Make that 7 days to me. Pretty sure everyone here is sick of me by now...sorry guys, not going anywhere. Not until we hear something official from Bioware

I could of sworn I played with a TamiBx in multiplayer.

Interesting choice of words for the title...<_<

I know, but you gotta read the last line, it's not only rude but he doesn't really look into why we are angry. These 'reporters' give us all a bad name :crying:

If anything it gives the 'reporters' a bad name. They are, in effect, insulting or trying to insult gamers...that would be the very same group of people they are meant to be writing for. They are either too stupid to realise that they are attacking the very people who provide them with a job, or assuming that most gamers will be too stupid to realise that they are doing this....

Kind of off topic. But the one thing I have heard a bit about, is the fact that everyone thinks they will be doing a "Retake Omega" DLC. Only problem I see with that is where is the benefit? Retaking Omega doesn't really contribute much to the whole "gathering war assets" vibe. Which all the DLC's would have to be based around really if you think about it. Why would you A) Take back Omega if it has no tangible benefit and B) If it does have a benefit, or any DLC for that matter, why do it if there is no tangible benefit to the final outcome?

Exactly, for true fans nothing. I'm not buying anything... period.

And it's not off topic... thanks Vandriel.

Just caught this on the Mass Effect 2 (yes two) Facebook feed.. shows more than just your squad alive, at the beam.

Hold the line.  Hope lives.

Gasp!

I saw this post but didn't even find the people who were there strange.

Hope lives

Sorry to crush hope....but this is the scene BEFORE the charge so your squad can still die if you don't have enough points.

im not sure exactly what the benefit would be but Aria is practically advertising that as a potential DLC

Reinforcments are here, SSV Northumberland is RTB to refuel and re-arm. (Captain needs sleep).

This made me smile a few times so I thought I'd pass it around

Good luck holding the line.

I've thought about that too. I mean, all the mercenary groups (pretty much all the assets you could get from Omega) are already available in the game anyways...

Easy the Omega space station is the real Catalyst thus unlocking the real ending!Image IPB

Yeah, and I believe that 5th person is the one Major (not sure of name, formerly Big Ben I believe) rather than Kaidan. Unfortunately.

Guys, all of these gaming sites are paid bully boys of game developers.  You can't take a single thing seriously from someone who is getting money (and a lot of it) from advertising.  They are going to defend bioware until the bitter end for fear of loosing that advertising money.  Hopefully retarded articles like this KEEP coming out so that folks will realize just how corrupt those sites have become.

sry.. but this sows only the mates u chose for the final fight BEFORE u ran down the hill...

5 people there though, you (standing up), Anderson I'm assuming, Garrus, Liara, and Kaiden.  Seems weird you're all alive, the Reapers are not shooting at you, and you're standing at the beam ;)

You aren't at the beam yet. You're on a hill that leads to the beam...trust me, the charge hasn't happened yet. Once the scene is over, you start charging down the hill and that's when Harby starts shooting...and then therefore kill your squad if you don't have enough points

There's no room for Marauder Shields to get between me and the beam there.  This HAS to be after that.  If only for that fact alone ;)

Remember when that guy at GameSpot got fired cause he didn't give Kayne and Lynch a good enough score, if that's the case then all majorly funded gaming sites have made any argument invalid, just sayin

He obviously has never played any games that have a proper epilogue. We aren't asking for a history of the universe, just a history of our friends. We aren't asking for an oversimplified "Ending for dummies" that leaves nothing to the imagination, just one that makes more sense. People like him don't address the plot holes one iota. For example he mentions nothing about the relays and the races apparently being stranded, or the whole Normandy thing.

You have to realize one thing about gaming journalists ESPECIALLY online ones, their salaries by and large, are paid for with ad revenue by the very people they are supposed to be critical of. So they can never come off as being too harsh to them, they just lightly bruise them now and then to give the illusion of being objective.

It looks like the people who actually liked the endings have created their own facebook group to support the endings www.facebook.com/DemandABetterEndingToMassEffect3#!/groups/206027856164956/ I am really hoping to see some real discussion by the people on the other side of this issue as to why they do like the endings.

Quoting their Agenda "Those who want it changed to something simpler and
more straight-forward apparently do not understand the whole point of
the series.", I think I can say that your hopes will not come true.

While I accept any Opinion on that matter, this whole "You just don't understand it" is not the way to go^^

Haha god this place really is like a support group of some sort. When I hit those horrible endings, I hopped online to see if I just didn't get it and people were saying the endings were deep masterpieces but thankfully no. It feels surprisingly good to know that I'm not alone in my feeling horrible over this ending.

As for what it is we want, though many see things in different ways I think we all agree that the ending should just be reexamined by Bioware. At the very least I think we want to discourage future games from taking such a terrible approach towards ending not just a game but a whole series. People to this day complain about Halo 2s ending but at least there people knew there would be a freaked sequel. In this case this is it. This is the end of.Commander Shepard and probably the crew. Hell it might be the end of all Mass Effect games. And THAT was how they sent us off!? With a vague last minute space-god-child-AI Deus ex machinations thing?! With an uncertain end for the whole crew and zero closure? A terrible idea.

Personally I think the best ending would have been something similar to Dragon Age Original. DRAGON AGE ORIGINS SPOILER WARNING At the end of DA you are given an actual choice at the end. You could be noble and sacrifice your life or you could allow your warden companion sacrifice himself. Finally you could let Morrigan have her way with you and nobody was sacrificed, though you have to question her motives and whether the world would later regret your decision. Three clear choices, not just whether you prefer your space magic in cinnamon, mint or blue berry blast flavor. Sacrificing yourself actually meant something when it was an actual choice. In the end of ME3 there wasn't a choice in that so its made pointless. Players who wanted a darker ending in DAO could sacrifice themselves and the end would be their own funeral, watching the friends you made and possible love interest in attendance while you're given a heartfelt eulogy. Those who wanted a happier ending (for their characters personally) could survive. They'd be given further closure and choice by ending the game where they can go through and talk to their friends, often being asked what they plan on doing next whether it be settle or keep fighting or whatever. Finally it all ended with a slide show explaining how some of your actions played out after your story was done. It was IMHO the perfect ending that offered most players what they wanted and a whole lot of closure. You certainly didn't have a huge uproar over the ending like you have here. How many of us would feel much happier today if that were the kind of ending we got?

YES. I have posted several times that when I heard about the multible endings, DA:O was the first thing to pop into my mind.

That game shows that Bioware can give us a good endings with lots of outcomes that also resolves the plots of the party members. So what gives?

The loopholes in logic still are not properly explained; the potential cultural perspective of the Reapers is, but aside from that, the author actually makes a point to skew the moral results of the endings and insult the opposition on a zero-grounds basis.

If those in support of the story's ending can press a logical explanation, (everything else in the ME universe, from manufacturing processes to biotics is covered), for the endings, given the unyielding and contradictory nature of the Reapers, then I will listen.

A few reasons why fans can/have demand/ed a better ending in almost any situation
1. Fallout 3 had its ending changed so why not Mass effect 3
2. The book series Sherlock Holmes had its ending changed by Arthur Conan Doyle (Where holmes got killed)
3. The TV series "House" had its ending changed
4. The customer is always right
