Honestly, if he managed to get it done in "23" hours, he must have gotten a ****ty ending. To complete ALL the side missions and main missions, it takes you 30-40 hours depending on difficulty. ME3 is supposed to be bigger than ME2.Marta Rio wrote...

Can somebody give me a quick summary of the "facts in evidence" so far?
Specifically, could you answer:
(1) How many leakers there are? (i.e. people to claim to have copies of the game and are releasing spoilery info.)
(2) What platforms are they claiming to run on?
(3) Have they actually played through the game itself or just extracted video files?
(4) If they've played through it, how much time have they spent with the game? Are they claiming to have experienced all the possible endings, or just some of them?
(5) Which of the leakers have actually posted direct evidence (screen shots, vids, etc.) so that we know that they're not just talking out of their asses?
Thanks!
2. I'm not sure. XBOX I think.
3. Both, at least in one case.
4. I think he admitted that he went through it pretty quickly.
5. They both seem to be pretty legit.
Much obliged, Tietj.
Maybe there's more evidence than this, but I dunno, that seems far from definitive. If these people played through the xbox edition "pretty quickly", how could they possible know all the endings?
Is this really all the evidence that we have our panties in a collective bunch over?

The SEs came out days ago. It doesn't take that long to data mine the game nor play it. The SE guy said his first play through took 23 hours.

Sorry, wrong. If you look at the CookedPC folder, there's a movie section. The movies all use the generic bik file type, which is easily examined through Bink video, a free download. He probably just searched for all the .bik files and went through those.
The other structures are propriety Bioware file types that cannot be used for movie storage.
The bink video files are actually in the BioGame/Movies folder but they only give limited indications of possible outcomes (for Mass Effect 2 at least its only the major choices like CollectorExplode or CollectorRadiation). Nothing about which crew member dies or even shepard, this is told by ingame graphics. If Bioware went the same way for Mass Effect 3 just going through the bik files doesn't give you all possible outcomes.

I would love to hear the answer to the " BioWare will not do a "Lost" and leave fans with more questions than answers after finishing the game, Gamble promised." If this is the case that there is a Lost like ending the biblical rage from the fan base will truly be epic.Rdubs wrote...

He added: "I honestly think the player base is going to be really happy with the way we've done it. You had a part in it. Every decision you've made will impact how things go. The player's also the architect of what happens."
Whether you're happy or angry at the ending, know this: it is an ending. BioWare will not do a "Lost" and leave fans with more questions than answers after finishing the game, Gamble promised.
"You'll get answers to everything. That was one of the key things. Regardless of how we did everything, we had to say, yes, we're going to provide some answers to these people."
Sigh... Like someone already said "I love marketing".
I'm looking forward to the followup interview which reads these statements back and then asks, "okay, knowing what we know now, how do you explain?" Sit back and crack a beer, the amount and quality of varsity question dodging and subject obfuscation necessary to pull that off would make even Bill Clinton want to take notes.

Keeping my Pre-order, and waiting until the game is released to find out if all the talk in this thread is true. If so, may not even unbox the game and just post it on eBay a few months down the road.

If it's true it may not even be sellable on eBay. There's really no harm done cancelling it then buying it at a later date. You certainly don't lose money that way.

Having read some of the leaked script info, the way dialogues set you up for the happily ever afters with your Lis was finally the thing to convince me this is fake.
Or you need to play the game thoroughly to experience the best ending.
Or you need to import your Shepards.
Or whatever.

I find it funny that people have managed to data mine in such a short time. This isn't NCIS where you've got Abby and McGee remotely controlling a suspect's computer within the hour. I'm not saying that this is the most diffuclt thing in the world, but I'd like to mention that there's no, "show me cool ****" button.Obidex wrote...
Gonna go ahead and assume they haven't played through every possible way. Data mining can only do so much if a developer wants to keep something hidden. So if the strat says there is one I'm gonna go ahead and hope that is true.
The pc version has leaked too and people have gone through it and these are the only endings.

I've seen a number of screenshots from them and they are, based on compression artifacts and resolution, looking very authentic. Sure, it's possible to fake them, but I doubt anyone would go to the trouble.
How could you mix up something like that? Because you're lying and don't even have a clue.Unit-Alpha wrote...

Are we simply ignoring the part about all ME2 + ME3 romances defaulting to Liara during the flashbacks? Or are we assuming that will be fixed by a day one patch?

Yeah i'm not pleased by the turn out of these events at all. Bioware has been lying to us this whole time about certain things via tweets and what not. Off the top of my head, someone once asked Casey on Twitter if they can marry their LI, and Casey tweeted "We got you covered."
Oh....sure you do.

Fun fact: You ain't entitled to anything regarding the ending. Look at this and conceptualize in your mind Game of Thrones et al. Nobody is safe from getting deaded. I'll make the choices I want not because I want the 'best' ending but because they are the choices I made.
You have made the choice, you must take the medicine. I fully support whatever comes. Bad or good I made the choices not because I wanted sunshine and roses but because morally I felt they were right. If you made the choices because you wanted everything to be okay and now feel cheated because there is a chance that it won't, well tough. Life ain't roses.
That series is amazing! I love the author with balls to kill major characters left and right
I love me some Game of Thrones, but I think if its finale is anything like nuBSG's (which I'm sure it will be: doom and gloom is its calling card) people are still going to flip.
So in the case of an interactive RPG? People are going to flip.
