I understand that it can take a while for a DLC to come out, but I would hope they would make a statement very soon on whether they'll decide to fix up the endings.

Im damned if im gunna give in now, knowing such as we do now im more convinced than ever we can change the ending. The argument before was consumers infringing on artistic license now we know there was absolutly no artistic merit in it whatso ever we can actualy push foward.

That's the spirit...

Keep it up..

You know, I actually prefer this. If they'd seriously been planning to troll us with a deliberately "ambiguous" (read: awful) ending only to release a DLC to change/expand it later down the line, I would be disgusted. I much prefer that the current ending is the result of a swing and a miss, not manipulating the consumer and then trying to make us pay for the real endgame.

Again, this show is not an official statement from Bioware, it was made before the game came out, it just looks really bad in the context of this protest. Keep calm and hold the line.

Wow, just....wow. I'm not giving up, but I'm done paying for anything from Bioware and EA. I'll buy the DLC if they sell it to me just to have proper closure to my story, but wow. I can find way better ways to spend my money than put it into this nonsense.

I don't normally post very often, on any forum, but this is not something we can give up on, folks! If a series this good can make an introvert like me come out and post, it's got to be worth fighting for!

The Mass Effect series is potentially the greatest trilogy of RPG games to have ever been released... Not because of great graphics, or awesome gameplay, but because it's telling an epic story, one where our choices, and our decisions are seen to have an impact, and make a difference in the game world... What's happened at the end of the third game has left many of us with the sensation that everything we've done up until that point - every action, every decision, every thought - and rendered it all for naught... and as if to add insult to injury, takes most of what we know about the world, and simply pushes it all to one side in favour of options which have very little in the way of discernable distinctions...

What we're fighting for here isn't a perfect ending, just one that gives more closure to this chapter of the ME universe. If my FemShep has to die, then that is a sacrifice that she would make, but it would be something on her terms, and not as a result of the choice forced upon her by Harbingers "Mini Me"...

/end rant

We don't stop, we don't give up, we keep holding!

but... but what about my little blue children?

I think it's time for a boycott of EA/Bioware games. Let me explain why.

Instead of giving us a straight answer towards why the ending happened, or whether there would be additional content, they told us to wait.

They told us to wait, until the $3 app came out that explained some 'creative thinking' behind the ending. In short: "If you want an answer as to why, here, buy another product explaining it." That's such a betrayal of their loyal fan base that they need to think about the EFFECTS of what they do. I don't know about you, but retake ME3 facebook needs a 'Boycott Bioware' page now, expressing how money central they've become at the cost of their talent, fans, and intelligence.

Why do I bother BUYING them?

Same boat as you guys think I'm gonna trade in ME3 this weekend:( and was gonna buy some of the action figures but think I'm just gonna spend the money elsewhere and not buy a bioware game again

We should keep our copies untill at least they release a definitive statement saying that's the end of ME3, thanks for your money and goodbye. When that happens, man the harpoons and fire.

I wonder if that "Lots of speculation from everyone" is a clue about a sequel (or DLC, or something), or is it the old adage: "there's no news like bad news". Maybe they think that, in the end, all that is just publicity; is just BW's name on the news.

You just call us a "vocal minority" and grab the benefit from all the free publicity.

Let's make it clear. If that is the end, I won't buy more BW games. But I bet lot's of people, even furious now, would just buy again and again. So, what's in stake for them?

From an entriely different game, but it fits so nicely. Tweaked and changed it a bit, mainly the last  sentence.

The healthy human mind doesn't wake up in the morning thinking this
is its last day on Earth. But I think that's a luxury, not a curse. To
know you're close to the end is a kind of freedom. Good time to
take...inventory. [...] Out-gunned. Outnumbered. Out of our minds. On a
suicide mission. But the sand and the rocks here, stained with thousands
of years of warfare... They will remember us. For this. Because out of
all our vast array of nightmares, this is the one we choose for
ourselves. We go forward like a breath exhaled from the Earth. With
vigor in our hearts and one goal in sight: We. Will. Change. The. Ending.

Captain Price is on our side.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking about good ol'Captain Price :P

Don't worry, i will hold the line together with you guys

JETZT ERST RECHT!!! HOLD THE LINE

Damn straight! No one give in yet. There's no reason to just call it quits, even if they flat out say no we should not fall silently. The truth of the matter is that we're all here for the same reason. We're all here because we, the CUSTOMER, are unhappy with the product because it was not what was promised. Artistic license only carries you so far, and the truth of the matter is we all think their "vision" is far worse than 20/20 on this matter.

Don't give in, don't give up. Do this for the principle of the matter. Hold The Line!

Please tell me they're joking. That no one at Bioware would think that releasing apps during such a massive customer outrage, instead of addressing the valid concerns of their customers, was a good idea. That massive middle finger they gave their customers just got bigger...Will still hold the line though. They can't ignore such a gathering of mass anger, outrage and dissappointment forever.

He didn't say anything like that, he said Mass Effect was the best universe since Star Wars, and that Bioware destroyed Mass Effect.

I've harboured some thoughts on those lines myself. What if they didn't know how to end it so instead thought that they'd give us something to sink our teeth into and when the emotion and love and support came out they'd be table to take some inferences from what is turning out to be a very positive reaction and turn it into some decent ending choices or epilogues.

But then again, if this is truly the case, what happened to the BioWare I knew from long ago?
