Heading away from my desk for a while, but make sure to keep things civil and respectable. Also, keep the Bioware bashing to a minimum.

As a last note: I encourage everyone to post in the thread CP put up to let them know how much we absolutely LOVED the game....right up until those last 10 minutes.

I really hope that the endings will be changed and won't leave here until we have a final answer from BioWare, although there is not much hope for a positive outcome for this in my opinion.
Maybe they just stay quiet because a directly told "ending is fix and won't be changed" would hit their sales numbers more than their current policy of remaining silent.

That could be true and would show how bad they really are. But at some point it would be clear then, and the feedback would still be hard. But its like always... as long as people just shout and do nothing more, it won´t change anything. That is the same way how politics work for long years now.

I think the only way to show them, that this way would be absolutly not what they should do, would be that really much people will not buy any games from them anymore. But be honest: If in 2 years a new ME part comes out, who of us would really not buy it because they let us down in these days?

I won't. I am done with Mass Effect and with Bioware/EA.

I am here just to help hold the line... and because I want to see what BS explanation they will try to give us...

I'll wait a lot of time before buying it, i will first see some video/demo, after that i'll think about it.

If they don't fix this, I sure as heck won't. Not going to get into another set of Mass Effect games only for them to do this at the end.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

I bet mass effect 4 is going to be all about how they rebuilt galactic civilization without the relays and the citadel. And earth is probably going ot be like the capital or something like that.

Yeah, same here.  If there's one thing I've learned from this it's that preordering is a sucker's bet.  It's just frustrating not to when you also want to avoid spoilers :pinched:

It's BS.  If there was a "proper ending" DLC, they'd just announce it at this stage to placate the fans.  Instead they are toying with us.  They have nothing, and just want to placate the fans so we don't flood the market with used copies and kill their bonuses.

I always thought the "real ending" DLC was a bogus and a fairy tale, but you went even further and made a fair point. The longer they delay us, the longer they prevent used copies sales, making more money in the way with the new copies....

Once again Bioware shows how little they care for the customers. We are not cows to be milked....

hand in hand with a cooking book about how to prepare a proper meal made out of husks in order to prevent starvation.

yummy

but on the other hand... they have always said that the reapers are concentrating on the big cities... so the farms etc should be mostly intact?

What i want is a FREE DLC of real endings and contribute to the indoctrination story line at the end of ME3... make ending seem like a dream (like the dream shep normally has of the boy) then wake him up from Harbingers attack and finish the fight while fighting off the indoctrination... in addition... MAKE THOSE ENDINGS MEAN SOMETHING! where the heck was my LC gone and where the hell was joker going?

This has got to be indoctrination at the end. If it is, clever and greedy move Bioware. If these are the actual endings they are rushed, all the same, poorly written with crazy amounts of plotholes (Relays/supernovas, stranded fleets, no epilogue, normandy running, etc.) It's either a clever and greedy move by Bioware to continue the Shepard saga or it's a rushed ending written by a five year old.

Image is everything.

It doesn't matter or not whether people were serious in their posts of lack thereof about legal actions and possibilities. All it takes really is one poster (spreading rumor OR fact) and that's enough for others to take it and run with it.

I wanted to donate,I tried but for some odd reason it wouldn't take my credit card even though it's a MC. I'm not signing up for paypal so I will find some other way. Maybe I'll just go the previous mentioned route and donate directly from the charity.

I'm disinclined to blame Bioware for this though. No offense to EA fans but imo, most of the Bioware backlash (not just from this game) started when EA started running things. Or maybe I just started to notice it more. I'm not posting to rage against EA but it's highly likely that a lot of the "unfinished" things regarding Bioware games like this one are because of constraints EA placed on them.

I'm not just trying to justify either, I'm bitter about the endings myself. I just think I like Bioware more before EA got involved.

Everything is always better when EA isn't involved, regardless of studio.

Probably not, take a look at the ingame pictures you get of planet earth during the final battle. It seems like the whole earth is either burning or turned into some grey, deserted wasteland...

Yep, been spreading that on here. Who knows, maybe someone will take notice and learn about closure. Especially the fighting cutscenes based on your actions. Seriously, a little bone there to those who worked their arses off to make sure as many people could be there without compromising their own moral standards.

It irks me the most that I couldn't tell the starchild NO. DO NOT WANT YOUR SOLUTIONS.

Ok so i'm trying to sleep but can't. Keep reading reviews where people are commenting on 'if it was a book, would you demand they change the ending,etc...' One thing that bugs me is that this is a game, not a book. If that book let you choose the direction of the story (like those awesome goosebumps books - not sure if that's an Aussie thing sorry) then we could compare changing the ending of a book to changing the ending of a game, otherwise it's apples and oranges people... Sorry for my rant, maybe now I can sleep. Apologies if grammar and spelling sick, my phone keyboard isn't great.

The game is the best one of the trilogy, but:
- ending is a bit frustrating. Not many differences, bittersweet all of them.
- The united fleet remained on Earth after the explosion of Mass Relays? Or how did alien cultures go home?
- Why was Normandy running away from the wave coming from the Crucible if it did not have any effect on anything (at least on Earth)?
Bioware should explain a few things if they made this happen. A lot of people ask to change ending, but I say if they did this, correct it with some explanations.

Yes every ship you brought with you is now dependent on a single planet's resources that has recently been razed to the ground, likely implying mass starvation, and definitely implying the starvation of turians and quarians who followed you since they can't eat any of the food on earth.

Furthermore no race can use the mass relays again, cutting off all major supply lines in the galaxy. Were you on a mining or research station? Hope there's a garden world within spitting distance because you aren't getting any more supplies. The thing about the ending is it's not all that bittersweet considering Shepard has just signed the death warrant of billions at least and completely isolated each member of the galactic community that you worked so hard to repair in the first 98% of the game, and that's in the best possible ending.

This of course assumes that the Crucible destroying the Mass Relays doesn't follow the existing lore set down by Arrival and cause a chain of supernova's that kills any poor sap unfortunate enough to be in a system housing a relay, including earth! We're never told by the magic child that the crucible does things any different than an asteroid so there's really no way we can assume it does otherwise other than "SPACE MAGIC".

I have a hard time getting a bittersweet vibe from any of the endings. The only bone we're thrown is "Hey at least at some unspecified point in the far future things don't suck for these two random people!"

Sorry for the rant, and I don't mean to be confrontational just woke up, and i'm a grumpy person before I have my coffee...

Ever since I finished ME3 I'm grumpy as hell and I can assure you that I have a lot of coffee in my system right now.

"The Truth" is obviously bs.

BW said before that DLC's are side quests and not continuing the main plot after the end.

But on the other hand: BW said a lot of things now didn't they?!
