^This.  They didn't say they dropped the idea, just the sequence.  And since they said earlier in the quotes that they didn't want to hand everything to the player, they could have dropped it for us to figure out.  Still not cool with us having to figure it out, but it does lend some credence to the theory.

You know thinking about it, it is really amazing how many LURKERS have been goaded into speaking because of this awful ending. It is a testament to how much we all cared (still care) about the ME series, and it is a testament to how truly disillusioning the ending really was.

I'm a professional lurker myself and I've been talking my head off xD

I think it also hurts the whole "vocal minority" theory, because a good many of us are generally the ones who DON'T post on forums like this.

That is actually horrible. I couldn't bear that, especially as my LI is one of my permement squadmates. I spent the entire game wooing them just to watch Harby kill them? No thanks. Also Garrus dying is too upsetting.

Oh its horrific, and if I had my favourite squad with me I would probably reload. However it makes more sense they are dead, not left open to interpretation. And certainly not magically appearing on the Normandy.

I'm keeping my pre-selection London save.  Failing that, I have a save before the Cerberus station.

When I picked up Mass Effect 3 I was of the opinion that Bioware could have said "We need to overthrow the world and build space stations"... I probably would have gone out and bought a tank (can you even buy tanks?.. I would have tried!)..

I didn't expect the mass coming together of the global population to have happened in the way it did. It's so completely backwards from how it should be.. I should be yelling at Bioware to "TAKE MY MONEY FOR DLC"...

I'm not even sure I'm going to bother buying Bioware stuff anymore, if this turns out to be the finale for this amazing series I'm concerned with the editorial and literary oversight for future games. Now that this has gone global I'm hoping someone steps up and says "A complete story was the plan all along, not what you have", or "We screwed up. We got rushed, didn't have time to finish a product that you, our fans, expected, but we're going to fix that".

Ha, I was a lurker as well before the ending. Now i'm posting on here as well, Would be nice to see a movement from a fanbase like this actually turns up some good.

Agreed. I don't see why every game and movie now needs to be needlessly brutal and dark. Someone needs to give the entertainment industry some Zoloft.

I actually wouldve been fine with it if it were part of a Low EMS ending, with higher (or highest) EMS endings having them live.
