So we can't get the ending we want after all?

"I honestly think the player base is going to be really happy with the way we've done it. You had a part in it. Every decision you've made will impact how things go. The player's also the architect of what happens."Whether you're happy or angry at the ending, know this: it is an ending. BioWare will not do a "Lost" and leave fans with more questions than answers after finishing the game, Gamble promised."You'll get answers to everything. That was one of the key things. Regardless of how we did everything, we had to say, yes, we're going to provide some answers to these people."

BioWare can't talk to us because they're making some calibrations.
No, because they are going strictly by the PR handbook.

I have a random question, jumping through a relay makes you move faster than light yes? How did they smack into that planet without being decimated?
They didn't reach the relay. Were just going at FTL speeds apparantly.
By the lore it should still kill them but whatever..

I hate to see such a grate franchies fail in such a horable way and I beg you Bioware plese fix this or at the very least talk to us. I would hate to see you go under because of this. and don't think EA won't do it they will.

Good article... and a very good perspective
I agree good perspective. I'm kinda interested in where this goes.
Odd considering the comic itself today is labeling us with the "They just want a sunshine and rainbows ending" tag.
They're just poking fun. I would love to have that ending.
(Just kidding, BioWare. Please don't take that seriously.)
To be honest, having one possible ending being transforming the reapers into delicious ice-cream would be something I support. They've already established they can fuse organics and synthetics with space magic, it isn't a stretch to assume you could use the same magic to fuse synthetics and desserts.

Clearly you're supposed to come up with that explanation on your own, speculation is waht you want from a game right?Dudemanley wrote...

Casey Hudson is not Adele, even if what he does in private is his own damn business.
And that's the reason, the endings are so horrible, because Casey focuses on his carrier as singer

Anyone read the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini? The ending of ME3 reminds me of that seriries. No reasonable resolution to the LI. No reason to go away forever. Just forced and rushed. Could be just me...
I was thinking the very same thing. I know for a fact that Paolini's writing style is poor compared to other artists of our time, but at least the story was interesting...
However, the ending was a massive failure as well. I only read the last book once, and I was WTF?? Never touched it again. But now that you mentioned it, maybe Bioware writers decided to follow the same line of ending.... who knows?
hold the line.
The difference is that the book advertising didn't promise me multiple endings according to my choices and actions. When I was done reading, I knew that was it, and moved on to better writers and better books. Even if the story didn't have a closure, I had one, meaning "Paolini, you ......" and that was it...
But here, my Sheppards (note the plural) don't have their closures, and I don't have mine....
So, either Bioware comes up and offers its most sincere apologies regarding its sub par game and poor writing (including the many plot holes) or I will just forget that Bioware ever existed and move on, to better companies and better games....
Holding the Line...
The opinions and comments of those like Nilofeliu are the reason that Mass Effect fans as a whole are labelled as 'entitled'.
Mass Effect 3 is not a 'sub-par game'. The 'game' aspect of it is, in my opinion, better than most action games, and certainly on par with the last game in the series. It is not 'poorly written'; so many moments in this game number amongst the funniest, the most stirring, the most heartwrenching and the most heartwarming in the entire series, if not in the entirety of video games.
The ONLY true issue is that the endings, for whichever reason you choose, are perceived as disappointing by a great number of the fans. So let's keep the exaggerated criticism in check, and don't insult the hard work of a studio that has done a lot of amazing things, just because they may have screwed up the last 1% of the game.
Hold the line.

Wow, Forbes just has got our back on this lately. Kind of nice - we've got enough people debating the merits of the endings themselves, but not as many sticking up for why it's okay to go all the way and stand up and say no, not good enough.
This article is very, very good. I love that it questions the interaction between gamers and devs. This has the potential to go somewhere very fascinating.
