So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Beating the "Harbringer/Starchild" with 1/4in thick belt folded in half- would that count as abuse?
I'm just saying. Belt or bullet?
Anyways I am ignoring ME3 except on MP because I think the endings are plot-hole ridden, a rush job, and has no closure or importance to the player narrative. Reading everyone here and supporting the cause has lifted my spirits.
As to those trolls who like to say we feel "entitled". Nope. I feel cheated.

That's a little too rich for me - WE - folks like you and me - are unhappy with the ending we received. Now we're demanding BW spend countless hours and dollars of their time and money to produce a free ending? BW is not demanding a new ending - we are. I'm demanding a better ending BW didn't provide - then I'll pay for their work and their effort to please me. That is entirely fair.Vandriel wrote...

It's hilarious reading this thread really - most want a better ending - few are sure what the description of a better ending means. A quarter to a half demand Bioware produce a new ending they refuse to pay for and the other half says they'll gladly pay - I'm in the latter category.
Everyone uses - Hold the line - for what? A paid ending? A free ending? A new ending? More and more fan written ending popping up that will never see any light beyond this thread. Those I don't even bother to read - none of them mean anything unless BW decides to make one themselves. We're so fractured we don't even know what our demand is -
On the contrary.. We want an ending that meets the quality and standards that Bioware has come to be known for. We're united in our dislike for the current drivel that was spoonfed to us in the ending presented. They know they can deliver better, we know they can.. we're holding the line and not letting them off with a pass.
Holding the line for what? A free ending? An ending we pay for? Which?
For me, just an ending, an ending that makes sense. Free, paid, Happy, Sad, it makes no difference. I'm holding the line for closure, for something other than that "epilogue" (which it really isn't) with Buzz Aldrin.

I would say the Request not demand is for the choice we were told would be a part of the game to be a part of 100% of the game.
I also dont want to replace the current ones I just want more and I want a chance of choosing how the story of the shepard I created ends thats not an unreasonable thing to ask I think
I'm not sure it's really a request on my part.. I do demand excellence of Bioware. I demand a better ending than what they gave... it's right on my banner.. I don't demand a specific ending with unicorns, rainbow ponies and Miranda and Liara getting in a jealous shooting competition over how many indoctrinated they can kill (think Legolas and Gimli). I just want what I know bioware is capable of.. and this wasn't it.

Yes, there has actually been a lot written both here and in other articles, forums, etc. Too much to explain here. Go look at some articles. Forbes is a good source.

LOL I just noticed that.
Even though I doubt an ending DLC will include something like this....It would be awesome! Though I think they could include a similar scene without making it Disney-esque

No matter how hopeless things seem remember that it is better to fight and lose than to believe defeat is inevitable and not resist at all. And defeat is not assured, we actually have a chance to actually get some proper resolution, which just makes it all the more worth fighting for.
No matter what others say, no matter what cheap shots are taken at us, and no matter how much Bioware gives the naysayers a wink and a nudge we will be remembered for directing our negative energy into something positive and constructive, and we will all always remain comrades.
Exactly, and remember....What would Shepard do? He/She would fight for what they believe in, no matter what others say, no matter how slim the chance.

An ending period. Something that is better than what they gave us.. I realize it's kinda hard to wrap one's head around, it's not asking for as much as some are putting out there lol. We just want something that has the quality the rest of the GAME presented in it. Not 'red, green or blue', I want to know that the effort I put into the game is represented in the finale of it. I want to know that if I spent a gazillion hours getting everyone in the galaxy to freaken play nice that it stands for something, that it's not the end, that if my character has to die for something it's something worthwhile. I want to see National Shepard Day.. and not the sheep version.
Holding the line till we recieve a product that matches or exceeds the content and quality advertised by the publisher and developers. And we will not budge, until either that event happens, or Bioware tells its entire core customer base that it no longer cares what we want, and refuses to openly to taker any action to rectify the situation. At that point however, As consumers ( paying i might add ) we still have recourse available.. I simply and personally hope they do not persue that path..

Exactly, I don't care if it's paid for or if it's free. Whichever, I just want a better ending. And I'm not demanding they do anything, I'm appealing. "Holding the line" isn't about demanding or screaming at BW for a better ending, it's about not going away until we get a clear answer one way or the other about it. It's about showing a unified front.

Dang. I've been rummaging around after hearing about all fuss that happened, and holy jeez.
If I was a Bioware Producer I would be pissing my pants. The explosion of such fan outrage, and such universal outrage, was frightening.
This wasn't just holding the line. People got enraged and charged en masse. Then the mods had to shut down the site for half an hour in order for people to calm down. If anything, this demonstrates to the producers exactly how carefully they need to deal with this, and I can safely assume that more than a couple of people are actually considering closure DLC at this point.
The app that started the outrage was NOT produced by Bioware nor released by them. The parts of it that seem to show that the ending we have as exactly what BW wanted and were happy to make date from notes some six months prior to the release. This wasn't initially clear, since BW advertised the app on their offical FB and Twitter - I'm going to guess before they realised what it seemed to show.
This part of the board was shut down partly because of the anger some felt and posted, but mainly I think because copyrighted images from that app were being posted on here and had to be removed - which would have been impossible if everyone was still posting.
Shields took a major hit, but have regenerated close to their full strength now and we are still holding the line.
