I don't like the way the ending(s) was executed either but jeezuz people are getting REALLY upset over this, like they gulped a bottle of downers. You guys relax, everything will be ok, if not there are other better games on the horizon you can check out. I'm just beginning to worry about some people and the depression that seems to be setting in for them.
And despite that, Bioware continues to be cryptic and silent, that's just cruel you guys. Holy crap.

I doubt anyone but Bioware will have any lasting damage from this :P

You're probably right, Bioware will be feeling this shock they must be feeling for a long time.

I however am still dreadfully upset by the ending (more so than I honestly thought possible, I can't even talk about it without tearing up) but I just finished it last night....I hope it gets better soon.

My boyfriend is trying to avoid spoilers, however now he's seeing that I'm not on the P3 anymore and staying glued to the thread. Don't even have the heart to tell him.

Tell him.

don't tell him I found out before finishing the game just finnish the krogan story and now I can't bring myself to finish the game:sick:

You have to keep playing, just stop after you get to london and speak to all the squadmates before the final push. The cerberus part is just too good to pass up

Everything before the stupid beam up to casperland is amazing. London too is very well done.

Its really not that uncommon. I remember something in psychology class how people cope with everyday stress by escaping into their hobbies (which in this case is a game). It may not always be the most mature thing to do, but it gives people the chance to "recharge our batteries". Its just a testament of how engrossing the ME series has been to incite this kind of reaction to a majority of people posting here, and maybe more. Yes, I myself am worried about more depressing reaction of some players, but I do not hold that against them. They might have more underlying issues as to why this would affect them so. Some of he examples I've seen is one person has ptsd, one had a parent die when hey first played the series, another recently lost his job etc etc. So I ask please do not judge immediately, but instead support anyone who needs it.

And yes, Bioware/EA's cryptic responses and silence is downright cruel.

Hold the line!!!

That's the main reason the ending cuts so dang deep. My first thought when Shep got up was "Oh crap. . . they can't do this. . . can they?" . . . "They did. . .".

I actually found it physically painful to watch.  reminded me of Rocky.  I was just like get up, get up at the screen.

I know I said I was going to bed but I had a thought while having my cup of tea. Sadly I'm starting to think we may never see the endings we deserve. I think what we're seeing is not a poor design team or a poor corporate understanding, its a leader who has lost touch. Casey Hudson has said HE didn't want an ending that would be forgotten. If he is honestly in the position to make that decision then I think we're seeing "Too Human Syndrome".

Yahtzee said in his Too Human review that an auteur developer would rather take the trimming shears to their own eyes than to their beloved magnum opus. I think this is exactly what we're seeing. A gentleman that had such an influence in the end that he changed the story to what he wanted and not the fans.

I'm glad to see somebody besides us say the obvious.  The took the ending strait from another EA franchise.

Honestly, play through until Anderson says "Proud." Then exit the game as fast as you can.

^this

My first(Maybe only) Shep has a save before T.I.M. base (In case of a good ending or more militry points added ending)and while walking with the tanks. You can never get enough points for the Bad Good ending without multi-player.There were two or so missions that were removed/locked  that would have allowed you to have 4100+ points at the end for the Good Bad ending with single player. At least someone on another thread said.(grain of salt).I refuse to play this Shepard anymore knowing they will die no matter what I do(T.I.M. wanted control,NOPE not gonna do what he wanted,Saran wanted merge, another bad Idea.).Could'nt get a couple of missons to finish and reset the reapers hunting me,and most systems the reapers were looking for me.So I went to T.I.M. station with only 3200-3600points.Ceberus part is good!Seems like it would be better with E.D.I. and Liara.
Really I liked the game!,it was great for 93% of the time.Play on 360 and have had 0 problems with the game.

If that's the case then my money is thrown at Blizzard.

earlier I couldn't keep up. but after the final hours release people started moving over there and I think it has effected people.  it bothers me to think there may have been no plan to begin with.

I just had a brain storm before you choose from your three deaths if you destroyed the reapers didnt the children of the corn say that if you destroy the reapers it would wipe out all synthetic life and you because you were part synthetic? If thats true and you did everything right and got the scene where shep takes a breath that just proves that the indoctrination theory was true because you i guess lived or whatever so i guess expect dlc some time or another

Don't worry, soon we'll be bolstered by reinforcements from our Asian allies. Besides, give people a bit of a break. Its been several days since they beat the game. Just because they may not need to be here doesn't mean they aren't still pissed. Lack of presence in a forum doesn't mean lack of interest, or lack of anger at what will go down/be said in the future.
