So I translated some comments from a japanese website regarding the ending and me3 overall .

To
be fair, I picked the first comments in the right order of the site.
I`ll quote the japanese letters here as well, dont know it will be coded
correctly. For reference you can follow the link,too.

find really big topics about this on 2ch etc.. just here and there some
smaller discussions. so i choose one of the first hits on google to
translate. But to be said, the mood is similar at many sites.

First of all there is a "nickname" going around for me3 in the forums,
instead of Masseffect , many people call it became "rent"effect

and
sad but true, there are many many rude comments about the homosexual
content,many feel very offended by that, so Ill avoid these.

To summerize, its pretty the same picture.
And to add on officlal sites like amazon.co.jp the ratings are pretty high.
But you have to remember that Masseffect overall isnt that popular in Japan.
The
official game magazines rates are very high,though for the bigger
magazines they even didnt bother to test the game, they simply often
translated english reviews AND gave the same score.
on the forums you see a different view of many disappointed people.

Well, this is getting a bit silly. I have finally mostly got over the melancholy from finishing the game. They definitely need to change it for me to be able to replay anything in the series again.

I have been looking at the forums a while but haven't really posted. Just wanted to add my voice to the hordes.

Please Bioware, change the ending. You have currently ruined gaming for me since I haven't been able to play any other games since. If that was your mission, good job. Please restore my faith in your company.

ME3 was the first game I bought a Collectors Edition for and what a bad decision that was. Still enjoyed the game mostly. Didn't like the fact that Jack wasn't featured much in the game. Felt like a kick between the legs. Then the ending happend and it was more of a sledgehammer between the legs.

My faith in them fixing it is very low but hopefully for once I will be wrong in these matters.

I thought they modelled it on purpose - both being some kind of reporter thingy. At least there is something ME3 had at this point: A choice to tell her to leave.

Yeah, her eyes sometimes made her look as she was possessed and going to throw up or something. It also feels weird to get only 5 points worth war asset having another "custom made" character on the Normandy. Making Cortez or Trainor a custom look would make much more sense.

Well I am using the German language pack for the game, but as far as I heard, her original voice in the game sounds borderline terrible...

Why let her do the voice acting anyway? Well if BioWare sucks up to IGN in that matter, they can be sure to get the press coverage and review results the want, can't they?

Hi Everyone, I am joining in to support our cause.

What a fool I had been to pre-order ME3 CE for PC AND PS3 months before release, trusting that BW brings this trilogy to an awesome end where choice matters.

I don't mind bad endings or Shepard dying; but not without having a choice, chance to bring it all to a positive end or at least get some explanation what actually happened. I even regret buying the art book, comics, novels etc. as I will never touch it anymore. There is no desire to replay any of ME after the awful ending that has been burned into my head.

Incredible how in my opinion the best of all video games trilogies has been ruined in 10 minutes. I have been playing video games for 28 years and have never been immersed more into a video game as with ME. This is why I am here. This trilogy must not betray its own prinicples of choice and "we can" attitude.

I am joining in. Hold the line fellow comrades...
