Thanks, that cleared it up a bit for me.
Still these are 16 endings, the @ME  said there were 17

So, no happy ending for us? I'm startin to lose hope guys... why cant Shepard settle down and die by old age?! WHY?! I think (s)he earned this!
:crying::crying::crying::crying:
Discouraged, but still... I hold the line guys.

Words shouldn't matter. People have died. If losing our friends isn't enough, if that doesn't make you want payback, what are you doing here?

We don't know how many people have hit the endings -- thousands, hundreds of thousands. It's not important. What matters is this: Not one more. That's what we can do, here, today. It ends with us. Bioware wants to know what we think of the endings? I saw we show them, on our terms.

Let's bring our people home.

Oh, and we're still out of tea over here. Smithers has started watching Jersey Shore....

SSV Cleveland sent a emergency coffee shipment to the UK fleet this afternoon to be substituted for the tea. Was it intercepted, have our supply lines been compromised what is going on. We need a sit rep ASAP.

GREAT NOW WE JUST NEED THE CRUMPITS! :innocent:

SSV Newcastle shall bring the crumpits...oh and tea has been delayed for some reason... COME ON PEOPLE WE NEED TEA TO SURVIVE OUT HERE! SEND A SCOUT SHIP OR SOMETHING!

SSV Gateshead reporting for tea resupply.

About time too, now we start our daily process of convensional drinking of tea with "emergency induction ports" contributed by the great tali zorah. BEGIN TRADE OF TEA AND CRUMPITS

UK FLEET HURAH!

Ah everythings better over a cuppa. Maybe thats what Shepherd needs. A crumpets and tea DLC pack to boost her moral enough to beat the Reapers!

Not to put a downer on SJK and his interpretation but didn't the Citadel/Crucible explode in the cutscene? not the arms but the presidium, the control room and docking ring. Also if you go by the walk up to the control rom its full of dead bodies and probably like what the prothean scientists found when they used the mini relay to change the signal.

I chose the synthesis ending. At first I thought it was beautiful and creepy at once. Then it made me sad. Not in a good way, either. I'm actually in tears over the whole thing. The game started by breaking my heart (the little boy), and ended in the same fashion. I don't think I'll ever be able to bring myself to play it again. I don't want a perfect ending. It's just that I've invested so much emotion into this universe and its characters. Seeing absolutely everything going to hell for Shepard and every character on the Normandy. And on top of that, having galactic civilization destroyed. What does it matter that Shepard helped the quarians get their homeworld back when they'll never be able to go there anyway? Unless they were all magically teleported there when the relay exploded (like the Normandy), the largest part of their fleet is stuck in the Sol system. Along with every member of every galactic fleet in the universe.

I'm sorry. This was too much. I loved the focus on emotion in this game. It's one of it's greatest strengths. But this was way too much for me. Who cares that the Reapers are gone when the galaxy that Shepard fought for, and that I cared about, is still destroyed?

It's not quite as bad as it seems. Yes, the relays are destroyed and the fleets stuck in the Sol system, but they still have FTL travel. Also, the Citadel is now orbiting around Earth, so there are plenty of resources there, for the time being. With FTL travel still intact, the fleets should still be able to travel back to their own systems. It will take a long time, and it will be a real pain, but they'll be able to make it. After all, most of the homeworlds of the species aren't all that far from Earth. Palaven, Tuchanka, Thessia, etc. Rannoch is a different story, but I think the Quarians will be able to make it back. It will take a long time, but they should be able to do it. Once they make it back, they can work on improving FTL travel to be faster and more efficient. Eventually, things will be back to normal. Things may ultimately be better, seeing as we no longer have to rely on Reaper tech to travel through the Galaxy.

Just my take on things, anyway.

I don't know about the other options, but synthesis definately explodafies the citadel.

PS get him away from the TV jersey shore is an indoctrination channel used by the reapers to kill our brain cells.

Oh...that was coffee? We thought it was the stuff used to clean the drive couplings.

Come to think of it I was starting to wonder why the engineering crew (all three of them, this being a Normandy class II Frigate) wasn't letting anyone down there.

Unfortunatly our communications systems were downgraded during the recent 'improvements' to the Navy. So its either Football, Jersey Shore or Britains Got Talent. At this point we'd rather have a Husk on our hands than Smithers headbutting the drive core again.

I choose to deal with the husks in the cargo hold.... anyone interested?
I choose that over britains got talent any day and risk the conversion of husk.... Cant believe i just said that -_-

Is it just me or did ME3 end like the Matrix Trilogy?

no matrix ending had some kind of overly philosophical BS ending

The conversation between the Oracle and the daughter of the software couple is similar to the conversation between the grandpa and the shrunkenadultkid; both on our hero having achieved messiah status. The godchild is also similar to the 'architect', and you have the notion that cycles of destruction keep returning, or somesuch.

There's nothing overly, or even slightly philosophical about the Matrix, by the way, it's banal tripe and newage BS all the way through, especially after the first episode. The first episode kind of illustrates a 'problem' that freshmen philosophy students like, viz., the 'brain in a vat' problem (what if I'm really a brain in a vat, and my experiences simply tinglings of my nerve centers)----they later learn, however, that this really is no genuine 'problem', but a senseless question. People have compared the machines of the Matrix to Descartes's 'evil demon'; but----for reasons I won't go into here----that's also a misreading of Descartes.

The Kung-Fu scenes are good though.

Anybody else getting the feeling that since the Mass Effect Twitter feed is now asking people for feedback about the ending in particular there might be some sort of internal debate at BioWare going on?

Scottish fleet deforests planets and then tosses the trees at the reapers... quite effective on husks, and even some larger enemies.

This is one of my problems, why exactly are the mass relays bad because the reapers made them? They don't have an indoctrination side effect, they only had a beneficial effect of easy galactic travel. Sure the reapers used them to channel galactic development, but if the reapers were dead anyways I fail to see how using them would be in any way bad.

the citadel definitely blows up in every ending but control (showering earth with a f**kton of metal likely killing everyone anyways) and besides that ftl travel takes decades just to get to the nearest cluster and the Quarians live on literally the opposite side of the galaxy

Maybe it did. I'll have to take a closer look when I finish my second playthrough. But I still believe that the different races will be able to return to their homeworlds.

But let's not get into a big arguement over this. It won't get us anywhere.
