You know, I was just thinking back to Arrival and my talk with Harbinger. Most of characters (7 of them) follow the Paragon/Paragade route and I still remember Shepard telling Harbinger:

"Maybe you're right. Maybe we can't win this. But we'll fight you regardless, just like we did Sovereign. Just like I'm doing now. However "insignificant" we might be, we will fight, we will sacrifice and we will find a way. That's what humans do."

Sadly, it feels like in the end, Shepard's words were hollow. He just gave up. But we won't. We'll keep fighting and we will find a way.

It kind of feels like an edited version of Braveheart.

"They can take our lives, but they will never take our freedom!"

"Oh what's that? Sorry, God just spoke to me in the form of a child I saw the English kill. He says if we give up our freedom and join the English army that we will keep our freedom. What a deal!!"

Seriously, when did Shep turn from this:

to this:

We ran out of pretzels, the coffee shipment turned out to be decaf and we have no clean underwear.

Apart from that no change.

Oh god, just got over that lol, nearly forgot all my greviences with the ending, hope thats not what its like with with ME3 in 6 months :(

exactly....that whole plot line was a waste of time....number one example of leaving a plot thread hanging.  although i didn't romance anyone in game, seems to me that when you care enough about to create entire dlc that emphasizes it (because isn't that what shadowbroker does?) that you finish it up.

I'm NOT going away BW nor will YOU out wait me - EVER! I'm here until I gain total vindication for my five years and hundreds of hours of lost sleep, agonizing over my decisions, watching them play out - utterly dejected when I messed up - BUT I knew I could do better and started all over again just for the joy, the majesty, and the triumph of it all.

That's worth the fight however long it takes and I will not accept anything less. And BW YOUR ending proves itself a massive failure across a races, cultures, and countries - therefore I am the person who is in the right - NOT YOU. YOUR product proved itself that failure we have all predicted. THAT is how YOU are all remembered - but you all still have time to make it right for ALL our sakes. Thank YOU.

I was thinking the very same thing. I know for a fact that Paolini's writing style is poor compared to other artists of our time, but at least the story was interesting...

However, the ending was a massive failure as well. I only read the last book once, and I was WTF?? Never touched it again. But now that you mentioned it, maybe Bioware writers decided to follow the same line of ending.... who knows?

Everyone on this forum is required to read this article and watch the video at the end. You dont have to watch the whole thing if you dont want to. Just skip to around 10:50, thats when the discussion of Mass Effect occurs.

This NEEDS to be reposted a lot as a reminder to HOLD THE LINE!

The difference is that the book advertising didn't promise me multiple endings according to my choices and actions. When I was done reading, I knew that was it, and moved on to better writers and better books. Even if the story didn't have a closure, I had one, meaning "Paolini, you ......" and that was it...

But here, my Sheppards (note the plural) don't have their closures, and I don't have mine....

So, either Bioware comes up and offers its most sincere apologies regarding its sub par game and poor writing (including the many plot holes) or I will just forget that Bioware ever existed and move on, to better companies and better games....

Holding the Line...

Never got around to finishing that series and now I don't think I ever will. I'll stick with Jim Butcher and Harry Dresden. Love those books.

I just had a thought about how widespread this is starting to become. Maybe the whole issue will get parodied on South Park... Or better yet, Futurama. That show would be perfect for it. I could just picture the Professor: "Good news, everyone! Space Magic!:wizard:"

See, I will. I have already admitted a sheep so I will totally pay for DLC if it gets me a better ending. I won't be buying DLC that doesn't affect the endings in some way, at least not until there is future DLC that does. If not well then I still love the ME story, but when I reply the games in the future, I simply won't finish the 3rd.
