We knew this was going to be an uphill fight! So what if it's a little more uphill than we thought! Hold that line!

PEOPLE PLEASE STOP THE VANDALSM ON CASEYS ARTICLE ON WIKIPEDIA

---------------------------------------------------EMERGENCY---------------------------------------------

That all falls back on us. Thats not the message of our movements.

I know it seems funny and a lot will see it as that. And its not our way.

I beg you. Stop this.

So far HOLD THE LINE

Let me clarify that I'm not the one who changed his page. So calm yourself my friend. I am only posted the change in the forum.... and I'm not the first to do so. Trust me I know that's not the message we want percieved.... I'VE said that myself on several occasions. The point is that we are not the only ones fighting this fight. Just lighten up a bit and relax. This is going to be a long uphill battle... you have to take the moments when you can.

Nah, you get me wrong. Doing this was funny and stuff. But you saw what happened.
Call me and other the damage control team.
Such actions fall back on us. Like in Mass Effect (except the final in part 3) such things have consequences.
And I predicted bad ones. :?

Not sure if anyone else posted it but our child's play drive just hit $49,000 recently. Only $1,000 more and we just gave children an entire cycle's worth of cash, something to be proud about I'd think.

I think it's probably safe to assume that the people posting in here and who are contributing to this cogent debate along with donating to charity are not the same people who are flaming at mods, jumping to conclusions (well there was some of that here but not much) and editing wikipedia pages (unless to remove what other clowns are putting up).

I think that the who mods are watching this thread and will come to the same conclusion quite easily.

So far, apart from a couple of posts, one for each of those other forums, including the one asking for feedback on the game (which i have a fair response btw), I ´ve only posted in this thread...

IT is hard enough to keep up with everything that is going on in here alone. I would go nuts if I had to keep up with 3+ threads like this...

Now Bioware please give us expanded endings DLC or patch.

After seeing the info on that app, it's pretty much made me lose faith in Bioware. How they possibly though that the ending would be good and people wouldn't be upset at the fact that everything that did meant absolutely nothing in the end. That whole thing about keeping the conversation on a higher level with the Star Child just made me facepalm. There was no higher level... it was "Here, you have no hope, choose one of these three options and save your people now, but dooming them to a slow death.... oh, and you have to die, too, unless you want to kill your new synthetic friends, of course. Then there's a slight chance you'll make it... Joker will hate you for life, though."

I just went and canceled my SWTOR account (haven't played in a month anyway) and I will no longer be pre-ordering anything from Bioware in the future.

Teams, keep your language and actions in check.

What we're seeing is either Bioware throwing a hissy-fit because they gave out information and now it's got the community raging, or they're doing this to mow us down. Chances are that Bioware hasn't gone soft in the last few days.

It's textbook guerilla-political tactics: Make the other side angry, and watch their supporters dwindle. Peer pressure will win this for us, I assure you all of that. If we destroy our reputation, then we lose all of our support and thus we will lose. Everyone, keep your rear-ends in line and ignore anything that even remotely weakens our point. Agression will break our lines and ultimately will make this a 1066-style resolution. We don't want that. We want to salvage this franchise before it becomes unsaveable. If you really care for the future of Mass Effect, you'll keep calm in the face of adversity and remain holding this line AS A GROUP for as long as it takes. In the end, violence and threats only lessens our cause.

Hold this line, no matter what the hell flies our way. I know that I will.
Good luck,
Grover and out.

Nah.  They've been -really- tolerant of some pushing the boundaries on this thread the last few days.  Our batallion is doing an excellent job of keeping discipline on the line.

Let's show that BSN Batallion is top!  Wikipedia Batallion and Twitter Batallion will have to soul search after this conflict is over and question if they really held to the standards they expected others to hold themselves to.

Personally I may falter, I may mistep.. but I know with everyone in this fantastic community at my side they'll keep me in check.

Hold the line! \\o.

OK, Important points about the App that got everyone in an uproar;

1; It was NOT made by Bioware, and therefore is NO WAY any statement from them about the ending of the game. In fairness this wasn't clear initially since the app was being advertised through Bioware.

2; The 'notes' were written SIX MONTHS before the game was released and in NO WAY indicate that the development team did not consider alternate endings after this point. It is quite possible that they realised that the ending left a lot to be desired, but the release date simply did not allow them time to make any changes before the game was shipped out.

2a; The App is copyrighted and CAN NOT be duplicated without permission in any shape or form.

3; It does NOT in any shape or form indicate that BW is either unwilling or unable to change the ending via DLC. It therefore changes NOTHING and never did.

Please keep things civil and mature (well, ok, fairly mature....).

Keep holding the line!

Southern California, SSV Bonsai reporting back in. Good to see you all again and I do hope that the temporary ban was a cold water bucket over the flamers, trolls and otherwise inconsiderate peoples.

In order to be taken seriously we must act appropriately. It's fine to feel upset, after all that is why we have all been brought together, but we are here to make a positive change - a new chance at new endings. To have that positive ending we must be courteous to the wonderful artists who made the game. They did fantastically up until the end - it's not that they've all suddenly turned into demons trying to crush all the fanboy/girl dreams. They are still the same people who brought us all that fantastic stuff - Mordin's death, revenge on Kai Leng, Kalros taking down a Reaper.

We want a better ending. It it our goal and our only goal. It is the reason why we hold the line. Sabotage and malicious acts will get us nowhere - it only leads to bad things. Please try to be civil and remember, we're all in this together so don't ruin it for everyone.

I posted this already, but it got buried.

Since the app proves beyond all reasonable doubt that the two squadmates with you running to the beam definitely die, doesn't that back up the indoctrination theory? Since both squadmates can and have appeared on the Normandy, even if you saw their dead bodies.

Mr Churchill did have a few good lines, and held more than a few.

Please try to keep things civil and polite. If you lose your temper, step away from the keyboard - raging online will only make things worse.

What dip****s idea was it to **** with Casey Hudsons Wiki article? :pinched: Thank god it was removed.

Back to topic:

Read somewhere about Bioware not changing the endings cause they where intentional...well...this just sucks big time.

Since I got my first PC in 1998 Bioware Games where always my first choice - and they never ever disappointed. I own many games from them but this trust ends now.

I kicked some god-wannabe ass together with Minsc, Jaheira and Imoen - Gorion would be proud. (RIP Black Isle - Icewind Dale and Planescape will also never be forgotten!) (Terminsel would have liked Space Magic...Boo...not so much. :wizard:)

Rocked Neverwinter together with Aribeth.

Gave Revan his identity back.

Got all BAM-Lee on the Jade Empire.
...
and then came Shepard. He was to be the greatest of them all. Together with all those unique NPC's he met on his(/my) way. Till those endings ****ed it up.

I wanted to play the Dragon Age Games after his story was finished. Or go back to save the Old Republic. Now...now I won't buy those games...and I canceled my abo.

Good job Bioware. You can be so proud of yourself. A nearly perfect game. But as the saying goes: Near enough is not good enough.

Also the answer to life is 42.

Yeah but the question is buggered up due to a load of telephone santisers.

Where are the space kids? If there are no randomly appearing Space Kids the endings not artistic or memorable.
