Here Commander kongenial, reporting back for duty.

Drive core discharge was successful, ready to hold the line.

Any changes on the front yet?

kongenial out!

No changes to report as of recently, though there is an interesting rumor floating about, not sure if its worth looking at, since after all it seems like it might have come from 4chan... and people there have no respect for others and their feelings, at least from what I've seen, so the whole thing could be a troll.

I think it's best to assume it's a troll for the moment untill another source comes out, or Bioware actually says something on it.

That's what I'm thinking, but however much I want to think of it as a troll, I still can't help but feel a very small ray of hope....

Same here, as of now it's just a rumor. That goes both ways. It's a rumor meaning we can't look forward to it, or it's a rumor that Bioware hasn't denied yet.

One that they won't deny for at least a while yet, since their hands are practically tied at the moment with the final release in Japan being only a little while ago... Well under a day anyways....

Ah yes, "free DLC". The supposed true ending that retcons the current mess and provides the closure the series deserves. We have dismissed that claim.

Just don't go near the StarChild....he's been known to crush all hope. I wish we could have done this to him :D

While I'm normally an uptight Paragon, that would have to be one of the few times I would thourghly enjoy chosing the renegade option, one of the other few was the renegade interput in Thane's recruitment mission, shoving that merc out the window was really satisfying somehow...

[/quote]

Only Renegade options I picked in ME3 were shooting Udina and breaking Kai Leng's sword. ME2 there were a lot more :P I played an almost-pure Paragon that was still witty and didn't take **** from people.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, there is this:
http://social.biowar...ex/9960839&lf=8

Nothing anounced or anything, he is basically saying what most people already said:
Be respectful, and don't ask things like people need to get fired or being hacks.
By reading the credits, I already got it, that the devs made sacrifices in things if time with friends and most importantly family.

JohnEpler wrote...
At the same time, though, it's that same
disconnect that needs to be kept in mind when you're interacting with
developers. Because just as it can be hard for you to know what we know,
it can be difficult for us to look at what's being said with the
understanding that you really don't know what goes on at the
studio. When you're coming off months and months of little sleep and
regarding your family as 'those strangers who happen to share a house
with me', it can be frustrating to hop on a forum and see 'BioWare is
lazy/what a bunch of hacks!'. Since, in your mind, you -know- exactly
what you've done to get that game out. And it's hard to remember that,
well, the fans as a whole don't know the same things.

Still, the end LOOKS like it was made in a rush. The other 99% are fine as it is, not complaining or anything.
Thing is, the end is a very important part of a game, and (in this case) sadly, it's the thing people remember

Thank you, interesting read. Impressed with how calm they manage to stay, doubt my temper would suit handling a community like this.

True... it just doesn't add up. The rest of the game is fleshed out, and the ending is such a mess... why?

Good morning by the way!

Possibly due to the leaked script?

So... has somebody already linked them Jeremy Jahns "what I think of ME3" Video over twitter?

www.youtube.com/watch

Would be interesting to see their answer to that. It would probably be snarky and cryptic but whatever :D

Yea, but if that's the reason they (BW) can't be ok with it either, in reality... I find it hard to believe.

True, but imagine they would say "Yeah, we hate the ending, too". The obvious response would be "Why did you release the game then without changing the endings?".

I'm pretty sure that not everybody at Bioware is 100% happy with the ending.

Agreed, if I was BW I would've delayed release and come up with a new ending, rather than rush it.... <_< it's all rather fishy to be honest... *attempts to sneak into BW, but is too far away from their headquarters*

Not trying to advertise my own thread here, but I have started a thread discussing games journalism and potential for bias, specifically in relation to ME3.

If you have any thoughts or ideas you'd like to share please come discuss!

So BW has told us that it'd be hard to get the best possible endings, but they always let us do with this game something that was unprecedented: if we made the right decisions, we could get the outcome we want. Huge spoilers ahead, you've been warned:

Current information states that regardless of which ending you choose, regardless of whether or not Shep lives or dies, the Normandy crew gets stranded on some random world without tech, Shepard will never see them again, and the galaxy by and large is completely boned for the next 200k years or so without any kind of good spacefaring tech.

To which I just want to say...why? After so many years of giving us control, why jerk it away from us at the last second just to force us to get a "bittersweet" ending. Not that I mind there being one present, and I'd use one in a playthrough, but not ALL my playthroughs.

Well said, I only finished the game a few hours ago and I was distraught. I cannot believe that's how they wanted to end this awesome Trilogy. I feel like I have been lied to or fooled or something, it's just not right :(

No clue to be honest, I wasn't paying much attention to BSN at the time, well okay that's a white lie, I was paying attention but not to the spoilers section.

I think since EA is the publisher, they dictate when the release date is, and even if there complications whether to stick to it or not...
If that is true, I really hope someone from Bioware is saying one of the EA guys "see, I told ya"

Good point, I generally discount EA as being a nonentity that seems to have its claws, tentacles, whatevers in some of my favorite companies. :crying:
