I think it will go down in history regardless of niche. As I noted some 20 pages back this is probably the first time so many people, from so many different countries, have joined together and spoken with one voice.

For over a decade the computer games industry has been treating their customers with increasing amounts of contempt. This is the first time I know of when the customers have come forward as a block to tell them that this is not acceptable in a clear and polite way. Win or lose this is the start of a change.

If we get what we are asking for the games industry is going to sit up and take notice.

If we lose Bioware and EA will almost certainly end up out of business within two years, as people just stop buying their games. At which point the remaining games industry will have to sit up and take notice or risk the same fate.

Even though their responses aren't saying much let's make sure to stay civil and respectful. Let's make sure to keep the Bioware bashing to a minimum. It's easy to get upset now that they're saying SOMETHING, but let's keep things civil like we've been doing.

Question: How many of you guys here only signed up on BSN so you could voice your frustration at the ending?

Its really cool to see many 2012 signed up people in here or only have ME3 registered on their games.

That's actually a story in itself, I actually had an account with ME, ME2, and DA:O registered but when I bought ME3 through Origin (to pick up BF3 for free) I used a different email address so to actually post here and register the game I needed to make a new BSN account and wait a day to post.

Not that I was a regular BSN poster, I only really lurked around once in awhile. This was too much though.

EDIT: Oddly enough DA2 somehow got connected to my account

I know that it's quite a large bid I'd like to ask, but could someone who speaks Japanese give a brief summary of what's going on in their forums?

Hahah, I speak Japanese.
I posted something about it around...3 pages ago. And I made a whole summary about it like...200 pages ago lol

But anyways, in short they are complaining that they did a lot up until this point and all the options they get are the same: destroy everything and the mass relays will disappear. They also say that whatever they choose, it will end the same way, so it is pointless.

I would translate more, but I need to go to class in 5min, so when I come back (in about  2 hrs), I will read more and post more about it.

Keep holding the line until then! ;)

Thanks. Ambassador TamiBx. You're our contact to Japan.:)

So, how goes BWs strategy to try to divert everyones anger XD

So far this is all they have said:

"We appreciate everyone’s feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know that we are listening. Active discussions about the ending are more than welcome here, and the team will be reviewing it for feedback and responding when we can. Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can’t get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game. In the meantime, we’d like to ask that you keep the non-spoiler areas of our forums and our social media channels spoiler free.
We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback.
In the meantime, let’s give appreciation to Commander Shepard. Whether you loved the ME3 ending or didn’t or you just have a lot of questions, he/she has given many of us some of the best adventures we have had while playing games. What was your favorite moment?"

Sometimes I get the feeling Bioware is acting just like the Council back in ME1. Total denial..

1 - There is no way Sauren would betray us -. There is no way the fans won't like the endings;
2 - There are no Reapers, sheppard is just crazy - There isn't a mass rebellion going on in the forums, just a vocal minotiry;

There is a likeness to it..

/Salute

I agree. This is the SSV Bunny Teefs with the British Fleet checking in from Lincoln, UK! I'm so honoured to be a part of this, with all of you. We'll hold the line together and for as long as it takes.

Beat the game two days after it came out. Bioware...WTF were you thinking? It wasn't deep, no closure, made no sense what so ever.

I spent countless hours on five different Sheps through ME to ME2, only to have a pick your color ending where, no matter what I've done through the series, ends with utter annihilation or forced genetic rewrite of all the Mass Effect races. I could deal with my Sheps dying a meaningful, closure filled death, a renegade ending of utter evil selfish destruction, or a happy blue baby swarmed retirement (or any variation of them). Not the gigantic middle finger I got from the WTF ending.

Thanks to those last 10 or so minutes...I have come to help hold the line.

Welcome to the fight soldier! Here have a blanket and a free hug^_^

Stay strong and civil, we can win!

Well, I've got the engineering team putting together a little braai (or barbeque, as my UK brothers and sisters know it) kit for us, so that's quite the evening we can have out here.... and I'm fairly sure that the good doctor will be joining us in spirit, if not in body (and brandy!)

Welcome to the fleets. We're glad to have you. I think it goes without saying, keep the bashing to a minimum(high road ftw) and enjoy the company. We all understand. Some have gone through depression, others just straight to rage. We're all unhappy about it.

Hi! This is my first post in the forum (I didn't think I'll ever use the EA account so don't pay attention to my nickname :P).

First of all I want to report for the European fleet! (Writting from Spain so forgive if my english sucks a little)

When I saw those crappy endings with space magic I was devastated. The trilogy which I've loved for so many years suddenly was turned to shreds and I lost any appetite for replaying any of the three games. Then I came to the forum and that apathy turned into happiness. That's thanks for all of you "entitled gamers" because I saw I was not alone, that people was complainning and that I had a right to complain too, because you people are making gaming history not only showing that we aren't just ATM machines for the companys but clients intelligent enough to know when something is a rip-off. Also because of the Child's play donation. I don't know if we'll get another ending but in the worst case we'll have collected thousands of dollars for charity. That speaks greatly of everyone of you.

I wanted to say that imo there are three possible outcomes for this:

The neural green: Bioware launchs a DLC with the actual/new/rewritten endings. We have to pay more money to get the game to an ending so it's a rip-off BUT at least the ME trilogy will be remembered in a good way and not as "The worst way to ruin a story". I'd have to think hard about buying anymore Bioware products.

The rebel red: Bioware says the ending is fixed and tell us to go **** ourselves. ME3 will be remembered in a bitter way as a fail and a rip-off. (But reading some of the interviews to the ME staff it doesn't seem like they care as long as it's remembered.) I won't ever buy anything from them again and I hope I won't be the last one.

The paragon blue: Bioware launchs a FREE DLC with the actual/new/rewritten endings. Bioware is like "We were kidding! We were your friends aaall along!!". We are all gratefull and, as far as I'm concerned, Bioware keep to be one of my favorite game developers and they show they really care about their fans.

Anyway I think all this silence and witty comments from them are just like "Let's buy some time so the Japanese have time to buy some games". It seems that we stopped existing when we handed our money to them,

Sorry for the long post but after 24 hours waitting to be able to post I had so many thing I wanted to say.

Hold the line and help the children!

It is mind boggling to think they thought the endings were good ones. Wow. Just . . . wow.
