You're right, they DO have a very different outlook than us!
A far more militant one about silly senseless endings to series.

If the response is anything like the response was to the original end of NGE, then we'll be moving from polite petitions to mass death threats.

HAHAHA!!! That reminds me of the death threats the author of Neon Genesis Evangelion received...

I honestly hope it doesn't go that far.  Though I guess idiotic extremists are expected when a community hits a certain critical mass and is really passionate about a singular topic.  It just offends my Canadian sensibilities... that and I know people who work at Bioware and don't want to have to worry about their personal safety and that of their families :\\

Also, looking on the ME3 Twitter page, I see a lot of people complaining about the ending in pretty harsh terms (it sucked, was crap, garbage, s**t, etc...) and then, when they're asked what they didn't like, most of them haven't even responded. I don't know how much it's worth but BioWare is actually asking them to back up their statements and they're not responding to them. Seriously, BioWare is asking for feedback from these people and they can't be bothered to respond to them? Can't help but think this makes them, and by proxy us, look bad. Hopefully they get on top of it soon.

Well there isn't much of a way to deliver a well resoned response within 140 characters. If they really want our opinion they can see the multiple walls of text posted by person after person in this thread, or they could just look at the long articles we keep linking them in response.

There just isn't much you can say in 140 characters other than "The ending sucked, will you please change it?".

I think they are taking baby steps. If they wanted to really wade into the issues they could create a forum thread and ask fans directly what didn't you like. I guess they have the review page for that but all the same they're taking small steps. We have to be patient and let them process they're getting the message and that is what is important. Legion would want to free the rest of the Geth from Reaper control so that the war between them and the Quarians would end. Dependant on what you did with the Heretics, either the Geth come back under Quarian control (Whiped out Heritics) or he would help them all gain senceance (ReWrote Heritics).

Tali would want to breathe the air of her home world. And dependant on what the result of Legion's loyalty mission and if you brokered peace or destroyed them all, either the Geth help the Quarians aclimate to their homeworld again or command the newly reconquored Geth to start building sterilized prefabs for housing, or try to comfort Tali as she realizes the monumental task before her people to rebuild without the Geth.

Both of those actually happen to a greater or lesser extent depending on your choices.

Maybe you can't get through all of it, but you could at least post something; "None of your previous choices impacted the ending", "Ending FMVs were simply pallette-swaps of each other", "No option to stop the Mass Relays from exploding, thus killing everyone", "No closure/epilogue", etc. At very least, they could post a link to an article of choice, my favorite being the GameFront one.

Well I would ask someone to post my opinion about what went wrong (linked in Sig) under my Nick on Twitter due to my lack of an account there, but my Wall of text was probably even to long for a forum entry and would take quite a few twitter posts...

We could link to them I guess^^

Oh don't get me wrong I'm not condoning those posts at all. I'm just stating that there's no real way to give a coherent response to the question "Why was the ending bad?" in 140 characters. The people who are flaming them are acting childish, i'm just saying that due to the twitter limitations childishness is the only thing that fits in a post.

Hey, dudes - I know it's been mentioned a couple times tonight already, but if anybody hasn't responded to the Mass Effect twitter yet and would like to, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea. There really is a lot of just 'endings too similar, confusing', etc. without a lot of explanation as to what we want besides 'closure' which sounds pretty vague to me, I dunno.

If we want a good ending/happy ending/an ending with a chance to 'win' - or maybe that's just what I want, but I hope some of you do too - I think we should be upfront about it.

Just puttin' it out there.

As it was before, so it shall be again....

Once upon a time I made a commitment. I told myself to never again purchase a SOE/Sony product. The reason was simple, they managed to destroy the best MMO I´ve ever seen. It was beautiful with open worlds and complex, from the skill choice to the crafting system, but it was not "cool" and it didn't have a wider and larger playerbase. So SOE took a unilateral decision to make the game WOW like, and in the end, it died... The game was called Star Wars Galaxies..

It has been many years now, but I haven't bought any SOE game. I haven't even bought any Sony product. I know I am just one guy, one customer and alone, I can't do anything about it. Still, I keep to my word, because there is no other way.

As time goes by, the posts on this thread will dwindle, that's just the way it is. But if each and everyone of us decide to NEVER again buy a game from EA (publisher) and Bioware (developer) then, and only then, even if this movement fails, we will still be holding the line. We will still be heard, and they will feel the power of all our voices speaking in unison.

Right now I have no hopes for a "true" ending, and I find this entire DLC addition simply distasteful (free or not). I won't lie and say I will not get it (buy it) if it comes out, but that will be the last time EA/Bioware will ever see my money.

All I want is an explanation, not only about the lack of content and quality of the game Mass Effect 3, but especially about the lack of interest and accountability Bioware/EA has shown so far. They believe it is ok to ignore us, or to use the media industry to troll and flame us, as many articles and journalists have been doing since we began our campaing. That's not how a company is supposed to treat their customer base, and thank you Forbes for a great article on this regard ( many in total on our cause).

So, I will hold the line, even after I am gone from this thread (eventually I will have to go), and I will keep my word of not ever again buying a product from them, which is sad since I have been a Bioware fan since Baldur's Gate. But enough is enough.

We have drawn the line people, they are trying to cross, they are saying it's ok to con us and fool us. I say NO MORE.

Let's keep up the good work

and HOLD THE LINE....

Remember, remember the fifth of November,
The gunpowder treason and plot

I know of no reason
Why the gunpowder treason
Should ever be fought

Let's not forget the treason....

My sentiments also.  I salute you sir.

Did just the same thing..... Exactly same. It's almost 3 am and even though I've been really tired I sat like glewed to the screen for the last 4 through the Cerberus base and then London...

And then I was so dumbounded than I thought "my choices are WHAT?", "the kid said WHAT?" and then I didn't remember which choice was what. but since I didn't want to replay the stuff again, I chose what looked like the paragaon choice (since my first playthrough was on paragon).

What is scary is that I have no clue what it did by only looking at the ending. then I wathced all the endings on youtube, and realised - they all look fricky the same. And I'm REALLY surprised that it doesn't matter what I did and how, because all it goes down to these 3 endings. I'm just too confused and too tired. And earlier today I was telling someone about this fantastic game with all the fun choices you culd make, and tried to explain about the Reapers. Well, I feel stupid explaining the end. And if I feel stupid saying that to someone who hasn't played the game, then the ending really is.. wrong. I'm not saying we should have one where everyone lives happily ever after and have babies with their LI, I'm just saying... what I did through all those hours in the game should matter.

I have NO reason to replay ME3 with my other characters and playthroughs from ME1 and ME2. None whatsoever. None. Because... they don't matter. If anything, this is the true downer of the ending.

This captures so much how i feel. Finished the game 2 hours ago and I still don't understand the ending. How can 15 minutes screw up the (until then) best game I've ever played. I can't even say what my preferred ending is, but NOT this.
ME series has been all about choises, different choises that has different outcomes in the end, here there is only one choise wrapped up in three confusing packages.
I am sorry to say but this is the last time I will preorder a Bioware game. Dragon Age 2 and this just did it for me. You can't deliver a complete gaming experience for me anymore. Inspite of three more months of developing time for ME 3 the end feels like a work of haste with no concept on integration to the rest of the story, maybe William C Dietz wrote it, bears the same quality and plotholes as Deception did.

Where did all the epicness go did you just forgett that? My Shepard died a lonley looser, I will not forgive you for that.
