Save me a seat, I think I might need more than one before I return to holding the line.

What dip****s idea was it to **** with Casey Hudsons Wiki article? :pinched: Thank god it was removed.

Back to topic:

Read somewhere about Bioware not changing the endings cause they where intentional...well...this just sucks big time.

Since I got my first PC in 1998 Bioware Games where always my first choice - and they never ever disappointed. I own many games from them but this trust ends now.

I kicked some god-wannabe ass together with Minsc, Jaheira and Imoen - Gorion would be proud. (RIP Black Isle - Icewind Dale and Planescape will also never be forgotten!) (Terminsel would have liked Space Magic...Boo...not so much. :wizard:)

Rocked Neverwinter together with Aribeth.

Gave Revan his identity back.

Got all BAM-Lee on the Jade Empire.
...
and then came Shepard. He was to be the greatest of them all. Together with all those unique NPC's he met on his(/my) way. Till those endings ****ed it up.

I wanted to play the Dragon Age Games after his story was finished. Or go back to save the Old Republic. Now...now I won't buy those games...and I canceled my abo.

Good job Bioware. You can be so proud of yourself. A nearly perfect game. But as the saying goes: Near enough is not good enough.

Language please. We were just reminded to watch our tongues. I understand you're upset and you have some great points but we must remain vigilant.

Since the app proves beyond all reasonable doubt that the two squadmates with you running to the beam definitely die, doesn't that back up the indoctrination theory? Since both squadmates can and have appeared on the Normandy, even if you saw their dead bodies.

It doesn't prove this.
The scene was cut from the game.

I KNOW the scene where Garrus and Liara visibly die is cut from the game, but if your EMS is low enough you can see your squadmates bodies on the ground. Both your squadmates therefore die...

And they STILL appear on the Normandy. If the indoctrination theory is definitely incorrect (and it might still not be) then it's a huge bug.

I'm really at a point now where I think they intentionally made it look like it could be indoctrination to cause this kind of speculation. Which is so cheap.

SSV Midwest, Sacred here.
found this quote and thought it would do us all some good.

"Never give in - never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."
- Winston Churchill

Let's keeping holding the line.

Mr Churchill did have a few good lines, and held more than a few.

Please try to keep things civil and polite. If you lose your temper, step away from the keyboard - raging online will only make things worse.

He was a great speaker, and he held his lines with everything he had.

I'm hoping that the keep civil and polite comment is just for everyone, and not directed at me(cause I've been nothing but civil and polite while on here.)

Remember people Paragon choices, and Keep Holding the Line.

SSV Midwest, Sacred reporting.

I wonder whether some of the voice actors are seeing all of this fan feedback... It musn't be fun to be associated with this game right now. Wonder if some of them could support us for a better ending...

... Hell, a number of the voice actors have retweeted the charity
drive.

I'm guessing that they do know about it. I would be curious to see what ends they would support us, though I'm also wondering if they're bound by part of their contract not to speak ill of the game.

i'd assume most of those bets are off after their contract is up or the game is released worldwide....i'm sure if they want to keep working with bioware they wouldn't be inflamatory...

Aat... Haven't seen a contract that does not have a clause. Forget that thought. I must say they did do a great job, all of them. Cudos and hats off! i did think about them when I was watching a vid on you tube of how the ending credits should have been with some different music, great vid. If you haven't seen some, mosey on over and take a look.

Ask them how to teleport like they did at the end, might come in handy one day.

Or the IMG link on photobucket. When you copy and past it hit the BBCode button until it shows up. I couldn't get the [img] brackets to work for me because I'm technologically deficient.

OK, Important points about the App that got everyone in an uproar;

1; It was NOT made by Bioware, and therefore is NO WAY any statement from them about the ending of the game. In fairness this wasn't clear initially since the app was being advertised through Bioware.

2; The 'notes' were written SIX MONTHS before the game was released and in NO WAY indicate that the development team did not consider alternate endings after this point. It is quite possible that they realised that the ending left a lot to be desired, but the release date simply did not allow them time to make any changes before the game was shipped out.

2a; The App is copyrighted and CAN NOT be duplicated without permission in any shape or form.

3; It does NOT in any shape or form indicate that BW is either unwilling or unable to change the ending via DLC. It therefore changes NOTHING and never did.

Please keep things civil and mature (well, ok, fairly mature....).

Keep holding the line!

This needs to be seen.

Thank you :)

Shameless bump since things move so quickly it is easy to miss such posts.

Whoops, another plot hole.

I wouldn't say they definately die. Yeah, they are if you see their dead bodies, which occurs if you have low EMS, but their absence, should your EMS is high enough, implies to me that they survived.

Finally, ending a trilogy that people cherished and invested in with a dialogue box saying ‘congratulations you beat the Reapers, now buy DLC’ is bordering on obscene, and is an insult to our intelligence.

Thanks.

Agreed.

I highly suspect to be insulted yet again when I'm asked to pay for the actual ending of the game.

Whether you believe its real or indoctrination, the end isn't real. It had inconsistent bugs that must be fixed before I would even accept it as real. Fix my game and make the current ending make sense, or give me the real ending.

Negative. Low EMS squadmates can be seen dead after Harbinger's hit. But they can also be seen exiting the Normandy at the end.

High EMS squadmates can be seen, too. On my 2nd playthrough, I had 6500 EMS, they were still dead on the ground. And yes, one of the got off the normandy at the end.

More importantly for the indoctrination theory is that they planned an indoctrination portion of the game where the player could not control shepard's body. Giving us control of the body but no real choices and no real information allows for them to do this in an even more effective way.

However, since this is the case, and the ending was supposed to be this way, it is safe to assume there is no DLC in the works.

Do I hold the line simply because I have nothing left to hold on to?

This is how i feel, we must give in and be reaped, it must be peaceful to be at ease and let the cycle continue( the horrible endings continue)

Reapers promise immortality of the most unique part of us. Maybe it isn't so bad.
