I hope it gives a smile or two if nothing else, you guys need a couple at this point. Please share if you thinik the rest of the folks will enjoy it.

And if not for the money, the fact that you claim "artistic license" is akin to someone forcing the director of a Christmas Pageant to put their no talent kid in the show because they own the building. You pulled the same type of thing with Dragon Age 2.

So biting, and so accurate!

True, but this is even worse. DA2 might have been a poor game, but at least it didn't destroy the replay value of Dragon Age Origins. On the other hand Mass Effect 3 made the previous 2 games virtually unplayable, since we know how miserable the ending will be...

I would be much happier had the game ended like castle crashers than the game ending with a magic space angel baby. I find it funny that this all knowing and endlessly intelligent being can predict how every 50,000 years will end but couldn't predict Shepherd stopping the reapers. I find it funny that trans warp beaming was invented as this awesome space battle was going on. I find it funny how your team just non-characteristically leaves you so they can run away to...plot hole. I find it funny that you are referred to as "The Shepherd" and then are told to buy more stuff. What I don't find funny, is how when my opinion isn't in favor of all of these things...I'm called a whinner, told that I'm an entitled nerd, or that when my opinion is proven to be the majority on Bioware's own site, they just throw it out of the window saying"..yeah..well...you don't represent the opinions we want to hear..so we'll just say you're opinion doesn't matter"

New thoughts:

... PR stunt.
... Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was the Prothean beacon on Eden Prime.
... You have been experiencing the war through the Prothean's eyes (ala ST:TNG "Innerlight").
... With this knowledge you can end the war, and the Prothean black box will show you the way.
... Players will get this post ME3 global launch either as free DLC or a series of paid DLC.
... We will get an updated ME1,
... which we can then play through to ME2, ME3, and finally the TRUE ending.

Hey, if I'm gonna dream ... I'm gonna dream big 8)

I find the use of the word "entitlement" funny. Shouldn't a paying customer feel entitled?  Lets say you by a car. When you get it, it doesn't have headlights or mirrors. Is it "entitlement" to ask or complain that it doesn't have these things?

Ya. Bioware doesn't want us to think of ourselves as consumers because then one can infer that there is entitlement, and we will have a say on what happens, because our opinions effect the viability of the market.

That's an industry-wide issue. Hence the pervasive use of the term "fan" to refer to those who are actually users of software, consumers of a product, and customers of a company. It's not accidental.

Realistically I believe are chances are low, and even if they do they'll probably take a month or two to make it. There's nothing wrong with rebuying a used copy if it does come out, though you may end up paying more in the end to do so.

I think it's too early to give up. I in no way shape or form believe us to be the vocal MINORITY, and it would be bad business for bioware to offer us nothing.

But the way they're treating us I don't think they will

Then maybe we start refering to ourselves as consumers / customers . This way they can't hit us with buzz word like enitiled.

I understand how some of (them / us) feel about Mordin, but: Mordin's was a good death. The situation was made urgent, his expertise was made vital. It's a cheap, easy way out to kill off a redshirt or a new, throwaway character that's never developed (Tosh or whatever his name was in The Mallorean... sigh, Eddings). I know it can't have been easy for the team to decide to kill Mordin, but in such dire circumstances, some loss is fitting. And Mordin's death was beautifully done. It had meaning, it fit well.

Contrasted, of course, with the pointless silly meaningless of this unquestioning Shepard who can choose to die and wreck everything, or die and wreck everything, or die and wreck everything.

No, I'm not happy with Mordin's death either on the "I like the guy" level, but I have no problem with it. A perfect exit. And it's *Mordin's* choice. Shepard's endings were neither Shepard's choice, nor mine.

Oh, I know. I'm just translating what the Japanese gamers are talking in the 2chan thread about ME3 ending and spoilers.
They are not happy with it. At all.

Are you able to post there?  That would be awsome to combine forces with them.  Another Nation to rise up and HOLD THE LINE.

I don't have a problem with characters being killed off, either. It added a lot of emotional weight to the game. To the point where, when I ran into Kai Leng for the second time, on Thessia... I developed a seething hatred for the man. Killing him was a pleasure.

True that.  Giving them the right send-off...  Carries the weight that pushed us forward.
Or how about when you fight the Reaper on Rannoch?  I was yelling "GET SOME" most of the time.
It's these moments we're fighting for...  That and sense to be made.  Both.  Yes.

....But I think calling Leng a man is giving too much credit.  The geth were more human than he ever was.

Aaaand Japanese gamers already know about us.

Because, well, we're on Japanese media too! Yay?

EDIT: they even talk about the Child's Play donation. They sure are informed. I knew they knew what was going on...even though the game came out today.

So, just a thought in my head at the moment about the Synthesize ending. How does an AI/child/whatever grant an entire Galaxy the pinnacle of evolution and life by having a human absorbed into the Crucible and fired around the galaxy? That child has to be God right? I mean... there is no way that our current races were capable of creating a device that can completely restructure EVERYTHING IN THE GALAXIES DNA..

Just had to get that off my chest.. carry on. Hold the LINE.

That and twitter.com/#!/JessicaMerizan/status/180128868273897472 kind of irk me just a bit. When I play a game I would like to have the end/conclusion presented to me. I don't want to have to analyze or have to break out the critical thinking skills. I just want to chill and enjoy the story... :(

Critical thinking is why many of us have arrived at this conclusion. We have dismissed such elitist claims--college has nothing to do with a peron's ability to critical think, nor does it effect the credibility of their arguments--and implications =). Furthermore, claiming critical thinking as necessary to appreciation of the game creates an ad hominem "if" "or" equation, and is highly fallacious. If you like the game's ending, you are a critical thinker like her. If you don't, you don't know how to critically think.

Hold the line comrade!

BW gets all the respect in the world for ME 1&2 - and at no time have I ever said one bad word about these two games. And I brought ME 3 DIRECTLY because of the known character interactions, the L1 interests, the majesty, and the incredible triumph of it all.

ME3 delivered none of the above - moments maybe with the Quarians/Geth/Thane/Mordin - otherwise interactions were few and far in between. The possible or familiar L1s were cold and distant with nothing in common what so ever with ME1&2. The idiot kid dream scenes were pointless and tasteless - no doubt deluded artistic license someone once saw in an obscure move that never amounted to anything. The automatic dialog was a terrible rip-off, sloppy and lazy at best.

And of course - the crayon ending/s - were something we all left behind in kindergarten and coloring between the line. ME 3 reeked of a forced rush job - cut corners - and sloppy writing, if one could even call it that, to its bitter end. Pointless, tasteless, and idiotic. You can put all the lipstick on planet earth on that pig and its still a pig! And NO BW you don't get repect until YOU earn repect - and to this point in time I have been treated like a fool and an idiot for writing truth. The hard, cold facts are not one of them appear willing stand up adress the problems and take it like a man! That I can respect! Nothing less!

Let me start by saying ME has been my favorite franchise since the original game came out in 2007. I love BioWare games and have played nearly all of them for years. I'd definitely consider myself a fan. That said...

...the last 10 minutes to Mass Effect 3 is the single worst thing you've ever put in any game. This ham-handed deus ex machina plot device is the complete antithesis of everything else the characters and franchise has stood for in its run. It makes every decision made up to that moment absolutely pointless, not to mention it's full of completely obvious and inane plot holes. I mean, people have come up with some tin-foil hat style theories to try to make sense of how completely out of left field the ending is. Admittedly, some of those ideas could be very cool, but short of some sort of acknowledgement from you guys, it's just conjecture.

The game was so close to being a masterpiece. Truly. I really think you guys should own this mistake and fix it for the happiness of your consumers. The clatter and din is certainly warranted and gamers never have been a very forgiving bunch.
