There’s no point in releasing DLC a year after your game has come out when most people have already sold your game back to GameStop three times. That means getting it out early; that means even day-one DLC. That is a terrible thing to some players. Players rant–they know nothing about this DLC that’s coming out except its name. But then it’s ‘oh this game must be incomplete, the game must be ruined.’ Game developers are not evil. (Some are evil.) But most are not evil.
We just want to release awesome stuff. Players please, give us a chance. Judge our games based on what they are. Judge the DLC based on what it is. Stop thinking you’re a producer and telling us when and where we should be building our content.

We don't know how many dollars they have made off of the games -- thousands, hundreds of thousands.
Its not important.
What matters is this: Not one more.
That's what we can do, here today.
It ends with us.
They want to know what were made of ?
I say we show them, on our terms.
Let's bring the ending the game deserves home.

Is "Mass Effect: The Final Hours" representing Biowares opinon regarding the ending discussion?
Mayby the answer if enough people ask there. It's nut insulting or anything. But we need to know.
And don't spam. One time is enough.

I'm wondering does anyone have an estimate as to how large a part of the consumer (not fan) base we are?
I mean, will we boycotting it even be more than an annoyance?
no, but how about this 40k people have voiced their opinion on how the end stunk....conservatively 30k will not be buying dlc for ME3.....assuming nothing changes.....
most likely 3 $10 dlc's and 2 $5 weapon and appearance packs were planned.....
so....that's roughly $500k lost off the bottom line just from DLC not purchased
factor in, people not willing to buy DA3, subscription cancellation and whatnot, and other upcoming bioware releases your easily looking into the millions....

So what will BioWare and EA do about it? Probably this, since, according to Shack News, earlier this week at GDC former designer and programmer of the Mass Effect franchise, Christina Norman, stated:
"There’s no point in releasing DLC a year after your game has come out when most people have already sold your game back to GameStop three times. That means getting it out early; that means even day-one DLC. That is a terrible thing to some players. Players rant–they know nothing about this DLC that’s coming out except its name. "We just want to release awesome stuff. Players please, give us a chance. Judge our games based on what they are. Judge the DLC based on what it is. Stop thinking you’re a producer and telling us when and where we should be building our content."

Remember people: This whole thing was put together BEFORE the game was released. This is NOT an indication that our concerns can't/haven't push/pushed them towards action now that they game is out to consumers.
Also, let's make sure to not start throwing insults at Bioware. Let's continue to be civil and respectful as we have been up the entire time. If they see we're being civil then they'll be more likely to take our concerns seriously.

I feel like I watched the "endings" once again... all the hope our fight gave me is basically gone =/
The chances they will change anything after actually showing this is what they intended everything to be like... are nearly naught. The same arrogance that let them think these endings were a good idea will keep them from changing them for us.
I can imagine how they are probably seeing us as just "momentarly pissed off", thinking, and being probably right, how most people here will end up buying their next game anyway if they make it sound interesting enough to lure them back...
I'll hold the line... but my will has been blown off, I feel like a husk =_=
Moments like this give meaning to our motto. What does it mean to persist when things are grim? We have to keep together and keep pushing our message until we can't anymore. Hold the line.

They launched an app that for three bucks shows part of the development of the game. They say they like the ending. Also basically admit that they came up with it at the last second.
The same with Tali's pic.
Needless to say the Internet is ablaze.
Our charity thing-thing is close to 50.000 dollars. No kiddding.
We have also agreed-sort-of to boycott Bioware.

I think it's time for a boycott of EA/Bioware games. Let me explain why.
Instead of giving us a straight answer towards why the ending happened, or whether there would be additional content, they told us to wait.
They told us to wait, until the $3 app came out that explained some 'creative thinking' behind the ending. In short: "If you want an answer as to why, here, buy another product explaining it." That's such a betrayal of their loyal fan base that they need to think about the EFFECTS of what they do. I don't know about you, but retake ME3 facebook needs a 'Boycott Bioware' page now, expressing how money central they've become at the cost of their talent, fans, and intelligence.
No, we are speaking up as customers not players. We are asking for our rights, not begging for their charity.
And I have been a fan of Bioware/Black Isle for a very long time, and I doubt many of you have been as loyal as I have for a longer period. (I have every single release and all but 2 DLCs)
The problem is that enough is enough. They made a fool of us in DA2 and took no responsabilities for their actions. Now they once again try to make a fool of us in ME3, and they just want us to forget and keep buying their products for the sake of buying ...
I say NO! Either they come up with a proper apology to the customer base/fans and a logical explanation to the whys and hows of their mistakes, or this is it for me and many others..
This is not a boycot, we are not asking anyone to STOP buying BIOWARE products, we are not demanding anything in return. All we are saying is that IF THEY ARE UNABLE to deliver what they SHOULD deliver, there is no reason for any of us to keep buying from them, since we will know for sure their product will always be sub par and unfinished...
This is the line we must hold..
SO, HOLD THE LINE PEOPLE!!
There are several hundret posts in this thread who say something like "please remain civil", and a boycot is anything but civil.
I admit, "all" I have from bioware is MDK2, whole ME triology (except books and comics and the ME1 dlc), so I can't say about the DA series.
Thing is, Commander chinFuzz said boycot, and I disagree on that.
You said something else where I can sympathise with.
