Hehe, I'm starting to get over the ending actually, but the theories and conspiracies surrounding it are too fascinating.

how would you do a regular SP DLC? Shep is probably "dead", there is no normandy, uncertain fate of the other squadmates, and whatnot.
You'd need to add it as some side mission to gain more war assets. And this, this would be utterly BS

And that's exactly what it's going to be. :(

Exactly, I'm expecting the singleplayer DLC will be some kind of "Take back Omega with Aria!" crap. What's the point? once the mass relay is gone I doubt anyone still living there will be able to stave off starvation soon, not like they have a farm in there that I could see.

But duncha know? Omega is actually another super weapon that gives a new ending!!! The color purple!

I just had an awful thought. This is going to get worse with Jar-Jar Binks squadmate DLC.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

*Coughs*

Thanks, that was just about the only way ME3 could have been made worse. I may never sleep again.

I personally liked the ending.
I liked the fact it frustrated me and was out of my control.
I liked the fact it made me emotionally sad.
I liked the fact that there was a force beyond comprehension controlling the cycles.
I felt proud for my shep to end the galactic murder that happens every 50,000 years even if it means his/her death.

Maybe its because my favorite author is H.P. lovecraft.... hmm. The Anatomy wrote...

Appreciate your opinion, would you still have it if you had known at the time (from the Arrival DLC of ME2) that the mass relays exploding destroy a solar system?  (they kinda made a big deal of it in the DLC haha).... so really we wiped out the galaxy to save it?

... I feel like the citadel kid :(

I just finished the game last night .   I really don't participate in online forums at all but wanted to say Im glad to see I'm not alone in my shock on how, what is up until the last 10 mintues, a fantastic series ended.

The game now has exactly zero replay value to me.  All those decisions in the first two games, and my almost completed Evil Shep in ME2 I was planning to finish and import to ME3 once my first play through was done....  well there doesn't seem to be much point to it now.

The game itself is fantastic right up until the end.  I can't remeber the last game that got my heart pounding as much as this one.  On Earth you're running across open ground into a reaper's beam weapon.  Everyone and everything around you is getting vaporized.  You're getting closer and closer to the Citadel beam and the culimnation of all the good you did, or havoc you caused over three games.  Then you get there and are left screaming, "Who are you and what did you do with my Shepard"

It was a great series of games and fun to play through, but finding everything that I did up until the end only lets me pick what color the galaxy goes boom in really takes the whole experiance of the trilogy down few notches for me.

I tried to stay away for the night, I really did.  Welcome to the fleet!

Still here...although wondering quite how I ended up trying to hold the entire eastern flank with a frigate and two fighters.

Oh, and we're still out of tea over here. Smithers has started watching Jersey Shore....

SSV Cleveland sent a emergency coffee shipment to the UK fleet this afternoon to be substituted for the tea. Was it intercepted, have our supply lines been compromised what is going on. We need a sit rep ASAP.
PS get him away from the TV jersey shore is an indoctrination channel used by the reapers to kill our brain cells.

Some twittering with the devs - are we trolled or they are up to something that will blow us all away?

User 1: "I still want to believe you guys are sneaky trolls and have something going on you don't tell us yet. Can I get a cryptic reply?"
@masseffect: "The sun, it shines. www.youtube.com/watch"

User 2: "You are either a massive sadist or a beacon of hope."
@masseffect: "Can't it be both?"

User 3: "I kinda feel lost after that ending...not what I expected and left me feeling everything done was for nothing."
@masseffect: "We know it's a lot to take in! But hang in there. Your decisions matter."

User 4: "Are you holding something back, that could quell the large amount of frustration from the community, a tiny hint would be enough."
@masseffect: "Mike Gamble already said on his twitter, if the fans knew what was in store, the reaction would be different."

User 5: "I loved 98% of ME3..but something has to be up w/ ending..too much talent at BW for that business. Keep my saves?"
@masseffect: "We're keeping our saves, that's for sure."

User 6: "Fans are people too. Playing with their minds isn't that nice as it may look like to people from Bioware."
@masseffect: "We're not playing with anyone's minds, we are answering what questions we can and recording what feedback we receive."

User 7: "Its not that the ending was taken in the wrong direction its that it makes NO SENSE. Ashley was on the Normandy? she [was] with me."
@masseffect: "Probably a good thing to be cautious of."

User 8: "Do y'all have any ETA when more news will be released? Dying for news on a new ending/DLC."
@masseffect: "No ETA yet, but you will be updated via Facebook and Twitter when the news is available :)."

And some more:

User 1 -Well, i think i'll stop naggin you and trying to get you to talk about the indoctrination theory. :( Good game though!
Merizan - I want people to make up their own minds right now, then when more people have played we'll talk :)

User 2 - then I want to SEE that he was lying. I want to get up and finish the fight with Commander Shepard. Then retire.
Merizan - augh. want. to. discuss! Staying spoiler free for now :P

User 3 - But should've confronted the kid instead. Shep went meekly into the night.
Merizan - are you sure he went meekly into the night?

I chose the synthesis ending. At first I thought it was beautiful and creepy at once. Then it made me sad. Not in a good way, either. I'm actually in tears over the whole thing. The game started by breaking my heart (the little boy), and ended in the same fashion. I don't think I'll ever be able to bring myself to play it again. I don't want a perfect ending. It's just that I've invested so much emotion into this universe and its characters. Seeing absolutely everything going to hell for Shepard and every character on the Normandy. And on top of that, having galactic civilization destroyed. What does it matter that Shepard helped the quarians get their homeworld back when they'll never be able to go there anyway? Unless they were all magically teleported there when the relay exploded (like the Normandy), the largest part of their fleet is stuck in the Sol system. Along with every member of every galactic fleet in the universe.

I'm sorry. This was too much. I loved the focus on emotion in this game. It's one of it's greatest strengths. But this was way too much for me. Who cares that the Reapers are gone when the galaxy that Shepard fought for, and that I cared about, is still destroyed?

It's not quite as bad as it seems. Yes, the relays are destroyed and the fleets stuck in the Sol system, but they still have FTL travel. Also, the Citadel is now orbiting around Earth, so there are plenty of resources there, for the time being. With FTL travel still intact, the fleets should still be able to travel back to their own systems. It will take a long time, and it will be a real pain, but they'll be able to make it. After all, most of the homeworlds of the species aren't all that far from Earth. Palaven, Tuchanka, Thessia, etc. Rannoch is a different story, but I think the Quarians will be able to make it back. It will take a long time, but they should be able to do it. Once they make it back, they can work on improving FTL travel to be faster and more efficient. Eventually, things will be back to normal. Things may ultimately be better, seeing as we no longer have to rely on Reaper tech to travel through the Galaxy.

Just my take on things, anyway.

Flatmate completing the final mission
He's got about 40 mins to go.

If he complains to you about it kick him in the balls and call him an "entitled brat." Then say, "BW appreciates your feedback."

I know I've been contemplating the same. A better solution would be, let us borrow Stephen Reid to handle this mess, instead of the head-in-sand currently driving the @masseffect twitter.

Huh.

Seems they want to know if there was anything good about the ending at all. Bit of a different thing than they've been asking up until now.

Hey, can anyone with a twitter respond to that for me (swore I'd never get a twitter) and tell them I liked Anderson's death sequence, but I liked the cut version even more?

Just did. Was thinking the same myself. WHY did they cut such an emotional scene from the game? :(

Me too. I want to see Shepard's babies! "My mom it's commander Shepard!!" <3

Krogans or blue babies? :P I wanna adopt one of Wrex's kids! Maybe they'd let me babysit little Mordin.

EDIT. Oops, totally forgot Kaidan. Regular human babies are nice too.

I'm all for human babies... THIS TIME. But if you romance Garrus he's gonna speak about adoptin one little krogan :D even if I see Wrex more like a jealous father :<
But I'm totally gonna be Mordin's godmother. Eve should support me <3
