Is anyone else finding all this incredible?

I don't mean ME3 or the (none) comments from BW, but the reaction to it?

Consider that we have people from each and every country effectively working together towards the same end, and doing so with little to no friction. I can't think of any other point in history that people from so many countries have joined together like this. Heck, if you can get the French, Germans and the English agreeing on anything, that is history in the making....;)

You raise a very good point sir! We've got Jerry and Tommy agreeing thus far (:o), although I've yet to see any French. Maybe they're saying the same in their part of the forum?

Nope, we have at least one French poster on here. The problem, of course, is that you don't know what nationality anyone is unless or until they tell post it.

I also noted the irony that a game about someone trying to unite the galaxy manages, through its pitiful ending, to unite so many countries. Now all we have to do is replace all those people running our respective countries with Mass Effect players and we might have world peace...^_^

It is really amazing, sitting back to think about it - who would have thought that all it would take for world peace to start taking shape was a group of people who share a love of great games ;)

Kind of ironic considering that the game is all about getting everyone working together to stop an evil force from destroying the universe.

That's pretty crazy when you think about it..

Kinda like History in the making.

So true, so true.... especially the part about the French, Germans and English ;)

I'd also like to point out that this movement could be considered a microcosm of where the world is(hopefully) headed. Culture/music/etcetc becoming a world wide thing instead of isolated based on arbitrary borders.

One step closer to becoming a Type 1 Civilization, thanks to Bioware!

You all know the mission and what is at
stake

I have come to trust each of you with my
life

But I have also heard murmurs of
discontent and I share your concerns

We were trained for great endings

We would be legends

But the records are sealed

Glory in battle is not our way

When Bioware gave us a terrible ending,
we held the line

When Gabe knocked us, we held the line

When big gaming sites called us whiners,
we held the line

Our influence will bring us great
endings!

In our stand today

WE WILL HOLD THE LINE!!!

That
struck me as amazing, too. I am not one to dabble often on forums. However,
this incidence has presented precedence. I have always held the theory that
large enough collaborative efforts can achieve absolutely anything, such as history
has shown. Now, I know this seems a trivial issue to those not fans of the
game, but it is amazing nonetheless. And the fact that it has become worldwide
is truly awe inspiring.

WHY SMILEYS WHY

Because they are mocking us....

Well, I don't know about you, but for me it seems that they've just confirmed the indocrination theory and the fact that they've intentionally trolled everyone with the goddamn ending.

True or False, they are still mocking us...

And honestly, as paying customers and loyal fans, it is my belief that we deserve a little more respect than that...

I still think that one of the things we must make clear is that we can't accept the ending not to be on the main game; the box that we bought; the only one some customers will ever play. Ends and main parts of a game can't come in a DLC or patch.

I think we can't miss that point. Or we are going to have more and more incomplete games.

Indeed. I´ve said it a few times now that allowing them to publish a DLC with the ending will open precedent for all companies to do the same. They will announce their games, they will sell and deliver it only for us to find it missing crucial parts of the storyline.

At this point, I would accept a formal apology and a patch (or DLC at this one time) that completes the game FOR FREE. Anything less is a direct offense on us as customers...

AshleyMadelineWilliams wrote...

Why should we wait and stand for the annoying mocking we are getting. MASS EFFECT MEANS ALOT TO ALL OF US!

Why should we pay for an ending?
We paid for a complete game
Why should we wait so long for a rumoured DLC?
We paid for a complete game

We paid for this game because it means the world to us.... its insulting and rude.
Im starting to lose my patience.... im not the one to lose my patience

You, me a another thousand people I would guess....

This has gone too far. The time is coming for them to take a stand, either with us, or against us. But until then..

Let's HOLD THE DAMN LINE....

You said it! Let no one accept this as a normal thing!

HOLD THE LINE PEOPLE !!!!!

isn't "the sun" from news corp??don't they hate mass effect?

Not if they think that they can "side with the people"

They hated it when it was full of "alien sex and debauchery" because other people were complaining.

Now they see someone else to side with. Tabloids are fickle. That said I rather not have the Sun on my side.
