Hmm, is this a bit pretentious sounding to post over at gamepur?

As a supporter of the Retake ME3 movement I do not agree with the actions of "El_Spiko" and I feel it goes against the core ideals of what we stand for.

Yes, this ending made this fan do something he/she never, ever wished to have happened and I can't personally blame he/she. They never asked nor agreed to art either. And if anyone is in this for how the press thinks of our displeasure - then YOU are in for a heck of a lot of needless emotion and pain that never should have affected you in the first place.

Ermh, sorry I got confused at the first line you wrote there... Where in the world did you get that idea from?

In truth, I don't disagree with that. But I think it's too early for this. It's not why the line is being held, we are trying to give BioWare the benefit of the doubt, to make an explenation to do something. Especially since usually we have a good communication with BioWare.

FTC complaint (at least for me) is something you do when you're and your complaint to the company that it is about, is being ignored by that company. It's only been so long since the game even came out. Yes, we claim we've been lied to, but lets BioWare answer first, or wait a few weeks. THEN if nothing happens do the deed.

Yeah. I never said I was supporting what he was doing or filing a complaint of my own, because that's the kind of thing you do as a last resort and it's waaaay too early to pull out those tactics. I'm just telling everyone who says that guy has no chance that he does indeed have a chance - albeit small.

Just keep your cool, everything will be fine. Bioware already supported us yesterday by saying we are the civil ones, when they locked down the forum because of the abuse. And whenever they call us a vocal minority, Bioware stands up for us too, so dont worry, they know the movement wont do this.

That's not pretentious.

'Pretentious' would be to claim that a shooter/RPG hybrid turns into a piece of 'nonrepresentational' art in its last 5 minutes.

I can't believe someone filed a complaint to the FTC. I mean I didn't like the endings, but that's extreme. That guy is wrong, the only way to get Bioware to listen is to be calm, and civil. *facepalm*

He's the marauder you kill just before jumping into the beam to the Citadel. We call him "Marauder Shields" because that's what shows up on the HUD. The joke is that he's a hero for trying to stop Shep from getting to the end of the game.

Reminder: Let's be sure to stay civil and respectful to everyone. Keep the Bioware bashing to a minimum.

Everyone should also keep in mind: Bioware isn't going to just get their information from a gaming website. They'll come here to see what's really going on. Everyone here is being really cool and we're obviously opposed to this kind of action, so Bioware will see that.

Anybody who actually comes poking around to see how we feel will find out the truth.  Anybody who doesn't bother isn't going to be convinced no matter what we say anyhow.
