Heck - the far east crowd is very, very quiet on this matter. That doesn't sound good.

They are far from quiet, and are shouting as loudly as we are and saying the same thing. Of course they are not shouting in English, nor do many of them speak/write English, so they are not posting on here.

I also remember reading an article on Western games in Japan a few years back. There was a bin of Xbox 360 games on sale with the label of "Western DogS**t" or something equal to that. I don't really expect a lot of noise from Asia since I don't expect a huge amount of sales there.

It's not. They have at least happy ending.

Now I hate Mass Effect's ending as much as the next person, but to compare it too Twilight...that's just low.

As someone else said, Twilight had a happy ending, and at least it gave the readers some closure. So, even if the series was not to our liking (I am being civil) and much poorer than the Mass Effect saga, the ending on the other hand was much superior and better written...

While the stargazer and child are discussing, the ending comment was
child: "tell me another story about the Shepard"
stargazer:"its getting late, but one more story..."
then it fades to the sky. Could it be suggesting that a possible DLC will tell this "other story"?

Joker walks out of the normandy, and it looks like you are about to play as him.
Compare to many other scenes throughout the game, where the cutscene ends on shepard, and you continue right after the cutscene.
 at 8:37.

It's a longshot but hey, i'll take anything.

Honestly that's not good enough. The old man's 'one more story' would need to start with "Ok so forget everything about the ending of the story I just told you, that one didn't make any sense. Don't really know what I was thinking, probably the senility kicking in" to be acceptable for me.

I also believe bioware stated no singleplayer DLC would take place after the ending. Not that reenacting Lost from Joker's viewpoint sounds all that great to begin with.

Justin Bieber songs have a happier ending than ME3, at least the song is over, yes?

And its over a lot faster than the end of ME3. At least he doesn't torture us for 10 minutes, just three and a half.

No offence intended, but I believe this is a wasted question, if they were to respond, I doubt very much it would be in this thread, they are more likely to start their own sticky with a response, and IF they do respond, I doubt we will see anything till after the weekend.

Anyways, I figured biowares plan, they wanted universal symmetry, since they stripped out the beginning of the game, they decided in order to prevent a paradox wiping out the universe they'd strip out the ending to keep in harmony with the universe..

I don't remember there plot holes or other crap aka starchild.
And I don't really care how Twilight ends so I can't  be disappointed.

they said that before everyone was getting angry at the ending right? Hopefully we (large portion of people who hated the ending) can change their minds.

When people ask that, they usually aren't meaning they expect someone official to post in here. They are more asking US if we have seen anything new said about the situation in our journeys around the net. Most people come back to a new 300 pages so its easier to ask if there's news than trying to read through all of what's been posted since they were last here. The thread moves too fast. :P

Well, a horrible ending is appropriate for a horrible movie. So, in context, one could argue that Mass Effect's ending is worse.

bioware what did you do?

I will fully admit, Bioware turned me into a sheep Albeit an internally raging against sheepdom but I have full on wool and baaaaaah.

As much as I hate the endings of ME3, as much as I have been railing against making pre set choices rhather than the ones I *want* to make, guess what I'm doing? I started up ME against last night even though I have no interest in the stupid Mako, dodging thresher maws or my sniper rifle sliding all over creation. I will kill Wrex even though it feels so wrong to me. I will make every choice needed from here on out to get the 4k WA needed for the special ending.

WHY am I being a sheep despite my railing against these concepts? Simple Paranoia. I can watch the ending where maybeShep takes a breath on youtube but what if I need that specific save for something in the future? I have to have one actual save of my own to use even if I hate the journey of getting to there.

I'd actually argue that Bioware has been extremely successful. I have been Indoctrinated. I may rail against it all but I'm still replaying this **** the way THEY want me to.

Same situation here, friend. I never had a "breathing" ending (being dumbstruck with ghostkid I chose green for the 1st time and blue for the second). But I guess I'll overcome myself and complete a game with a red one - just in case. I only hope my galactic readiness hadn't deteriorated to much, cause I have no desire whatsoever to touch MP again.
I guess I'm making a slow recovery after that crushing blow - I even cleaned my apartment today for the first time since march 6th.
Guess after the 3d playthrough I'll drag my miserable self to this thread again for some grief-counseling.

no, the exact opposite:
his songs are driving you insane while played, and you want them to stop. Once finished, you are glad, and you never want to hear anything like that.
Mass Effect 3 is an awesome game you enjoy playing, and don't want to stop. Once finished, you are  - insert green blue or red..

You can play the MP instead, it's not good, but it is average enough as a horde co-op mode that the 3-5 levels you need to get enough readiness is not that bad.

There was also a point made and I apologize for not having the source to cite that the game officially ends after the whole stargazer business. So there's room in between the cr.. stuff they gave us for endings and when the stargazer appears for DLC to fix it.

That is exactly why people ask - I went to bed, came back and found 300 extra pages...if I tried to read through all that there would be another 500 pages by the time I'd caught up....;)

Maybe those are hints as to what BW is planning but if they go either of those routes my respect for them will still be lost.

I don't know, maybe its just me but in 99% of cases I hate the 'it was all a dream' device, which is basically what the scene with the old man and the kid is. If they go with that to continue the story I feel like its just a cheap cop-out ending that BW used because they didn't/couldn't wrap the story up for whatever reason (granted it is possible for them to do it well but after the current ending I've lost faith).

As for playing as Joker... That doesn't really help the current endings since that takes place after the space magic has done its damage. When I play Mass Effect I'm not looking to play wilderness survivor which is basically what would happen what with the mass relays gone and the crew stranded on some jungle planet.

Both of those ideas have some merit as potentially better ways to end the series but BW would be walking a very fine line to keep the ending of this fantastic series from becoming absolutely ridiculous (more so than it already is).

Yes, and it'll be mid-game DLC. The "one more story" could take place at any point in Shepard's life. That's the only way they could leave themselves room to insert DLC content without changing the whole game.
