as steve jobs would have said: "You're ending it wrong."

That's what they're telling us: 'You're interpreting it wrong.', 'You are feeling about it wrong.', and whatnot.

We shouldn't have to asume things in the end.

The problem was not us having to assume things in the endings. The problem is that we assumed in the beginning Bioware could deliver a good game...

Sad, I am feeling so sad.....

But stilll holding

Well it is a problem that we have to assume the entire ending, What happens to all the other species? All our friends that aren't on the Normandy? Is the galaxy still united after this? And alot of other things.

Has a link to one of the ending issues FAQs been linked to the ME twitter yet?

I tweeted the gamefront article at them.  Have yet to get a response.

I tweeted the article at them as well, no response

Hopefully it means that they're taking the time to actually read it.

We've been tweeting it at them for over a day I believe, unless they're planning on memorizing it word for word I'm pretty sure they've already read it.

If not then I doubt any amount of tweeting will get them to read past the title.

I figured.  It's just frustating to have tweeted so much and not have gotten any response from them.  They're either backlogged or being insanely selective in who they respond to.  I guess it's too much to ask that they acknowledge how I and many other people feel.

I wonder what the QA department at Bioware thought about the ending.

They will all be signed to NDAs but I'd love to have heard or read some of the feedback they gave on this.

Again this is if there's no further content made/planned.

I see your point. However I'm in the Armed Forces, I have friends with genuine PTSD, I'm sure they won't mind as they think the ending was toilet too.

Sorry if this has been posted before but the forums are very active lately. Has anyone seen our endings side by side yet?

It has, multiple times.

However once, again, this is something that needs to be reposted.

I mean, who can watch this with a straight face and tell us that we got more than 1 ending?

Whoops sorry Image IPB

Like I said, this needs to be reposted. Heck, I posted this video no less than 3 times. It's one of the must sees of the movement.

Oh thats ok then Image IPB

I think my favourite part was the stupidity of the endings after the credits. "Shepard has become a hero and legend by ending the invasion of the reapers. Continue his legend with future single and multiplayer campaign DLC" (I know that it's not verbatim, but close enough)

How? He's dead or hideously maimed if you were lucky, and the crew are stranded god knows where. What DLC can you possibly provide to change this or extend his legacy without changing the ending? Or is he going to manifest miraculously somewhere?

So if they are now asking what was wrong with the ending to the game on their twitter feed, can someone please tweet them a link to page one of this thread? They might have missed it...it's not like the thread is 1200 pages long or anything...it's not like it is on their own board or anything! ;p

Hold the line

I sent them the links to the Ross Lincoln article and the Jeremy J---? (sorry) review on YT.

Good:D I really hope they watch Jeremy Jahns review since he hammered that nail with such force and truth.

My friend, I know you mean no harm, and I know they were joking about it. But still...

It has been 6 days (and spare) since I finished the game. Even after all this time I haven't been able to even open the ME3 game windows again, I haven't been able to play any other game, and I really have been feeling depressed and gloomy. My friends have noticed (though none been a gamer couldn't know why), my coworks noticed as well, and there is just nothing I can do about it. Damn.. I even had nightmares, where I was the one running from the reaper near the light beam...

I know it's nowhere near real PTSD, but nevertheless, the psychological shock I suffered was way beyong anything I had expected, or een thought possible... I know it will go way, sooner or later (hope for sooner though), but to just let go of 1000+ hours played in the Mass Effect Universe, from reading all the comics, the news, and the excitment related to this last game, the antecipation, to be rewarded by a big middle finger and a FU, it just too much to handle at some moments.

Still, I am holding the line and waiting for Bioware to come clean with us...

Ps. I feel like I gave up on a free trip to Paris so I could stay home and surprise my girlfriend, only to be surprised by her sleeping around with my best friend....

Or, as someone said early on this thread, I feel like my dog just died, ran over by EA, and kicked by Bioware...

So if we can keep this up, will they offer up the promise a "patch" like they did with deception?  At least I voted with my money and didn't buy that one.  Now I feel helpless.

As they realize just how badly they've miscaculated, they'll have to address us directly. They HAVE to realize that their silence is only hurting themselves, that they can still salvage a lot of this...either by telling us that:

A: We have an ending done, this was just a publicity stunt gone wrong, and it will be out in a week after more of the world has had a chance to play.

B: We're going to change the ending because it's obvious our customers, our community dislikes what we have done. We tried to be clever, and it obviously didn't work out how we planned.

They have to know that all of this is because we love the series so much. I started this in ME2 personally...I loved the game so much that immediately upon completion I bought the first one to play...literally 5 minutes from the moment I saw the ME2 ending. It is, hands down, -the- best series for combining choice with excellent storytelling, hauntingly beautiful and unforgettable music, and quite honestly some of the best characters I've ever seen, hands down.

Bioware break the silence, please tell us what's really going on.

I'd be happy at this point with just a post saying "We want you to know that we are listening, we appreciate your feedback, and we are preparing a response."

Sure, it's a boilerplate acknowledgement that doesn't provide much information, but it's a gesture of professional courtesy.

Yeah, I'm under treatment for clinical depression; so I find the everyday use of that word to be a little inconsiderate as well. Inconsiderate use of PTSD is actually worse, because of the connection to specific traumatic experiences.

My first pyramid-quote, by the way.

I can't stop listening to it. There's no rain to look at...but still I just can't get it out of my head.

Keeps me from the anger/depression cycle the ending caused, especially as I progress through "insanity" determined to get the achievement even if I walk away from the ending.

I really feel like there's a free DLC or "unlock" coming in the days\\weeks ahead. And if not, we'll deal with it, but I have to say that the fan creativity regarding the endings has really mitigated a lot of my distaste. The community is awesome. :D

Still, holding the line...

I felt completely hollow for the first...geez, 24 hours?  I'm still not over this, but I'm better now.

To give you an idea...I don't normally do a lot of posting on forums, and even less lurking.  I hate facebook, and twitter...I reactivated my long deactivated facebook, made a twitter account, and find myself here almost every waking minute.

You're not alone.  That's one of the great things about this thread; everyone is supportive and civil.

Kinda like the end of the ME3 finale boiler plate ;)

We know you are listening, we appreciate your feedback.  Please continue to enjoy the ending, and by the Goddess, buy our DLC.

Usual reminder: let's make sure to keep the Bioware bashing to a minimum (1200+ pages and everyone's been doing a great job so far!). Let's make sure to keep things civil and stay cool.

I know it's been posted a lot but I think we should keep reminding everyone every couple pages.

Many of these fan endings are really great, really makes you think what the hell went wrong.
