In fact, if this is how they think me3 should go down, they better go back and start revising all their sales projections for DA3 and beyond. Burning the core sales pool is a monumentally bad idea in the name of trying to keep it real, real artistic. Sad thing is now this will also affect my desire to purchase mass effect statues from kotobukiya and I was secretly hoping sideshow would have something. Now I doubt I will buy any of that cause the hurt is just so deep. It's a kind of hurt that only betrayal can elicit and stays with you for a long time.

Honestly I'm shocked about the Final Hour stuff. It just doesn't seem to make sense to me thatthey were doing this. It would have been better to keep quiet. Prehaps we can't do anything for Mass Effect, prehaps not. But either way we need to not give up here. If only to make an example to other dev companies to not make the massive mistake Bioware has here. So don't give up and hold the line. It may be stubborn defiance but I am feeling totally ripped off here. I regret not waiting a week before buying my copy of mass effect 3. Either way all I can do is refuse to buy more of their products and advise my friends to do the same if it comes to it.

Also to the PAX East Platoon sounds like you people have some major work cut out for you vs the Bioware pannels.

I can't believe they thought this ending was a good idea. I find that so amazing that they could create a masterpiece of a universe, and sabotage it with the most hackneyed, cliche ending you could possibly create.

3 games worth of choices mean nothing. Unreal.

They've launched a $3 app in which they show some of the development of the game. In it they say that the ending is just as they wanted it.

Remember people: This whole thing was put together BEFORE the game was released. This is NOT an indication that our concerns can't push them towards action now that they game is out to consumers.

Also, let's make sure to not start throwing insults at Bioware. Let's continue to be civil and respectful as we have been up the entire time. If they see we're being civil then they'll be more likely to take our concerns seriously.

Don't give in people! I know this sucks and everyone is as frustrated as you, but don't squander all the hard work we have done so far. Even if we lose the war, WE WILL WIN THE BATTLE!

OK, observation/musing time;

The indication is that they thought the ending we have was 'good enough' at the time. What it does NOT tell us is if someone at BW realised they might well have made the mother of all mistakes between this decision having been made and the release.

To put this another way it does NOT eliminate either the possibility that someone at BW decided to start some work on an alternate ending 'just in case'. Nor the possibility of BW going back to alter the ending if there is enough outrage.

Unless they have been lobotomised it will have started to dawn on them that with some 90%+ of all players indicating total dissatisfaction with the ending, and with the news getting out worldwide, that they are going to take crippling loses not just with ME3 DLC but with each and every game they try to release after this.

DA2 was already a disaster, the SWMMO didn't do anything like as well as they'd hoped so they HAVE to make ME3 work or end up going out of business. As things stand next to no-one is going to even look at DA3 or anything else they churn out...AND they are going to end up loosing players on the MMO.

Gotta give it to Bioware though that they are skilled enough to make a trilogy so amazing that it creates such a huge fanbase and then end it off with an ending so terrible that their loving fans don't want to play their games ever again. Darwin award?

Same boat as you guys think I'm gonna trade in ME3 this weekend:( and was gonna buy some of the action figures but think I'm just gonna spend the money elsewhere and not buy a bioware game again

Yea I'm conflicted about it if they say their done with it might just mail my copy to them and say you can have it back or trade it in but then some one might buy it and be crushed like us

I've read that the answer in Japan is most like ours. In 2chan the topics are much as in this forum.

Already too late for some of us, my brother played this mess on XBox and doesn't have an internet connection on it, so nothing could save his ME experience, no matter what.

After finishing the game, he took the DVD, put it back into the case, carried the case outside into his backyard and shot it with his crossbow...
