Talk about missing opportunity here. BW could easily gain a lot of support by just coming clean and saying: "we acknowledge the love our fans have demonstrated, and will work hard to give what they want". And release a whole new ME ending. It would get them the media support, fan support, and they could pose as the company that works hard to deserve the loyalty of the fans (which undeniably exists).

But doing nothing???

Exactly. There's an opportunity for a huge win on the part of Bioware, here, and they're squandering it.

Or this simply says that now that they have our money they do not care.

Thing is, they should care. Because if they don't, they're going to lose customers. And sales of their products.

Casey Hudson on after Mass Effect 3
"Whatever we do would likely happen before or during the events of Mass Effect 3, not after"

Yeah Casey, dream about it. We won't buy any DLC when you created a crappy end like that.

Guys, we just surpassed $50,000 raised for Child's Play.

Fantastic.

A toast!

Indeed.

It's comforting to know that even if they don't change the endings, we atleast helped some kids in need and made them happy  <3

Yay! No matter what happens something good came out of this whole thing.

"If you ran a restaurant and the food you served wasn’t any good, would you prefer to have your customers leave and never come back or would you prefer to hear their complaints and give you a second chance? Would you mockingly refer to them as “entitled” restaurant-goers? For that matter, are people who eat at your restaurant entitled to a good meal?" - from the most recent Forbes article on the Mass Effect endings

Exactly on point.

I'm not saying that is easy to do something about it. If they didn't really have something prepared, it would be spending a lot more money and resources. But sometimes you gotta stop and think what is the best course of action. Do something about it and swallow the bitter pill of learning a lesson, or just endure all the backlash and wait for the results: it could be catastrophic. Can you really bet your name on the possibility that the fans will just settle down and keep buying whatever you do, however you do it?

I think they shouldn't bet on it. But it's not up to me.

no matter if they have something prepared, if they just could say: "hold on guys, we understand your concerns, we will overwork the ending. stay tuned"
would make things clear. But these blurry answers are not gonna help it

Seeing as there is not an actual statement out there (just what Chris posted last night) I think it is safe to say they do not care and expect you to purchase whatever they put out.

Latest post from Facebook by Mass Effect 2:

We appreciate everyone’s feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know that we are listening. Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can’t get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game. Let’s also remember the man/woman that started this journey for us. What do you love most about your Commander Shepard? Please try to keep the discussion “spoiler-free."

So I just spent the last little while making this image. I know it's been done before but I wanted a nice high-resolution version of my own so I made one in Illustrator.

Also, when did this Marauder Shields idea come out? Because it's hilarious!

Would have been better if they had sent in Banshee Barrier instead of Marauder Shields. I'm sure she'd have done a better job preventing the ending.

So true.

As for the new Forbes article....I seriously love them. I can't believe Forbes is one of our War Assets....I would've never believed it if I didn't read it with my own eyes. Gawd, they're awesome.

No kidding!  The CEO of the company I worked at was asking me this morning if I knew anything about the game in his daily article hahaha.  Forbes is like wall street... maybe that's why Bioware keeps thinking we're a minority.. they're confusing us with the 1% ;)

Yea the guy at Forbes must be a gamer too as he understands the problem and has no qualms about speaking out. A real person not a puppet like some game reviewers (they get paid to review). However, he points out that it is his opinions and not that of Forbes. To me it doesn't matter. He's a credit to the community and Forbes.

I forgot to mention that articles like that are necessary in the financial section because it can affect a company's financial position. Analyses do look at this.

Don't know if they've been thrown up before but not one, not two, but three! new Forbes articles in our favor!

Paragons of Protest (re: the RetakeME3 Child's Play Campaign)

Did Casey Hudson Leave the Door Open to Change? (Not quite a response but it's something)

Entitled Gamers or Responsible Consumers? (Re: Us being spoiled brats)

It's nice to have authors who write for Forbes on our side as a cause isn't it?

Hold the line!

Edit: I'm just a tosser and didn't read up in the thread enough, please ignore me
