Part of me, the cynical part, is waiting for BW or EA to start using our actions to show just how good their game is that the fans raised money for charity because of the ending. Saying that it goes to show it was a good thing...

I'm hoping that my cynicism is misguided but I wouldn't be surprised if some EA Execs have thought about making it out as if it was their doing....

Dude that's mess up. They wouldn't actually do that... Would they?

Well if I can think of it....

I just want to repost this. Watch it!

Let's say this proves true then the endings won't be change they will get an addition.

When Bioware said our choices matter I believe whatever you decided at the end if you reflect that. How it will work with Synthesis and Control will be interesting to see since Destroy has Shepard living (again if any of that is true) I will admit that this is a messed up way to go about things but on the other hand it's kind of clever. It gives us more mass effect on one hand but on the other it should of been in the game.

How ever this goes I have a little more hope that we may see something we all want.

If not then at least the ride was fun until the end.

Although we did almost fall into a plot hole. You might want to put up some signs.

We also have tea for Smithers.

The first comment is also highly amusing.

This makes me so proud. I unfortunately don't have the means to donate myself but this is really something. I didn't cry throughout the game, including the deaths of thane, mordin, ect. I didn't even lose it after the ending, but reading the first few lines of that did. Regardless of what happens I'm proud to say I held this line.

This is my first post on BSN, but I figured I might as well say something after spending the last few days reading through most of the last 600 odd pages in this thread (I know that's sad).

I'm still reeling from the ending of the game. I finished it last week, but I haven't gotten over it in the slightest. I don't really think I need to go into why, as every point I would make has been expanded on a hundred times over already in this thread.

That Bioware felt they could end their game like this feels like a betrayal of trust, of sorts. That they lied about what we were getting with this game. It was great for the most part (The core game is a bit flawed), but the ending takes away whatever redemption was there.

And it doesn't just ruin this game, it makes the first two Mass Effects unplayable as well. My plan of immediately replaying the series afterwards was quashed by a sudden lack of motivation to do so. I mean, what's the point of pouring in another 120 Hours into these games if I know it's just going to end like this? If it remains like this, I don't think I'll ever do it.

I really hope those theories about Shepard's indoctrination are true, and a DLC with an actual ending is coming. It's a cautious hope,

Fantastic game.
Crushingly horrible non-ending.

I found out about the ending "choices" last Thursday, just before going to Cronos Station, because I didn't want to be blindsided. I'd heard the rumours of bad endings for a while, but had avoided spoilers until that point. I didn't play ME3 again until Saturday. Friday was spent crying any time I thought of the game, and lurking in this thread. I finally came to terms with the situation, enough to keep playing, and head-canon my way out of the mess. I ended up alt-F4'ing at the console, just before Mini-ReaperMaster shows up. I'm going to try to play through the ending soon, just so I can start an NG+. I suspect I will alt-F4 again, if we haven't heard anything from BioWare by then.

I can't really believe that the devs would end it like this. I don't want to believe it. Last week was supposed to be a glorious time spent battling Reapers, instead, it ended on a great big mind-frak from BioWare. Even if this gets fixed, I don't know if I'll ever trust them again, and this is from someone who pre-ordered the CEs of their last 4 games. Heck, I even like DA2, overall.

Mass Effect 1-2-3 is epic games. Lots of beautiful moments, we really created bond with characters. That's why we want better ending. Ending like this is not for the epic game and I can't believe Bioware created ending like this. I really hope that you wanted to see our reactions and will let us download real ending within weeks.

In the end, Bioware's gonna release a 10$ real end DLC, everyone's gonna buy it, and not a single game from that point onward is gonna have an ending included in the original release.

If they do charge £10 for ending DLC it's going to be thanks to EA

I hear you, I spent maybe 200+ hours with 6 play throughs of both ME1 and 2, and ME3 had an amazing start if you can get past the whole Deus Ex Machina deal.

I loved most of ME3, I teared up for Mordin, Thane, and LEgion, and was like "**** yeah" when I saw Grunt make it out alive.

And was again like "**** yeah," when I brought peace to the quarian and geth, and again when The fleets came to earth. But after the Harbinger death beam I started to go "the hell?"

and then the ending hit, and I just went into denial and thought that didn't happen. Screw this, I'm going with my own made up ending where all my good choices mattered in the end.

NOT this stupid Space Reaper god child Wizard ghost telling me I only have three choices. No my Shepard says screw you we're finding a different way.

Overall it was a major Copout.

True but there will be always an ending, it will just always be bad so people get angry and end up buying the new end afterwards.

I don't think that will be the case.

If they do release the real end as something you pay for, everyone WILL buy it, just to get closure.

But at that point onwards a lot of the trust between consumer and producer in this case will be lost. It won't be possible to do again successfully.

I just noticed something,

Do you think its by chance that the forrest and colours of the night with the child and stargazer look an aweful lot a kin to Sheps dreams? Think about it too, who is the last person to be with the boy in the dreams? Could the old man be Shepard? I guess it would only work if the female sheps ending has a woman stargazer?

even if it isn't and a real person is sitting there tweeting, it's more company nonspeak to keep somebody from going the way of cliffy claven until the 'braintrust' comes up with something
