's take on the ending:

http://www.rockpaper...end-of-an-epic/

From a commenter: "There are rumors of serious divisions within the BioWare writer’s room, centered around the fact that the endgame was written by Mac Walters alone, without much input from those who handled the (superb!) rest of
the narrative."

A rumor, but it makes perfect sense. Walters gave us the non-decision at the end of the Arrival DLC, so it appears to be a favorite device of his to resolve RPG stories by removing decisions and "assuming control of this form."

I've had to wait two days to post this and now i don't quite know what to say.

The saddest part about the end-game, for me, is that Shepard has to die, or commit genocide. My Shepard earned an ending where she, Liara and the rest of the crew get to fly off in the Normandy and live happily ever after. Instead she is robbed of any victory and is forced to leave everything behind, no matter the decisions you made.

There was such foreboding of Shepards impending doom that i collected all of the military resources i could in order to improve her chances.

And in the end when confronted with the final choices and the plot-holes and contradictions they contained, it took me nearly two hours to decide on Shepards' fate. Ultimately settling on 'Synergy' because it seemed to be the best ending overall. Though quite why Shepard has to jump into that beam for it to happen is beyond me.

I've not been able to replay the game since, knowing how it ends and for the first day after completion i was genuinely depressed.

This is just a small part of what i dislike about the games endings, but there's no need for me to reiterate what others have already said, much better than i could say it.

Also: The 'Stargazer' ending where it's implied that the whole thing was a father telling his son a story cheapens the whole experience.

Saying it in your own way still counts and helps, I had a much larger text wall about 750 pages back, I agree with your points, I sympathise with your pain, and I welcome you aboard!

Yeah, why Vin Diesel?
Gotta tweet Chuck Norris.

No, if we tweet Chuck Norris, he'll just kill all the Reapers himself, and remove any possibility of a new ending altogether.

Or he may close this thread with his mind.

Well you know the original idea for Mass Effect was actually called "Norris Effect" but no one wanted to play a game 30 seconds long.

"Hi I'm Saren"

*roundhouse kick*

Reapers Defeated!  Commander Shepard is now a hero, buy the DLC!

I already got it played out in my head. All the opening cutscenes, then it cuts to Nilus on Eden Prime when he first meets Saren.

Nilus- Saren? What are you doing here?

Saren- The councel sent me. They thought you could use some help with this one.

Nilus- Naw. I've got Norris with me.

Saren- What?

"Foot flies in from off screen and fades to black, credits roll."

"Picture comes up in the background of the Consort in a dancers outfit handing Norris a bottle of Whiskey and a Coke. In small letters at the bottum of the screen it says 'Buy my book or you're next'"

Wow. If true...

Yeah. I'd like to compare whoever wrote Mordin's death (honestly, probably the best-written scene in the entire series) to whoever wrote the ending. I bet they're in no way the same people. They can't be.

That really does make sense! If there were other writers that were unhappy with the endings i really hope they are able to do something about this now they have the consumers on their side too...
