Know what I find most ironic about this? The Reapers are doing this to avoid a Singularity right? Yet they boost the Geth to become more powerful then their creators, thus creating a singularity, because otherwise the Geth were obviously too weak to stop their creators without Reaper assistence. So...the Reapers don't want synthetics to destroy organics...yet gave those synthetics the means to destroy their organic creators, who were otherwise too powerful to defeat. They MADE a singularity.

I think when most players want a good ending in a game series, where most of them bought all 3 parts and most DLCs (at least I guess so), the devs etc. should hear, what they have to say. We earned the right to discuss it with them by giving them so much money.

If you see it slowly (from youtube) you aren't really hit by the beam, it goes all blank 1-3 second before that. 

So the dreame theory becomes a bit more realistic...

Still, then something has to come.

Its so sad that they don´t say anything about it (at least I did not see it).

But I think it would be the only theory that would allow to bring in an ending DLC that gives another end without making this one out of order.

The theories of the "The truth" DLC would work with that, too. When they tried to indoctrinate him etc., it really could be a huge difference, what he decided.

Well the game's officially released worldwide. Hopefully we get something substantial tomorrow or in the next few days. I really hate it when the mods make "witty" remarks when it actually comes off as mocking us.

My theory is that some days from today they will unlock the real ending. Or so i hope it. With my Xbox 360, collector of ME1, ME2, ME3 all DLC buyed... i cannot obtain 4000+ EMS and i don't have time to play it MP (even if was okay for me eventually to play it). I Need some BW magic wand

I am not a "fan." I am a loyal customer. Right now, my trust in this company is nil. It's as much to do with their handling of the situation, and the snarky BS thrown at us, as it does the endings themselves. Calling us "fans" is insidious. If I buy any other product in any other industry, I am a customer, not a "fan."

Well I buyed all the books (excluding the last one, the inconsistencies postet here in the forum made my decision) comics and games (hell i have ME2 two times couldn't get the collectors edition on day one, buyed the normal one instead and half a year later the collectors edition I just had to have it) including all dlc. And although I consider myself a fan. It doesn't change the fact that I'm still a buying costumer.

That costumer side of me won't forget what they did here, the ending -> their reaction -> and if it even comes, the ending dlc.

And if it should turn out that they planned it from the beginning then it's a fraud in my opinion = they simply don't deserve my trust anymore.

If it turns out that it wasn't planned then they lost all sense of reality = again they don't deserve trust again.

I am right there with you...

At this point, no matter what kind of damage control Bioware comes up with, they are already tainted. However, if they do not come up with anything at all, it will be even worse...

I really want there to be a different ending, I really enjoyed the game up to the point where you are hit by the reaper's laser beam.

However unless the content was already made at the time of shipping, I find it unlikely that it will be created retro-actively. It would be a pretty huge task to add another hour plus of content which actually offers a huge amount of different conclusions.

Think about all the different combinations of cutscenes and events that they need to go through, they need to cover at least each squad member and then make separate ones for those who died, survived, were a love interest etc.

This is not a small amount of work, the potential combinations of endings are immense and perhaps that is one of the reasons they streamlined or for a better term railroaded the player into three basic choices with the idea behind it being "how do you interpret it?".

There must be people are Bioware's offices that are huge Mass Effect fans and they must feel the same regarding the ending if so many people from such a diverse player base do, so either there's more planned or this is really it and it was simply an issue of time and complexity.

Further to this, you have to think about how to deliver that content of an "unfinished ending" to the player. If that's the case it isn't some run of the mill extra character that people might get, it would be the conclusion to Modern version of Star Wars.

They would want everyone to experience it and simply getting that out to their customers would be a logistical nightmare. Getting the content out to console uses without say an Xbox Live account is going to be problematic.

Further to this if they hadn't already created the content many of the people from the Mass Effect 3 development cycle will have moved onto other projects or at least taken vacation after the crunch period.

The amount of people that went into making the game will be large, the size of a DLC team will not be large by comparison. They are hardly going to have the same sized teams working on a project after it has shipped as from a financial standpoint this just doesn't make sense.

My comment might come off as negative but really I'm just trying to be realistic. I play through Baldur's Gate 2 once every year as to me it is the greatest game ever created and really I'm just sorely disappointed in the "Modern Art, philosophical" ending approach that we seem to have been given.

I feel like my book has the last 20 pages missing.

Even with my personal paranoia, I don't have the time / interest/ energy to start back at ME1, make all the "right" choices regardless of how I feel about those choices just so I can have a saved game that has a 4000+ EMS.

I truly, truly hope that (IF) whatever DLC comes out, I can access the new and happy ending with the save game that actually reflects the character I built.
