The pregnancy couldn't work, due to levo and dextro proteins. We're lucky enough that she didn't die from allergic reaction to kissing Shep. and sort of offspring, even if it was viable which, given cross species breeding is unlikely, would most likely be toxic to her.

Hell, what am I saying, surely the red sparkly whizz would fix all that.

if you romanced tali in ME2, you'll notice she tells you that there is no more negative reaction to your presence after you wake up together. No more worrying about killing or making her sick!

Oh yes, I am aware of that, but that's just bodily fluids. An offspring, even if it were possible, would be far worse.

Nope, I'm definitely going for adoption of a quarian orphan and spend our evenings on rannoch looking out across the sea at the sun telling stories about Uncle 'karian and Legion.

I may prefer the alternate, adoption of another quaria or human child. It was suggested earlier

Guys, the green beam of magic light fixed that remember? Now everyone is part Reaper part human, Tali included. So you can have you little green reapers running around the house, harvesting reaper ants and reaper flies and all...

Green Peace Thanks you for Green is the color of Peace right now... :)

Not sure if it occurred to anyone else, regarding Marauder Shields, I had Garrus in my Squad and in the ending Sequence Tali (who was also on my Squad) and Liara came out of the ship, could it be that Garrus died and was instantly (or how ever long I was out cold from the Lazer) turned into Marauder Shields and still had my back, trying to protect me from the ending.
Garrus Vakarian - Best Brother even in indoctrination. You shall be missed T_T, you Baddest of all Badasses

As for freaky Shep-Tali children, doubt it's possible considering the whole bilogical structure of Quarians and Humans are highly different. I was gona adropt a Quarian a Human and a Turian with her. The Turian would have been raised to be a Shepard-Garrus-Hybrid.

that was actually one of my first thoughts since garrus was on my squad lol

You know, just kinda realized. The fault for this ending we got is a direct impact from the tool that leaked the original ending almost near release.

Ofcourse it dosnt change anything now, but just thought it was worth giving a thought. =)

I'm so happy that Child's Play has gotten some good out of this all, but I just don't care about it anymore. BW and EA are not getting anything more money from me.
It's that simple.

Agreed.  I was all for holding the line, but the complete lack of response from the company to whom I gave my hard earned cash is completely unacceptable.  I save my money for other game, I read some Mass Effect fic for catharsis, and then go play some Skyrim.  Life goes on.

From day 1 when I joined this movement I knew it would be hard to get an answer, I KNEW there would be no hope for a better ending, and I knew they would blatantly ignore us for as long as they could.

But this is not why I am here. I am here because I am sick of companies acting as if we were nothing else than money bags. I am sick of companies doing whatever they want without any regard for their customers,  and I am sick of their attitude as soon they will be demanding us to buy their products again..

It's nice to see that some people thought well enough to make those massive donations, but everyone's donation counts.

Exactly, it doesn't matter how much it matters that we did. I think it just shows the spirit of our community as a whole. When it brought up as an idea we supported it when we could have dismissed it. So EA/Bioware/Mainstream, do you really want us whiny brats to stop carrying so much to the point we used our passion to fund an important charity? The adult mature thing to do would have been to shrug our shoulders and be apathetic I guess.

This thread moves so fast I have no idea if any of these responses were in response to what I had said. I'm going the paranoid route though.

I would like to clarify that I think everyone who donated, regardless of amount, is awesome. My comment about those two huge donators is that such large amounts are shockingly selfless (strictly imo) so I wanted to thank them for being more generous than I. Regardless of what you donate, the fact that you donated to a great charity like that is worthy of note.

Just a question if anyone here is a molecular biologist.  I was always pretty good at bio, but this is way above me.  With different DNA would it even be possible to have children with Tali?  I have always kind of wondered about that.

I studied Human Genetics, so I think it's close enough.

No, it wouldn't be possible. The species might be cose enough to produce an offspring but that would be sterile, like the offspring of a Horse and a Donkey. Given the different protein structure of their bodies and basic chemistry, it is unlikely that fertilisation could even take place.

Thanks.  I am pretty sure I followed that, but it did remind me why I dropped my Microbiology major for Political Science.  Haha

I'm a bit surprised by how much this is festering more and more for me. Maybe it's because I've lost most of the hope I had with the indoctrination theory. Regardless, I have to write something else if, for nothing else, to vent my frustrations. Like so many I've been a lurker here forever but I've posted more in the last week than I have in the past two years or so. Xelv88, a fellow former lurker, has pretty much nailed so many things about this so I'll try to stay clear of too much repitition.
My first video game console was an Atari 2600 I got for Christmas when I was 6. This was back in '85. The first game I was really crazy about was the Double Dragon arcade. I've been gaming my whole life and played some great games. Mass Effect was the pinnacle for me. I bought it back in 2007 I think because I was a big fan of KOTOR (sorry Baldur Gate fans. I never delved into PC gaming much, so forgive my lack of street cred.) Loved KOTOR but Mass Effect made me the Bioware fan I became. I had never seen an interactive story this good. When Mass Effect 2 was on the way, my excitement was at fever pitch. Now I'm not looking for a pity party here, but the week it was released, my mom died. After some time had passed, I got part 2 and it was a big part of helping me through that. Mass Effect 2 was everything I hoped for and more and I awaited 3 like no other game before it.
I'm saying this because if Bioware is reading any of this, I just want them to know what they accomplished. From a crappy ports of Pac Man on Atari to the amazing Super Mario 3 on Nintendo and so on, I have played games all my life. Bioware created my two favorites. As I said on the review forum, it was a space opera for the ages. I fell in love with the characters and the universe they created and that's why this ending hit as hard as it did. If Gears of War 3 ended with this level of plot holes, I probably would've shrugged, said "psh, stupid," and moved on. This was so much different because Bioware set the bar nearly impossibly high and Mass Effect 3 surpassed it at every turn until the last few minutes when everything became just inexplicable. Not only did the ending just seem overtly cruel to the characters and the universe I grew to love, this wasn't even the same game anymore and as much as I try, I can't understand how some people give it a free pass.
Let me set up a scenario for you. At the end of "Revenge of the Sith," Obiwan leaves a charred Anakin behind, gets on Padme's ship and sits down next to a healthy Anakin. "Sup," Anakin says. How many of these sites would call that artistic vision? How much slack would George Lucas get? Every one of them would be saying this is further proof that George Lucas sucks and rabble, rabble, rabble.
Why were we told we would not be getting a Lost ending and then get exactly that? Something that promised closure and just ended with way more questions. How can magic teleportations and endings with a veiled excuse of some sort of choice make it into the masterpiece I played? And let me be clear, I have a life outside of Mass Effect. I'm fully functioning adult with a career and other interests. But man, this game pretty much brought out all the geeky fandom in me. I think many of you are probably just like me in that respect.
The more this drama unfolds, the more I feel like I may have to just accept that when it came down to the wire, some people were either clueless or just didn't give a crap and it shames all the other people who worked so hard to make the gameplay better, to make the characters better and to actually pull the impossible and make a blasted good ME multiplayer.
I have to say, I'm holding the line here, but I'm losing hope and am close to fully expecting this to end as it is. What's that Marauder Shields? Don't step into the light? You know what? You're right, Marauder. I'm going to listen to you this time and Sebastian, Rose and Natasha Shepard will live the high life, celebrating the impossible victory over the collectors. Poor Vincent Shepard ...

I just got an idea for a way for a good/better ending where you don't die to make sense.

So when you get the hardest/"best" ending where Shephard presumably lives you destroy the parts of Shephard that are synthetic.
Obviously this would cause great deal of trauma and make it hard/impossible for him/her to partake in combat.
If Mass effect 4 or something of the lines of it where to take place right after the ending of ME3 it would give a reason for why you can't play as Shephard, while giving a happy ending for him/her.

Although presuming they had the technology (which wouldn't surprise me) you could probably create a dextro copy of Shepard's DNA, subject it to a process similar to meiosis, and fertilize Tali with it if the species are close enough. Same Re: Garrus and levo-DNA.

From Forbes ,

"If Bioware actually ends up making changes to the story based on fan feedback, it will be a landmark moment, not just for Bioware, but for video games as a whole. Combined with the recent success of Double Fine and Wasteland 2 on Kickstarter, we could be seeing an entire new era of gamer involvement with the development process."

And this is what gives me hope for a real ending. A respected site with respectable journalists writing articles that not only understand our demise, but also support our cause. I am proud to be here.

As for green light synthesis - I would never pick that option. Diversity is what makes the universe great! making everything a machine would destroy that...
