Ok. So after reading the article, my ideas on the ending have become more concrete. I really think Bioware has more to this ending.

The finale hours of Mass Effect 3 thing makes it seem otherwise.

Ignore that app, it isn't official; Bioware has at least confirmed this fact.

All that stuff is over 6+ months old........second it also brillantly feeds into the fact - we've been indoctrinated.

I was right there with you. I was satisfied ... until I found out just how much work went into it. I still go back and forth as to whether that should ruin it for me or not. I suppose not, because I still hold on to my original reaction - I was pleased.

Ending = far bigger problem. Agree.
As for the picture, my view is this - It was already put into the game so there is no way to "unsee" it. I accepted it as a gift from tali, she left it in my room. Sure the concern of how much thought was put into it can be discomforting, but nothing can change it now. The in-game tali gave me that picture, so that's what she looks like.

The Liara image in ME2 is basically a stock screen capture of Liara (that is, incidentally, used in multiple codex entries). That said, at least it was of her actual character model rather than a (badly) photoshopped stock image. I could make a better photoshopping in about five minutes using filters and the smudge tool.

But we have bigger fish to fry.

Agreed.

We can only donate as we're able to afford to; no-one is lesser or greater.

It's nice to see that some people thought well enough to make those massive donations, but everyone's donation counts.

Likely... much, much, higher because a lot of long time fans have not completed the game and are avoiding spoilers. I'm sitting here with two on team speak as i type this. Sometimes a question comes up about the game in a general way and I sit here biting my arm off. They know I've finished the game 5 days ago. Actually, I finished all three possible endings which are for all intents and purposes, the same nonsence. In retrospect, how dumb of me as I could have search around and found that out.

Seems to me the backlash has just begun.

How they look at votes is - for every vote........there is 10 people that don't vote........so 40k x 10 = 400,000

that's 40% = that's a lot bigger number.......other I think was like 2k or .2%  as times goes on; if the numbers don't change but sell more - the number mulitplay chances.........

I don't remember the exact formula but it goes along those lines.   They know at least 70%+ of people that have bought the game hate the ending.......I think the theory of; we've been indoctrinated is starting to sound more and more plausable.

The massive amounts of people hating the ending doesn't tell me that we're being duped, it tells me that bioware's writing department seriously didn't understand their fanbase while writing the ending.

The pregnancy couldn't work, due to levo and dextro proteins. We're lucky enough that she didn't die from allergic reaction to kissing Shep. and sort of offspring, even if it was viable which, given cross species breeding is unlikely, would most likely be toxic to her.


Hell, what am I saying, surely the red sparkly whizz would fix all that.

theres a big upward line - suggests a large amount was donated at one time

Has everyone here heard of the letter writing campaign? RetakeME3 says to send your letters, email or snail mail, to Bioware on the 17th! If we all send our letter at once the sheer amount of them should make a nice impact~

Wouldn't mind. But of course they'd have to actually do a bit more with tali. Such as the unveling. I mean the photo they give you is good, and works well, but I think Tali deserves better than a midly doctored stock photo from getty images. I mean...they didn't even get the fingers right, they just cut two off a normal hand and be done with it.

Every jerk out there calling us "entitled whiners", lack of response from BW, the general lack of caring from BW and EA.
Lying to your fanbase and acting like you are the best thing since sliced bread is not a good way to keep people happy.
I'm so happy that Child's Play has gotten some good out of this all, but I just don't care about it anymore. BW and EA are not getting anything more money from me.

Agreed.  I was all for holding the line, but the complete lack of response from the company to whom I gave my hard earned cash is completely unacceptable.  I save my money for other games, I read some Mass Effect fic for catharsis, and then I go play some Skyrim.  Life goes on.

Yes, someone made a $10000 donation when it was around $13000 total.
Suddenly it became $23000.

Regardless of that, there have been ~2200 donators and 50.5k USD donated. That's about 23 USD per person. The 10000 donation only lowers that average to 18 USD per person which is still nothing to be sniffed at. Not everyone can afford it but people are giving which is all that matters.

OMG, I'm so PROUD of us! I couldnt ever imagine the proportion of what we are doing. And Im so happy of being a part of this!

I tend to think they really thought they were creating the first piece of "gaming art".  There are so many themes in that story, the problem is theme were created as a by product and I think that is the theme most of us ended up playing.  So they had no control of the story for a long time and didn't realize it.
