That seems to be the common experience of this game. It's really sad how quickly a wonderful game goes completely off the rails with Space Magic. Let's hope we can convince Bioware & EA that changes need to be made!

The app that has caused this controversy IS NOT FROM BIOWARE. Stop yelling at us for making and charging you for an app. We did not make this it was done by Geoff Keighley. When I reopen this forum you are welcome to discuss the content in teh app in a rational manner.

I cannot comment on it as I have not downloaded or seen the app yet.

This forum will reopn soon once everyone has seen this.

And for the record Chris, please post this in the threadnaught or make a new forum topic next time, you scared the crap out of us

Someone should explain to the Bioware the tiny difference between an open ending and a nonsensical ending. Cause it seems they didnt got it.

just broke my heart. So we dont just have to see our hero die, we'll never know about his crew and friends. Even if he survives, we dont have the change to meet our LI or our friends...

Can't understand why the app thingy was that big of surprise. Game developing is hell if you've ever read about it no matter what company it is. Impossible deadlines, budget cuts, hundreds of hours of unpaid overtime. It was really no shock that everything happened the way it happened. We might have been pissed about the endings but I really, really doubt that was the intended effect. I also highly doubted before that this was a giant trick to get us to buy DLC and the app pretty much confirmed that. They did the best they could for flawed, overworked humans and we almost universally hated it. There's no one putting the finishing touches on the 'real' ending they're going to release. If such a thing ever is going to exist it won't be for some time.

But, a couple thousand page thread in their own forum and a fundraiser should go a long way to letting them know just how badly things went.

Indeedely. That's why I am always okay with delaying a release.

OK, Once again;

The app WAS NOT PRODUCED BY BIOWARE! It is NOT a statement from them in ANY shape or form.

The 'notes' in the app come from some SIX MONTHS BEFORE the game was released. As such they do NOTHING to confirm this was intended to be the 'true' ending of the game, nor that the development team was happy with the end result. It also doesn't remove the possibility of the dev's having tried to make a different ending, but simply not having the time to do so before the games release.

Guys the app changes nothing about the endings. The idea that this was some kind of publicity stunt made no sense as there was no way it could possibly garner goodwill to EA/Bioware.

As a result our purpose is the same as it always has been, to respectfully express the issues with the endings and appeal for some change to them. Tennessee fleet, holding the line.

Just want to add that if they really plan to end per dlc or patch then they sure as hell won't let that out trough some app many people never see. In that app are propably only things they want us to see!!!!!

I was ultimately right, about them not being vaporized, convinient time to master teleportation though.
