Is it just me, or was anyone else that had a Spacer Shep annoyed that you never even get an email from your mom? You would think with the possible end of the galaxy close at hand they would at least attempt to talk to each other. Unless I somehow missed it and you can talk to her?

Unfortunately not, we only hear from Hackett that she's alive and well, but you've must have seen that part. Image IPB

Poor Techno Turian...he probably died when the Reapers took the Citadel. :crying: The universe is a less awesome place without him.

I noticed that as well, I mean Hackett mentions she's still alive and working on the Cruible, but as far as I can remember that's the only mention of her in the game... >.< And there is never any mention of spacer Shep's father throughout the entire series.... I mean I get that Anderson is supposed to be like a father figure to all Sheps, but still, not even mentioning the dad? wth?!

In my mind, Mama Shep and Anderson had a fling way back when. He might as well be her/his dad.

This is a very good read - basicly sums up everything that is wrong with the ending. I recommend it

I said the very same thing to a friend today! A conversation with Shep's mum would have been great, though I would have settled for an message. They even mention her a few times and it seems the plot is setting up for it, but then....nothing.

Small gripe, I know. But since the travesty of an "ending", I'm noticing the little missing things more and more.

Now that a few hours have passed since I finished the game, I still can't get to sleep and I still feel like someone gave me a fist in my stomach, gutted me and left my remains to dry in the sun.

I defnitely won't buy any new game or DLC or anything by Bioware (and EA) if this mess is left as it is.

Hold the line!

This is how I also have felt when I finished the game. I stayed up playing untill 3 am. Then I couldn't sleep for 2 hours.. And I'm not a whiny person, I've played all RPGs ever made by BioWare (except the MMO). They are my no1 game-selling company. NO1. I even tried to play a shooter (Mass Effect), because it was made by THEM. If I ever complained about anything, it was because I wanted it to be better. I have never really felt let down, not even with the things others were complaining about. I was always totally OK with their testing the waters with new things and game styles (like DA2). So they weren't always masterpeaces, but I enjoyed them. ENJOYED, even endings others didnt' lile.

How did it get here?  :crying:

Heh, I'm kinda tempted to start writing a fanfic for my Shep, a pre service history, and also a alternate ending~! Where she goes off with Liara, becomes the muscle for the SB, and has lots of little blue children~! All of whom are trained in biotics and sniping~! They'd be blue female Thane's~!

Yeah, but it would not work verry well if you consider the customization of your shepard. Bioware was wise to keep one of shepards parents from the scene or there could be a huge debacle about his skin color.

Is it wrong to want to see a video of a group of people in a field with a copy of ME 3 and stomping it while "Still" by Geto Boys is playing?

The thing is we are not given the ending. We're given the death sequence of Shepard. And some say it's all indoctrination, I say it's both. Here is the deal, from the very first scene where Shepard sees the child (that nobody else can see in the entire game) we are witnessing the decline of Shepard.

Throughout the game we are given hints of this all the time, little things that most fail to notice down to more obvious ones such as the dreams and outright telling you: Such as when the VI tells you that it detected "indoctrination presence", and NO the VI was NOT referring to Leng. It was talking about YOU the very moment you came close to it. It repeates the fact AFTER Leng is dead, when it tells you that the Indoctrination lock is shut down, so now you can ask whatever you want. At this point it is absolutely clear that Shepard is becoming a subject of the Reapers. Fast forward to the ending.

After the blast everything is in an out of body experience. The whole environment around Shepard is wrong and the Reapers begin to "draw you in". Destruction is you winning against the reapers... I am ok with this. But the things is that it is presented as the "actual" ending of the game.. and that pissed med off. Not only was I given a ****ty "ending", I was completely ignored in everything I put in to Shepard. Indoctrination or not, shepard at that point would still be able to flip the finger at the AI 'child' (which is like... never trust a child telling you what to do. You know this right?) And the 'colors' just aggrevated me further. A) I don't like to be played. B) This is the most important part. Unless I am told *before* that there will be a continuation, I want the bloody ending in the game I purchased. .. and the.. hey, let's see how many get's it, game BW is playing just ruins the whole experience of ME. ..

The *whole* immersion is ruined, these kind of metajokes really don't work well unless you are *really really* good at it. And given how much the Internet is raging, It's pretty clear that BW is *not* good at it. ... It's time to stop the charade and come clean. You are actively destroying your hard work, and the sad fact is that you don't seem to get it (yes I am talking to you BW).

Loosing my hopes again :-(

I can't believe there is more to the endings than what we got. I figure they have nothing and are just waiting for the momentum of this "revoltion" to decrease. As for the vague tweets: I guess the main- twitter guys haven't even played the game and yet ar trying holding up the people's minds. And Jessica Merizan is an awesome community manager, but i have the slight feeling she really doesnt know if ther is something planned and is merely just hoping herself.

They do have gene manipulation, although the negative implications of that are...unpleasant. In my headcanon Shep just got her mom's skin color.
