This.
Ok that was hilarious. Poor Shields he came so far.
Shields is not dead! He just changed place after the first shot with it´s Brother Health.
Because he was already in the Beam he knew what was coming, he tried to warn us, now he´s in his hideout making a new, better, memorizable, worthy ending!
Shields will be Legend when he comes out with it!
Until then Hold the line!

the news about the App is a big shot to my troops moral...
i don't know if i can hold the line any more.... i know that there is still hope (even if is so little) but i don't trust BW enough to hope in an ending DLC....
i think i will go play Deus Ex... at least there the endings made sense... and was not just a matter of color and space magic...
enjoy... (i'm not, seriously...)

I still believe the indoctrination theory, until I'm told that my visibly dead squadmates getting off the ship at the end is a bug.

Hmm anyboody thought about the fact that they only show the ending we know in that final hours app, maybe just maybe, they really have other pages with a real ending and that they will really realease as a free DLC
That is a hope we have, but until it's been confirmed or deniened all we can do is Hold the Line.

the app is not from bioware, it's from one single developer. bioware just gave the OK to use the in-development blueprintsTamiBx wrote...
I refuse to learn the truth about the ending through an app that I have to pay for. I will only stop when they come out and make an official statement. We deserve it.
Also, just because they didn't plan any of this(indoctrination theory, trolling, etc) in the beginning doesn't mean they can't use it. They know that only a few amount of ME3 fans liked the ending, so they can still use that in their favor to fix it.

Well let's see... There was an app released on the produciton of Mass Effect 3 which has been discounted by Bioware as not being released by them. As far as we know, nothing in there can be considered substantial evidence, however some are losing hope because of it. Some person was vandalizing Casey(or was it Chris?) wiki page and the forum got temperarly shut down because of it.
And I think that's it. Have I missed something?

But, a couple thousand page thread in their own forum and a fundraiser should go a long way to letting them know just how badly things went.

More importantly for the indoctrination theory is that they planned an indoctrination portion of the game where the player could not control shepard's body. Giving us control of the body but no real choices and no real information allows for them to do this in an even more effective way.
However, since this is the case, and the ending was supposed to be this way, it is safe to assume there is no DLC in the works.
Do I hold the line simply because I have nothing left to hold on to?
Reapers promise immortality of the most unique part of us. Maybe it isn't so bad.
Personally, i believe my shep wold have better things to do than be turned into some odd offshoot of "Soilent Green ".

Hello,
I like many of you, have never posted in these forums before – I prefer to sit and listen, so speak. However, like many of you, my unhappiness and disappointment has spurred me to add to the discussion going on here. It’s the apparent belief on the part of Bioware that the ending created “lots of speculation from everyone” that I really have a problem with.
To begin with, the idea that everybody is, or should be, ‘speculating’ about the ending right now shows a remarkable lack of understanding. In order to speculate about something, you must first have a solid base to extrapolate from – an idea, or a truth that you understand and that makes sense. What people are doing at the moment is desperately trying to find some understanding where there is none to be had, because nothing about the ending as it stands makes any sense in relation to the contents of the game. Without that understanding it is impossible to speculate, because there is no basic understanding of an idea to expand upon: people are feeling empty because there is simply nothing there of any substance.
We don’t have this basic understanding to build on because, apparently, we simple video game consumers didn’t need to know the answers to any of the rather essential questions we would have asked. How can we speculate on anything when the material required to do so is something we didn’t need to know?
Secondly, the insidious implication that this lack of understanding is somehow the fault of us, the consumer. The fundamental truth here is that when information is being communicated, the onus is on the person doing to the communicating to make sure that their audience understands what they are trying to tell them. It is the job of Bioware as the creator of a video game, an interactive product, to communicate the ideas behind and in the game to us effectively, so we can understand and enjoy the product. When a huge number of your consumers, from all ages, levels of education, nations and language groups simply don’t understand what you are trying to say to them, then it is your failure, not ours.
Finally, ending a trilogy that people cherished and invested in with a dialogue box saying ‘congratulations you beat the Reapers, now buy DLC’ is bordering on obscene, and is an insult to our intelligence.
Thanks.
this +1 agree 100%
I'll give it one more bump. Excellent points, that I agree with. You want to get people talking give them something to talk about. To debate over, to share different outcomes with. That's all we ask. Material to work with.

The Final Hour (Making of Mass Effect 3 app) was released, and it showed that the ending we got was the intented ending, and that it was put in the game because they figured it was good enough. After that there was a lot of rude and unnessecary comments and such against BioWare in other threads (not by any of us here in this thread as far as I know though), and the spoiler section of the forums was shut down to remind everyone about the site rules.

I posted this already, but it got buried.
Since the app proves beyond all reasonable doubt that the two squadmates with you running to the beam definitely die, doesn't that back up the indoctrination theory? Since both squadmates can and have appeared on the Normandy, even if you saw their dead bodies.
I wouldn't say they definately die. Yeah, they are if you see their dead bodies, which occurs if you have low EMS, but their absence, should your EMS is high enough, implies to me that they survived.
