Nobody could understand people like us who havnt played mass effect... they dont know what its like to grow from strength to strength and game to game... developing relationships with characters and creating a life through this amazing game series... its like losing something important to you.... no one could unerstand why we feel this way. Its our story... our shepard and our individual destinys... it connects us all, fans of mass effect. 

Well said! I have mates who have never played a game like this and there would be no point trying to explain this to them. A game like this and its effects over a persons heart and imagination can't be explained unless they play it themselves. Thankfully we have this thread where we can all stand together.

Careful, we don't want to be accused of being elitists either

Yea, but they like complete and comprehensible endings to their games/series... many of them are tragic (Chrno Cross, Elfen Lied, etc.)... but they are saldom full of plotholes, and always very fleshed out.

after completing me3 a couple of days ago i thought ill go back and do my other sheps ever time i start i say to my self whats the point. after seeing that ending i just want to throw myself in a hot bath and just cry.....

Exactly.

Even if they like aspects of the ending, it doesn't mean they will like or accept the plot holes, the God Child, the lack of closure and the horrible Gilligan's Island/Normandy situation.

Soppy as this may sound, I got so attached to the series, because it placed me in exactly the same fantasy world to which I'd fall asleep at night as a little kid.

I even enjoyed the Mako exploration bits, because I find the landscapes of other planets to be fascinating in itself. (Just check out what's going on in the satellites of Jupiter; marvellous stuff.)

Well the logic is this: 8 Endings depending on your favorite colur and your readiness. Now double it because of whether you blew up the Collectors base in ME2 or not. Where they get their 17th ending from however is beyond me.

The 17th ending mentioned by masseffect twitter is probably the DLC ending.

They won't like ... you can trust me one that... people confuse there endings of vague because the don't understand some of the themes that are told in the stories... especially when the start  going heavy in the eastern philosophy... 

They are  going to look  this endings  and go.. "WTF"

As for the discussion about "The Truth" DLC...I want to believe in it. I really do...but I just can't. Not yet at least.

Because she didn't understand; it was her judgement of you with no prior knowledge.

It is only a game, but then again Gone with the Wind was only a film, LoTR was only a book, and she is only an ignorant coworker. The thing is, I bet she can't claim to have brought joy and pain to millions. Point that out to her next time and see if she has to say anything with any content.

Next time you catch her off guard from a book, a movie or music, send her the remark, may be she will understand.

Probably the "Game Over, the crucible has been destroyed" ending that happens if you wait too long.

That's not a different ending.  You just can't kill them if they are all ready dead.
