Nice! Good catch, friend  :)

See, why couldn't they have said THIS hours ago? Would have saved us a LOT of grief with a single sentence.

It's been a tough fight my friends, but Bioware still hasn't silenced us, like Jenkins on Eden Prime to the hands of the geth drones.

And you know why my friends?

Beause we were there. we were there when we met chief gunnery Williams, and Kaidan Alenko, we were there when Saren shot Nihlus, when the beacon sent us on a journey that would mark our lives.

Because we were there to save a shy quarian girl on her Pilgramage, we were there to help a C-Sec Officer with a sense of justice, and a disgruntled bounty hunter, we were there when Shepard became the first Human Spectre, we were to witness the fall of the Rachni, we were there on Noverria, Ilos Virmire, we made the sacrifices we had, and we did not forget.

We were there to witness the first Reaper talk, to hear his menacing warnings that trembled through our souls, we were there to defend the Citadel, we were there to see the future of the Council, and of Mankind.

We were there, when the Normandy was torn apart, we were there when Shepard was reborn anew, and we were there to meet the man with power, the man who hold all the cards, the Illusive man, and we felt in our skins his true power, the power of the word.

We were there in Omega, we were there to find an old friend back against the wall against all odds, we were there when we met the salarian scientist who had all the answer, we were there to meet the Master Thief with a request, and the Mercenary with a vengeance, we were there to save the traumatized biotic and we showed her the path, we were there to help old friends in Ilium, and find spiritual assassins of great honor.

We were there to see old friends turn their back on us, and we were there to see old enemies turn their faces to us, as allies, we were there to risk it all in one mission, and survive it, despite the cold grasp of the threatening reapers, to shut down the collectors, and we prevailed.

We were there when earth was struck down, when we found an old legend come to life, and we were there to reunite with old friends and meet new ones, we witnessed their growth, their sacrifices, their coming of age, and their resolution, what it means to be alive, and what it means to be free, to be released from fate and write your own path.

We were there until the end, and that is why after 5 years my friends, in the face of adversity, from the smallest Volus, to the most threatning Harbinger, we will not let this end like this, not in an explosion of amazing grace and fullfilment, but in a dying flame. We will hold the line for this past 5 years, for this past stories, for the enemies and the friends, they deserve more than a trifecta of illusions, they deserve an ending that fits the legacy.

We will Hold the Line, I will hold the Line, for Mass Effect, truly the most wonderful journey I have ever embarked.

Just a question if anyone here is a molecular biologist.  I was always pretty good at bio, but this is way above me.  With different DNA would it even be possible to have children with Tali?  I have always kind of wondered about that.

I studied Human Genetics, so I think it's close enough.

No, it wouldn't be possible. The species might be cose enough to produce an offspring but that would be sterile, like the offspring of a Horse and a Donkey. Given the different protein structure of their bodies and basic chemistry, it is unlikely that fertilisation could even take place.

The protein structure alone says "Ahhh no" the genetics... well even if Quarians were levo-proteins... what are the chances that the genetics of two species that evolved on the other side of the Galaxy from each other are even vaguely close to compatable?

"We're listening"
We're
listening to all of the fans pain we just don't care enough to respond
to it. We like hearing you're depressed and we hope we can make you
further depressed by ignoring you.

Don't think about it that way, there's a lot that goes into responding to something of this magnitude that sprang up this fast, it's almost like disarming a bomb... you have to be very very sure EXACTLY what you're doing. They're telling us their listening so that we know they aren't ignoring us.

The problem is that that thread is lacklustre. It was started by Chris and then went on for 50 pages with similar comments to this with no interaction apart from when the "The Final Hours" business hit the fan, locking us all out of the forums for 30 minutes.

It's appeasement tactics, nothing more. As I posted in that thread:

"Hey, wait a minute. We're going about this the wrong way.

Chris, what was YOUR favourite moment in ME3? And how did you feel when tens of thousands of fans overlooked that moment because of their disagreement with the way it ended?

Because I'm pretty sure that's exactly how we felt when our favourite moments were reduced to ashes and multicoloured sparkly whizz."

That would be hilarious if they did something like what happened with Delenn on Babylon 5.

Neither thought it was possible.

Also would hilarious if quarian pregnancy was like Minbari; irrational bouts of anger.  The Bosh'tets would be flying!

Man...we really need a good ending for this.

Yeah, at this point, even if nothing comes on the endings front, after reading the Forbes articles and listening to some TB, gotta say we still have to hold the line on the basis of consumer integrity. Cause like a lot of people have already said, don't stop 'em now, and it'll only get worse from here.

I may prefer the alternate, adoption of another quaria or human child. It was suggested earlier

The pregnancy couldn't work, due to levo and dextro proteins. We're lucky enough that she didn't die from allergic reaction to kissing Shep. and sort of offspring, even if it was viable which, given cross species breeding is unlikely, would most likely be toxic to her.

Hell, what am I saying, surely the red sparkly whizz would fix all that.

But I have to wonder about this - if you romanced Tali in 2 and kept the relationship in 3, when you get the "together scene" he asks if she's ok.  She replies with something like, "Yes.  Not even a sniffle, I've adapted to you.  It's what we do."  I wonder how far that adaptation goes. . ..

Or, you know. .. :wizard:

I am sorry but *cracks up laughing*

Waiting on the Kotaku Article about the Mass Effect 3 community members band together to support the ending...
I hear that golden pyramid tomb for the Kotaku writers is supposed to be finished by the egyptian slaves later next decade.

Im trying to write an article about our side to Kotaku BR. They were an ass about us too.

Nem tente. Aquele bando de fdp nao estao nem ai pros jogadores. So querem puxar o saco das empresas..

There were enough tweets and posts on their site regarding their comments about our situation and the thing is, they couldn't care less. And not only Kotaku BR, but all Kotaku as far as I have seen. Even if you write an article about our side, they just won't post it, or if you post antyhing in there they might as well delete. Sad, but true nevertheless.

In the meantime we should be trying to gather attention from sites and other journalists that will actually write a piece about us. Someone with  a serious reputation, such as Forbes (they already did many articles), and hope to draw more supporters to our cause.

As we stand, we are not defending only our right to have a ME3 ending, but we are a milestone int he gaming history for we stand againast all the corporate BS the game industry has been throwing at the customers for the last decade..

STAY TOGETHER
