this is semi-off topic, but the "entitled user" statement has me, as a non native english speaker confused. until i read about/saw the infamous IGN video, i thought being entitled means having a right to/on something, as in "i'm entitled to vote".
now clearly there is a different meaning to this word and i figured in our case it means something like "shameless"/"unreasonable"/"too high demands", but i really can't find this other meaning in a dictionary, so could somebody please clear this up for me?

i offer 1 cookie.

i'll take chocolate chip cookie.....

the ign troll is using entitled in the same manner....they employ chobot, a VA in ME3......so they are behind bioware, calling us whiney, as if we feel entitled to the end that 'we wanted'

i've said we aren't entitled to an end that we wanted, but we are entitled to voice our displeasure and to spend our dollars accordingly in the future...

It's also deflection tactic often used in business and politics to undermine a viewpoint, no matter how major or minor. It's also very easy to call something a "vocal minority" when you already have their money.
Politics and business, you know I hate em.

Before this is all over I would like to say thanks guys for standing up in what I believe is the most effective player rebellion ever. Don't let up until they stop listening and start talking. Remember though it this is about more then ME3 it's about the time players stood up and made something happen. Don't go back to trusting any Dev or publisher after this and remember they are not always working for our best interests.

Remember the comments from IGN and other reviewers. Don't let it slip later remember the reviewers and people who supported our right to get what we pay for. And remember the fact without people to read adds no company will pay them to run adds. Always remember that at any point BiowarEA could have said hey wait these are our fans right or wrong agree or not IGN doesn't have a dog in this fight (that would have really showed me they value us).

Just don't let this victory be forgotten in the 30 min of playing your new end or watching biowarEA be squished by EA bean counting reapers from accounting hell.

Question: How many of you guys here only signed up on BSN so you could voice your frustration at the ending?

Its really cool to see many 2012 signed up people in here or only have ME3 registered on their games.

I originally signed up at the time of DA2, but registered ME3 specifically so I could see what people were saying about the ending (singular, I'm colour blind...;))

Hi! This is my first post in the forum (I didn't think I'll ever use the EA account so don't pay attention to my nickname :P).

First of all I want to report for the European fleet! (Writting from Spain so forgive if my english sucks a little)

When I saw those crappy endings with space magic I was devastated. The trilogy which I've loved for so many years suddenly was turned to shreds and I lost any appetite for replaying any of the three games. Then I came to the forum and that apathy turned into happiness. That's thanks for all of you "entitled gamers" because I saw I was not alone, that people was complainning and that I had a right to complain too, because you people are making gaming history not only showing that we aren't just ATM machines for the companys but clients intelligent enough to know when something is a rip-off. Also because of the Child's play donation. I don't know if we'll get another ending but in the worst case we'll have collected thousands of dollars for charity. That speaks greatly of everyone of you.

I wanted to say that imo there are three possible outcomes for this:

The neural green: Bioware launchs a DLC with the actual/new/rewritten endings. We have to pay more money to get the game to an ending so it's a rip-off BUT at least the ME trilogy will be remembered in a good way and not as "The worst way to ruin a story". I'd have to think hard about buying anymore Bioware products.

The rebel red: Bioware says the ending is fixed and tell us to go **** ourselves. ME3 will be remembered in a bitter way as a fail and a rip-off. (But reading some of the interviews to the ME staff it doesn't seem like they care as long as it's remembered.) I won't ever buy anything from them again and I hope I won't be the last one.

The paragon blue: Bioware launchs a FREE DLC with the actual/new/rewritten endings. Bioware is like "We were kidding! We were your friends aaall along!!". We are all gratefull and, as far as I'm concerned, Bioware keep to be one of my favorite game developers and they show they really care about their fans.

Anyway I think all this silence and witty comments from them are just like "Let's buy some time so the Japanese have time to buy some games". It seems that we stopped existing when we handed our money to them,

Sorry for the long post but after 24 hours waitting to be able to post I had so many thing I wanted to say.

Hold the line and help the children!

Welcome aboard and we'll try to get you some potatoes!  Hold the line.

Supply trade? ... i could do with a drink.... and Chakwas..... :?

Well, I've got the engineering team putting together a little braai (or barbeque, as my UK brothers and sisters know it) kit for us, so that's quite the evening we can have out here.... and I'm fairly sure that the good doctor will be joining us in spirit, if not in body (and brandy!)

SSV Newcastle is up to that ^_^ although... we should try to keep "the good doctor" away from the drink....

The Irish fleet can't report for duty until after St. Patrick's Day on Saturday when we count how much of our forces we inadvertently crashed into giant ditches following a "healthy" night out on Omega.

I know that it's quite a large bid I'd like to ask, but could someone who speaks Japanese give a brief summary of what's going on in their forums?

Hahah, I speak Japanese.
I posted something about it around...3 pages ago. And I made a whole summary about it like...200 pages ago lol

But anyways, in short they are complaining that they did a lot up until this point and all the options they get are the same: destroy everything and the mass relays will disappear. They also say that whatever they choose, it will end the same way, so it is pointless.

I would translate more, but I need to go to class in 5min, so when I come back (in about  2 hrs), I will read more and post more about it.

Keep holding the line until then! ;)

Ze Germans are also pretty PO'd about the ending.

One quote I just read was:

-Digestif

Basically, he is saying that Hudson's defence is very questionable. ME is supposedly art, and that people need to accept that they do what they want. But art isn't released in fragmented pieces. Picasso didn't paint 3/4 of Guernica only to finish the other quarter seperately. Bioware needs to decide if they are making art or they are making a product to push DLCs. Art comes as a whole, and handy packages for 10€ each.

It's a pathetic attempt to get money ($3) out of us. NOT happening. This app that the post is talking about is solidfying not buying DLC for me until the ending thing is cleared up

Yeah.  I'm done.  Sorry, folks, this is too much.  I'm glad I donated to Child's Play, and it's been awesome seeing how many people care about this game, and chose to express how they feel and what they think in a thoughtful, civilized manner.

I will wait to hear some official word, but I think it's become clear what that word will be.  I will hold off on cancelling my SWTOR account until that word comes.  Maybe, as the "Shred of hope" note, I will be pleasantly surprised.  But I'm too disgusted with this right now.  Farewell, Bioware.  It was a nice ride while it lasted.

SSV Philadelphia mayday, mayday all systems are nonfu

QFT.  Although I am a little saddened that no other journalists have dared to call us entitled in the last while, I had a very nice long-winded polemic ready.

This is my first time posting. Never have a felt so strongly about a video game. The end for me was spoiled before I played it, but I still did it and now I'm sorry. This series was great and it ended on a whimper and not just any whimper but a confused mess of one. As I watched the end the question mark over my head kept getting bigger and bigger.

The end was very depressing to me because it left me with so many questions and now I am constantly going through all the forums for good news because some how the small thread of hope I still have will not die. I'm just trying to figure out if continuing to play MP is worth it to keep up my Galaxy readiness if there will be nothing to be ready for. I mean it is kind of a pain to have to play everyday, although, everyone has been really nice.

I just want some answers and soon!

Wait so the squadmates that came with you we supposed to die in the beam? Then why in gods name did you make them teleport onto the normandy? You replaced a sad scene with a giant plot hole even when the entire ending is crushingly depressing anways? WTF!!!!
