How many of us belived they would learn from their misstake with DA2?
Well, I really believed that.
Stupid, silly me...
To be honest I held the dragon age team to different (lower) standards than I did the mass effect team. I guess that distinction can't be made any more
I did that too!! I mean, DA:O was amazing, but my expectation for DA2 weren't as high as ME3. See, ME3 was the sequal for 2 amazing games, so I thought they would nail it this time....almost did, if they didn't have the alst 10min...
Any news??

They still have DA3 in development and ME3 DLC for 1 year. Acutally after DA2 and ME3 people will probably watch the endings before they become invested in the DA3 story assuming it ties up all the loose ends from DA:O, Awakening and DA2. Is it worth to spend $60 dollars and not get a conclusion to the story? Might aswell buy 3 really good books that will take you 100 hours of engrossing sci-fi story with a proper ending.
So is anyone here goining to buy dragon age 3 where the ending is a dream in the fade?
I think I'll buy this game instead

Theres a post about 2-3 pages back of translated text. Basically they are calling it Rent Effect and can't believe what they did to the franchise. I smell a new NGE.

If someone would have told me about this mess before I bought ME3, I just would have imagined the whole game instead of just the ending...
Well, I would've asked people to tell me the story. Basically the ending is the reason why to this very day I haven't watched Matrix: Revolutions.
As to your previous question: I have no problem following a boycott. Did so with previous games and will do the same with Mass effect 3. Multiplayer had it's fun moments, but just the different races, classes and abilities were interesting. I prefer to play horde in Gears 3.
I'm up for that. I'm tired of being ignored (Write a post in which you say "I'm listening" is too cheap). No more Bioware for me. Nu-nu.

And if anyone at BW is actually reading this:
when so many people complain that the ending is stupid, inadequate, and poorly written, there might be something to it. And throwing "artistic vision" in their faces does not counteract bad writing on your part.

DA3 is their last franchise comeback card and it does have a 3 year dev cycle so you never know.. They can't use the we didn't have time excuse.

Actually they would lose a lot more than people think; consumers we are. We are the ones that end up paying for their paychecks. Its doesn't just hurt ME; this also hurts MMOs tied to EA; other games. I know lots are not continueing their subs with TOR until this is settled.
I seriously hope you are right with that, but I highly doubt it, only once I have seen a boycott on a game developer actually work and that wasn't some giant company like BioWare but a small studio...MeldarthX wrote...
BW can very well pull magic out of the bag on this one
Hardly. It's quite clear that they have NOTHING prepared right now, so even if they would be willing to cater to our protest and change the ending, the would have to do everything from scratch: new cutscenes, new storylines, get the voice actors back to the studio and so on...
A task like that takes months to complete, so there is no hope for the near future.
That's where we disagree..........as I've stated in my theory and others are starting to see it also. Indoctrination theory fits so well - not just for Shepard...........but us also..........its planned - all the hints on the tweets; one about the guardian is lieing..........another tweet; have you finished ME 3? after guy said he had; which hints at no you haven't.......
BW plan; *this is theory and guesswork* is they wanted polized discussion on the ending for couples of weeks after when everyone had the game and then announce *free or not; I would say free* DLC for endings.........also tweet about; if customers knew what we had in store for them; they wouldn't think this way.
What I believe now has happened was BW/EA weren't prepared for just how many people hate the ending. Love the game; but ending just........ugh.......that's what's caught them off guard.
All of this is just Circumstantial evidence - but it makes for a very compelling case.

DA3 might tank because of this. The New IP's not so much. Dragon Age isn't a planned trilogy so i am quite concerned about the DA3 ending leaving so much stuff unanswered from 2 games.

Do you know they have 3 years? Thats much better than 16 month ( I think it was 16 for DA2 maybe I am wrong)

Sigh... I don't know why Penny-arcade think you have to be "True" sci-fi fans to understand the "beauty" of ME3... I actually feel sorry for them if they can take this amount of beating and feel good about it. Also it seems they don't give any proper light to the faults and instead cling onto their "True" sci-fi fan theme...wolfsite wrote...
