When I explained my dissapointment to my girlfriend, she just gave me the "its just a game" look.  Can't have everything in life I guess, haha.

"We are definitely listening to opinions! Please feel free to add your feedback: " whenever someone writes to them that the ending really was downright disappointing and terrible.

Really, I have stopped caring wether or not they "listen" to opinions, I'm more concerned by "what are you going to *do* about those opinions?"  

This will take time my friend. We all wanted the ending we deserved when we first beat the game and it's insulting really that we have to fight so hard for something we may not get. But take heart, you're far from alone^_^

I appriciate it, fellow comrade-in-despair :happy:, but in the meantime Mass Effect 3 is becoming a running joke on the internet and even among people who haven't even played the game...illustrated by for instance nerfnow.com with their recent pearl posted just above ^

You guys do realize that this game is literally Deus EX machina..

god out of the machine"; plural: dei ex machina) is a plot device whereby a seemingly unsolvable problem is suddenly and abruptly solved with the contrived and unexpected intervention of some new event, character, ability, or object.

So yeah it's pretty much junk... Can't figure out an ending... Solve it with a god!

Japane assets are coming online rapidly, and they're not happy.

Angry Joe has added his asset to the 'endings are horrible' cause, and he agrees with us that the rest of the game was good.

This is great news! With the japanese we have all the assets we need, right?

P.S. I had the EXACT same reaction to the ending. If I was sitting at a table I would have flipped that sucker. 

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting such a balanced review, I mean, overall the game is pretty great ( last few mins not included ).

Very balanced. Very funny. Very true.
I had a feeling Joe might agree with us. As do a lot of the smaller reviewers who aren't part of the mainstream media.
Feel free to make your own assumptions as to why that might be the case.

OMG...I want the super saiyan ending 

I can actually imagine it...although, the end-scene would be an hour long.
It goes something like this:
"These are your options, choose"

Shepard looks down, blood running out the corner of his mouth, he starts to chuckle. Spacekid continues to look. That's five minutes alone. 

Five minutes later Shep finally looks at the kid: "You underestimated me. I have learned the secret power of spacemagic!"

He takes a wide-legged, stance, despite being torn up as he is and flexes every single muslce he has, down to those making your nostrils flare. 
First he growls, then he starts screaming, sacekids eyes start growing wider. 
"His war-assets! They're over 9000!"

Shep continues to scream for another good half hour, his implants flare up bright golden/yellow, until he finally stretches out his arms and the whole galaxy explodes in a beam of light.

But in the end, spacekid is dust, the reapers are dust, Shep needs to stay in a full-body cast for about 3 days and emerges completely healed to live happily ever after.

The end.

Rainbow ending = earth is destroyed, geth and EDI destroyed, every1 is forcefully synthesised, shepard dies and gets to control the reapers. Did I mention the best thing, instead of the mass relays exploding they implode from the magic of a rainbow

Forbes is hardly small, but it's also not really a gaming magazine.  It's a business mag...and if a business mag says this sort of thing is bad for business, then, well....
